  1. I didnt realize it did that.. I ll look into it.. It is strange that you are the first to report it... Mame has been listing games with its own mini UI for quite some time now.
  2. Is this in Gameex or MAME? Either way im sure you can redefine your keybindings in either application. In Mame you press TAB on your keyboard... In Gameex check the setupwizard.
  3. Some BIOS's have the ability to poweron the pc from a keypress. The option is KBPOWERON.. However Dell isnt know for leaving in many options in the BIOS.. Worth a look
  4. Here one I wrote. Tested in another thread. I am attaching a new loader, I found a version of PT that will let you play in full screen mode. This is what I did. Ran the emulator, went into setting and video, made sure fullscreen was ticked. Tested a game. Then I rewrote my loader- Attached is the new version, with the emulator I used and source. Usage is the same. Unzip a game, place it in same directory as the programs are. Navigate to your command propt and working directory. PTLOADER.exe "Game name.jag" It is important to use "" in paths and file names that have SPACES. PT v0.95.zip
  5. You would know.. X64 editions have a boot screect that Says Windows XP X64 not to mention all the trouble you would have findong 64 bit drivers. Oh ya... you would know.. LOL 32bit im sure.
  6. NullDCNaomi uses lst files to load games. You probably do not have them. That wouldnt suprise me because Demul and Makaron dont use them either. Actually, you wouldnt use the "default image trick either" I think you may be trying to use the naomi version the same way you would the dreamcast one.. Which wont work.
  7. Well here it goes.. The DIFF file (MKCHHAMP) does several things. 1. Removes NAG screens and MOST messages.. Game loading, rom disclaimers,Game not working and probably even your save state messages. 2. Lets mame save games hiscores. Alot of MAME games use NVRAM files to store scores etc... But not all games store this info and since MAME strives to be accurate they removed the ability to save hiscores in newer versions of mame via .hi files a long time ago.. MKChamp re enables it. I believe the HISCORE.dat has all the info per Game or Driver that tells it how to save, and in the HI directory .hi files are created that stores your data. Whew Lastly it was not to recently that the sound board in DK games has been emulated... In some games that the sound does not work mame uses SAMPLES, which are recorded sound bytes in the form of WAV files. In the mame directory you will put your SAMPLES in the SAMPLES folder. Unless you feel like updating your MAME and Roms to the newest versions, I would aquire the samples pack.
  8. You probably got the wrong version. The newest is here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VB3YY908 nullDC-Naomi SVN r108
  9. Sure! Hit me up.... In a nut shell, you download Mame 106 source. Download the DIFF from MKChamp. Use Bens mamecompiler. Unzip the mame source, fill in the paths in Bens program, Patch using the DIFF, then compile mame. Once you have your MAME.exe, drop it in your mame directory. Make a folder called "HI" in the mames directory. HI score files get saved there... Also grab the latest HISCORE.dat
  10. Try demul.exe -run=atomiswave -rom=[ROM] or demul.exe -run=atomiswave -rom="[ROM]" Having the whole command quoted may be the issue
  11. I have a midway (mortal kombat) cab that uses those. 8-10 x 5/8 TORX T20 MIDWAY/ATARI PAN HEAD http://www.twistedquarter.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7&products_id=698&zenid=mgm7gc1ql9qu3v070c3lnc14n5 2 bux on amazon for the screwdriver http://www.amazon.com/Great-Neck-TX20-Torx-Screwdriver/dp/B00004Z2LL
  12. Well we know that Saturn (SSF) will not launch the games directly. You have to mount the game using a virtual device software like Deamontools or similar. Secondly you are talking of ZIP files, Deamontools will not mount a ZIP directly it needs the archive decompressed. So the workflow would consist of Gameex calling a program to unzip the archive, then have Dtools mount the archive, Then load the emulator and the game. That is many steps. I simply do not understand why people need to keep their PSX and other Disc based games in ZIP or ECM or other compressed format, it takes longer to load because it has to unzip first, it creates more trouble because there are more things that need to happen in sequence and in a timely matter. Hard drives are very cheap these days. Anyways, you mention it does not happen outside Gameex. Yet Im guessing the disc is already mounted and you are launching the emulator.. Right? But we are not testing all the sequences 1 at a time? Have you decompressed the archive to see if the error is there? Have you mounted it in Deamon tools by itself? Is there an Error? The "C" error could be anything, there are so many involved steps. For all I know it could be anything from an incomplete error code talking about CRC or maybe even an issue with a "CUE" file. Or maybe some portion of what you are doing is coded in "C" language and there is an error in the application. More info please. Also please post your config for saturn.
