Is this not a way windows handles files, something to do with the number of characters long a file is, i remember a while ago i had to number things like this to make it work. game 0 game 1 game 2 etc... try makeing the 1st mega man megaman0 ? Just a thought.

Thanks for the file Tom i installed a fresh version of GameEx and applied the file you sent and all is now working ok dont know weather it was the fresh install that sorted it or the gameex file but its now resolved so many thanks

Ah bro thats sweet, love the colour changes on the buttons per system, how is the switching / controlling done ?

To be honest i cant think off any games where 7 or 8 buttons would be used except for Defender, i use buttons for this as i find it easier than a joystick, so for me it : up,down, thrust,fire,reverse, smart bomb and hyperspace. but also in saying that when not in MaMe the buttons also double as navigation for GameEx for example my right flipper button is fwd in GameEx and volume up in jukebox.

posted this a while back, but im still getting the error where when i exit GameEx it it takes about a minute to close i get a black screen, can here the ambience playing in the back ground, but all input is dead, cant even do a ctrl alt del to get to task manager, also when navigating around GameEx back and forth threw options im getting about a 5-10 sec delay ive attached my log but doesnt seem to show anything. Ive updated and not alterered anything else its still the same pc in the same cabinet as before any ideas? log.txt

Is it the latest mame version ? and latest version of GameEx ? R u trying to run mame32 on 64 bit o/s ? does mame run outside of GameEx, does this happen every time you run it ? Try running in compatability mode, like xp sp2 for example. As Drago said a little more info would help please.

I like the way GameEx does group the favorites together, it means that you dont have to keep exiting favorites and try to remember which system your favorites are in, expecially if you have a lot of systems emulated lke myself and many others do, but again thats just my opionion.

New looks is nice, 1 question is the like button functional cos i tried to like a post and i keep getting an error saying An error occurred You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day. ??? it was my 1st try.

I also have this problem and posted and help a few weeks back with a log, lets hope this can be resolved. It seems to be after the last few GameEx updates that its happened for me, and i havent changed any hardware in my cab. The longest hang ive had is almost 60 seconds and as kenpachi states it does appear to be linked to length of time playing.
