im getting a weird problem when exiting GameEx ( pressing esc ) the mp3 ambient continues to play the screen goes black and it takes almost a minute before GameEx actually closes and returns me back to the desktop, ive also noticed a delay when navigating around the GameEx menus nothing shows in the GameEx log so its difficult to know where to start, ive cleared all the cache and made sure no other programs are running after start up. Any ideas?

My theory ( and its only my opinion, lol ) is that because GameEx has so MANY great features we simply forget about some of the smaller ones?

Is it me? But i find it odd that people install this fabulous piece of software called GameEx that is an HTPC and emulator front end then wanna strip it back to do just 1 thing baffles me why doesnt this guy simply install a genesis emulator? Ok im British so maybe i dont get it ???

I sometimes think its good to post even if you find or resolve the issue yourself, sometimes a pointer in the right direction is all some people need to get out of a tricking issue with a problem so its all valuable information.

1 too have seen this, i belive if you have the pops up displayed or bezel working i believe it will give the name of the game, but 1 too would love to see a feature where maybe a play now icon could be put there, i recon its a valid request.

Has any body else had GameEx locking up after trying to exit, all i get is a blank screen and i have to reset the cab and restart to replay. Enclosed log although no errors show, so any advice appreciated. EDIT: last log shows 22:35:38.8 21/10/2011: Shutting down display this is where is hangs. error.txt

I suppose for me it was all to do with cost, i went for the I-Pac2 from ultimarc and to be honest its brilliant has never let me down and is so easy to program simply wire up your controls run the program press config hit the button on your cab and way hey done i programmed my whole cab of 20 buttons and 2 sticks in about 10 mins. So i`m very happy with it, would recommend to anyone and would definitely buy again if needed, but that's just my opinion.

the sorting options are not working for me (ie no mahjong, no shooting games etc) in the options. Do you have any filters turned on in the mame options, do these games show in the normal mame listing?

I too am looking forward to running this theme it looks awesome, so thanks Edit: i installed your theme and it works fine on my cab res of 1280x768 and can confirm the blue updating bar works perfectly. just love the little bleeps when you select, nice touch, all in an awesome theme.
