  1. I'm having a weird problem where the Game Tag resets itself if I execute a shutdown in GameEX. If I leave GameEX running the tag updates properly and uptime is correct when I'm switching games, but as soon as I shutdown or close GameEX the tag and uptime information resets. I can't remember if this behavior started happening when I updated GameEX or installed latest version of the plugin. http://imgur.com/hVkJJIK here's what's in GameTagger.log
  2. When you have a game loaded in MAME. You can press TAB key/video options/ and there is a Rotate feature. To have the rotate feature enabled globally for all horizontal games, just copy and paste your mame.ini to a folder called ini that's in the same location as mame.exe or mame.64.exe rename it to horizontal and set either rol 1 or ror1 If I'm understanding what you're wanting to do that should remedy your problem
  3. NES emulation in MAME is pretty Awesome. If you use and have the nes software list, you have access to pirated carts which are pretty interesting that I believe can't be found in any other popular sets. Being able to use HLSL, OpenGL, save/load states, cheats, etc. makes the emulation very enjoyable MAME now supports many unique different things which can be read about here. http://mamedev.emulab.it/etabeta/
  4. I'll give that a try because one example I'm thinking of is, if I want to run Game Boy Advance (gba) from MAME, then I launch that machine. I can TAB to MAME's internal menu selecting File Manager/cart After which I can scroll up to [software list] and load any GBA game I wish. Anyway, I didn't consider the other emulator slots. I'll give that a try. Thanks!
  5. I myself would like an option (if possible) of nothing being filtered. GameEX already has many ways to navigate through a listing fairly quick or you can just simply type a letter or 2 and launch that game that you want. For the people wanting filters they should depend on catagory.ini or other methods to do that work for them instead of users being forced upon themselves a filtered game listing.
  6. Thanks Tom for the quick fix. It's working great now
  7. MAME 0.162 is out!

  8. Hangs at 25% for hours now. Deleting listinfo.dat and executing update list also produces same result. http://imgur.com/XoTJChO Please see note on mamedev.org http://mamedev.org/
  9. No problemo u-man, I know you guys are very busy I'm also curious what will happen with his fork. If for some reason it is rejected I will have to pray Jezze keeps updated files somewhere online as progress is made and I will do my own merge and compile or just simply run MAMEUIFX Thanks again guys for all the work you're doing
  10. So I tried out the latest MAMEUIFX and can't get anything to look like your new HLSL pic. I even launched wonder boy Deluxe and it looks completely different. Am I not setting something correctly or did all the new HLSL stuff not make it into MAMEUIFX 0.161? Thanks in advance for any help Nevermind. I found his fork on GitHub and merged it into official MAME source tree. I really appreciate his work and looks great
  11. TAB\Input (general)\User Interface\UI Cancel
  12. It needs to be noted that official 0.159 has GLSL options disabled. You need to pull from GIT after the linked commit or wait for 0.160 to use GLSL with a non SDL build. http://git.redump.net/mame/commit/?id=f33d0614c397ad25b16523f96910cc8fdc1a8a00
  13. MAME/MESS 0.158 is out!

  14. This is 100% true and very good information. If you put your mame.ini in the ini directory and rename it to vertical.ini, you can even intentionally change the rompath to something totally incorrect. Then when you launch a vertical game you will get the error files are missing even though the correct path is in your mame.ini So think of it as a 100% override
  15. In case you didn't know, PinballX has MAME support so you could run all the MAME vertical games on your playfield display using PinballX http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/15343-upload-all-650-vertical-games-parents-only-mamexml/ Then just somehow setup GameEX for the horizontal games on your other display. You could make a copy of your MAME folder (not ROMs or CHDs) and have PinballX pointed to 1 location and GameEX use the copy that you've made. Then you can utilize these options to make it do what you want

    Wheel speed

It doesn't appear to have any adjustable options in terms of the speed when a button or key is held down. There's another button that cycles letters or just press the other button carefully instead of holding it down.

    map files

Maybe this Map File Maker can help? http://emumovies.com/forums/index.php/files/file/1145-map-file-maker/
  24. Have you tried temporally disabling all but one system and seeing if behavior is different? For example, disable FP, plus everything else and just leave Visual Pinball enabled as a starting point since you mention Visual Pinball 9.9.0 Is the behavior different after doing that? Does VP and tables load/work correctly outside of PinballX?
