Thanks HK, had actually got it to almost work with the WHDload sets found the list etc..but when launching a game kept getting an error, which i cant remember what it was when i get some spare time i`ll give it another go ( with frequency's remote help lol ), and report back maybe you may be able to point me in the right direction

No, well yes ish.. if you remember we got very close, but you said you'd need to read up to get more insite, works with WinUAE in GamEx in a fashion ( still got a small problem but works), the problem i think was because so many games require different set ups weather its A500 only uses the AGA chip set needs fastram etc, etc... if you were to use only A500 or A1200 games then the loader would probably work fine, also the format they are in zip, adf also doesnt help.

I tried, but failed with this ( even after paying for a reg :-( ), hopefully others might have more patience than me lol.

Hi, welcome to the forums, i think i might be able to help a little, Firstly if you havent done so download winuae and try and config that outside of GameEX and try to get a few games running, once you have that running report back, also tell us how far you've actually got ? and post your configs so that others can see whats happening. look under how to ask for help.

surely if i set the option to disable sound for the emulator i get no sound in game??

A lot of time my kids use the cab to play pc games is it possible to set a list so many games can be selected via a list , ive set it up with the sims 3 and sims 3 runs fine but do i have to set a separate emulator for each new title or can it be done via a list like other emulators?

Right 1st before you say it looks crap, you need to bear in mind its ALL hand built on a very small budget , I had all the parts except the i-PAC,j sticks and buttons were bought new from the net, every thing else screen, the T- Molding ( from a fruit machine! ) the PC, speakers, lighting etc... are all 2nd hand I spend about £120.00 on wood, paint and plexy glass. This has been a test run with the intention of building a much better one next time round with a track ball,slightly smaller control panel and professional gfx / art work. I have learnt also to use plastic spray paint don't use oil based paint lol ! Your views appreciated. Buttons on the side for Future Pinball The kids playing in while i was trying to configure it ! im also having the problem with a few emulators when they exit the arcade ambiance does not always restart so your left with a sound less cab and need to restart GameEx.

For number 1 make sure all your roms are in the same directory in the config you have Rom path just copy all the roms there should sort this problem For 2 you need to make sure in the configuration for rom filter you have *.exe meaning only the exe files will be shown and 3 it seems the emulators are not giving the focus back to GameEx you`ll need to post your config and gameex,ini for help on this please see under How to ask for help

HI Unfortunately i have the same problem, posted a while back but no fix for this, its a case of restarting GameEx to get the ambiance back again. Also why r u using the none supported config editor, you should be using the set up wizard, as arcade ambiance is not a file but a directory now.

as you probably know i have gameex on a removable hddrive and it works in both my win7 64 bit htpc and my win7 32 bit cab so i expect very little trouble for you. Ian.

I have noticed that if i post a message in the forum using my HTPC it shows the tag i used on here a while ago even though i have removed Gameex from the HTPC now, as my cab is running GameEx 24/7, so is the tag program not actually looking for GameEx running but some think else as have noticed that it says im running B-em when in fact my cab is running Jetpac on the spectrum currently, it also says im running version 11.89 when in fact im running 11.90 and uptime is 0 minutes when it should be 6 hours ( at current time ). I do not have Gameex installed on the HTPC. Is it possible that somehow the tag is still on this system and if so how would i remove it. Im using firefox 5 and not IE. Ian

earlier on while my cab was in sleep mode ( showing games randomly ) somebody questioned what was the game currently showing...is it possible for GameEx to display a little info about the game its showing in attract mode? Just the name and maybe the emulated system... hears a thought also what about an option that if you press a key it allows you play that game ?