  13. Wierd shit lke this happens if you are using a "tiny" or "nlite" version of XP... Would that be the case here?
  14. You will want to update to the latest build, then also install the latest build on your new PC. Once that is done copy the Gameex install directory from one pc to the next and overwrite everything. All necessary reg entry's should have been added from the installer. Install your license and you should be good to go. Just double check your paths for your emus.
  15. I have a few Singe games running through daphne by the use of batch files. Gameex can launch games by use of bat files. So I think it should work fine.
  16. Wow, Congratulations!!!! It's funny how much different little boys are from little girls. My twins Jacob and Emily are 3 years old and are completely different personality's. Have a cold one man, you deserve it!
  17. Well, older versions of GX do install to the Program Files folder. However you could be right and it would make since. Cpieczonka can always see where is Gameex shortcut is pointing to and manually install to that directory.
  18. DA version is still Gameex with some logos.. Update are designed to not overwrite settings. Feel free to backup your Gameex.ini if you feel nervous.

    U64 Config

You may need to aquire new CHD dumps.. Mame loves doing that. u64 emu is ok for low end PC's but is not accurate timimg wise. If your PC is fast enough to emulate via mame, id just get a new set. Brian
  20. Download the setup from the Gameex.net homepage and install. That should put you at ver 11.33
  21. I have not seen this issue. What version of Gameex are you using? What is your screen resolution? Maybe a log file may help. Brian
  22. Wow Where do I start? I will share a little bit about myself. I am 30 years old and a father of two kids. I got into emulation when my friends older brother showed me a program for DOS called "nesticle" on his Tandy computer. I was amazed to say the least. There were no torrents, on my 28.8 modem I searched for roms and emulators.. One by one I built my collection, then I discovered MAME. It was actually Mameworld where I found Gameex listed under the FE section. I was familiar with Dos and emulators but front ends were new to me. I browsed the forums for many months before joining and only joined the forum to solicit help. Not only did I receive the help I was seeking I felt very welcome. It was very refreshing. Other forums I visited were very rude to n00bs like their knowledge was so elite only they could possess it. So.. I decided to stay and learn and pick other peoples brains that were more 'in the know' than I was. Gamex became a drug to me, I woke up and logged into gameex. At work on my down time I logged into Gameex. Pretty soon I was able to start helping others. What a rush that was. I was finally able to give back to the community that gave so much to me. After a bit I was promoted to Moderator and then Admin. I have learned so much and have made a few friends along the way. In the years that I have been a part of Game ex many things have happened. I got married, I had two children, I went back to school and just recently got my AA degree. My life is evolving but I am still here. Everyday I am reminded what a great community we have, how different we are from other boards. I'm not saying we have not had our share of drama over the years but Gameex is a staple in the emulation community. We have some of the best members around. Here is to the Gameex community!!! Thank you for everything! Brian Hoffman
  23. So you are looking for an intro video instead of a theme?
  24. I'm pretty sure that's just the default theme. Note the Change view tab up top? That will make it have a tiled appearance. If that's what your looking for.
  25. I have a FEW machines.. most have mame or some emulator.. Hell, my phone even has emulators on it. Not everyone has a cab that enjoys the simplicity's of a FE.
