Go to MAME on the list and the bottom option is an Update List option. It's always good to execute that when you change ROMs/CHDs or the binary.

I really wish there was some sort of "official" description database or spreadsheet listed somewhere. I always see so many inconsistencies depending on what site I DL tables from. inconsistencies like Bally (1992) Midway (1992) Then it's worse if *the* is in the title of the table The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends (Data East 1993) Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends (Data East 1993) Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle & Friends (Data East 1993) makes me wanna tear my hair out. I wish PBX or some tool had the capability of you point it to the folder with all your tables and it parses all information from the .vpt name/script or some database then creates for you a visual pinball.xml all ready to go so everyone can be using the same information.

It actually makes a lot of sense to hook up MAME with a vertical game only listing using the rotate feature

I just hooked up PBX and I must say I really like it! Thank You Tom for your continued work and active support regarding your software. At the very bottom of the screen in a gold stripped area, I notice it flashes the Description of the table, free play, & Press start. Would it be possible to add an enable/disable option in the PBX setup wizard that will display the name of the .vpt file either before or after it flashes the description in the gold area? The reasons I ask for this is... because HyperPin fails to do it and also and Take a Table like Fish Tales for example - There's a Table released by Authors melon as well as rosve. Sometimes I'm in the mood to play melon's table and some of the time I want to play rosve's version. Currently the wheel doesn't tell me which version I'm selecting to launch unless I memorize the positioning. Anyway, if this can be added that would be really cool.

OMG I'm an idiot. I didn't realize it had to be checked in the plugin manager to be enabled. It seems to be fixed now. Sorry to bother.

Hey Adultery, Thanks for all the work you do. I just updated to 1.0.9 version and it's not refreshing the last played info. The information at https://online.gameex.com/default.aspxis showing correct, but my CP settings are not in sync and says I'm offline when my GameEX is online http://tags.hfc-essentials.com/cp.php I've also linked the account correctly in the plugin manager http://imgur.com/zMRd2En Any ideas on how to fix this other than uninstall and re-install everything ?

I'm noticing in the GameEX online part of the setup wizard, It's defaulting the password to 29 characters regardless of what I put in and save. Every time I close GameEX and re-run the setup wizard, the defaulted behavior returns. I'm assuming it's something in the registry because this started when I was already registered user and upgraded again for Evolution? Any way to change this behavior because it's affecting my Gamer tag from updating? http://imgur.com/pD9FS1h

This is not an issue with GameEX itself and I believe it too be against the rules to mention ROM sites on these boards. The updates from (v0.153 to v0.154) were 20 GB if you factor in the ROMs + the CHDs All I can really suggest is using this guide --> http://www.mameworld.info/easyemu/clrmameguide/clrmame-guide.html Create a profile with the latest MAME binary which is 0.155 at the time of this writing. - go settings and add your rompath there - go scanner and scan + fix with all fix options checked Then the rebuilder can be extremely useful if you have ROM sources to rebuild into your destination to complete your set. Again this has nothing to do with GameEX and so I suggest you respect this forums and it's rules. Maybe googling can help.

Find your GameEx\DATA folder and DL the SS DATA.zip then extract it there. It will overwrite your history.dat and mameinfo.dat https://www.sendspace.com/file/lbuhn1 Then in GameEX execute Update Game List option. It might fix the problem when that process has finished.

In the GameEX setup wizard there is a verify ROMs feature you can enable however, I'm unsure of what that actually does. Perhaps try this http://www.mameworld.info/easyemu/clrmameguide/clrmame-guide.html

Yes, rom name = set name I'm not exactly sure the cleanest way it could be implemented.

I think the issue with a lot of people using MAMEUI and having the games not working in GameEX is they are not working with a complete set of good verified ROMs. In MAMEUI it has a show what is available column based upon what roms you do have, so you can pick something and those games just work most of the time. Now you mention Teenage Mutant Ninga Turtles (4 player edition). MAME has 2 different U.S 4 player edition sets named "tmntu" & "tmntua" It also has 1 World set which is the parent named "tmnt" You might consider running the setup wizard when GameEX is closed and look in Advanced MAME settings. Enable the only existing roms option and see if you get a different list than what your MAMEUI shows under it's available games.

qsound does not go into the mmatrix zip file as a lot of different games use that. I'll explain in a PM as this is not a GameEX issue
