  1. Good job man! Go easy on me
  2. Just so you know, P64 doesn't pause emulation well in the first place - it will often freeze and crash if you use it, frequently resulting in a reboot. It's one of the few i would advise against. Once it is running, let it run:)
  3. Thanks for the shout-out guys ^-^ but honestly, the Custom Menu feature of GameEx is one of the most powerful I've seen in any FrontEnd and would recommend that everyone use it. It's powerful, it's simple, and 90% of the time is exactly what people are requesting, not knowing that it is already there
  4. To be honest i can't empathize much because as soon as i discovered GameEx, i basically disregarded most other FE's From what you describe i think you can achieve what you seek. I'll share a couple of links and hopefully you'll find your way Custom Menu's Custom Lists

    Hello

Please accept my apologies lolafg - i glanced over your topic and made assumptions. I shouldn't have done that
  6. I would like to add that experimenting with the "Change View" option could yield what you are looking for, but it needs an open and expanded mind to utilize it properly. Of course, you could just wait a bit ^
  7. As far as i know this hasn't happened yet, but that doesn't mean it can't. GameEx comes built with a theme editor, it's very powerful and from using it personally many times, i can confidently say that not only will it do what you ask, it will do so much more! If you combine it with custom menu's in fact, i don't think ANY software available can compete with it. Period.

    Hello

To clear confusion, you will need to supply your own roms/files then we can help you
  9. I thought you resolve? QUOTE: the correct string: DEmul.exe -run=atomiswave -rom=[ROM] the uncorrect string DEmul.exe -run=awave -rom=[ROM] Not OK?
  10. We can't help you, unless we understand you
  11. Indeed all settings seem to be good. Please delete all cache files, then reboot Gameex and update list to rebuild
  12. I'm with B2K24 here (it usually is the history.dat, but it can be any of the 3rd party support files). My advice would be firstly to exclude all external files - just configure MAME, rompath and commandline. Boot GameEx, Update List and see what happens. If you still have problems, at least then we know where to start
  13. These are all good advices, and to add to it here is my bit of wisdom (unless it has changed): The "auto downloader" which you enable within the GameEx Setup Wizard, will scan your roms, then download all artwork it finds that makes sense and rename/name it to match (and put it in the folders you have already predefined in the Setup Wizard). However, there is a second more controllable external program that comes with GameEx. You can find it in Start> All Programs> GameEx> Config i believe. It may be called Artwork Downloader or something like that. With thiis app/program, you can manually point it to your rom folder, and it will download everything it finds that matches.
  14. It's just MS being how they've always been - buy our most expensive stuff or die. Build a decent Skylake system - give us £200/$300 and like it slave. WE PWNS YOU. Money wins. Way of the world.
  15. Them samples are DAMN smooth! Me likey. Is that your own algorithm for encoding, or have you found a way to exploit something? Either way that is impressive, and i hope all future vids turn out like that! Can't wait for the set Mr T
  16. From what i understand no - just replace (overwrite) your current vids with the vids from the the FTP. The auto downloader won't replace something if it is already there It doesn't do any fancy checks, like file size and hashes etc, it just checks if the file exists, and if so it skips. At least, that's what i've been thinking for a long time
  17. Also, in order for the Steam function to work in GameEx you'll need to have an "Active" Steam account. To make a Steam account truly active, you'll need to purchase at least one game, and be "online" for 30 days. After this, Steam will switch your account from temp to permanent. Of course you don't need to be online for this to happen - it's Valve's way of keeping temporary tags/ID's/rogues down to a minimum. Much like with freebie Live tags and temp PSN accounts. You can however instantly make your account active by buying premium content from the Steam Store. Purchase any AAA game or otherwise stated premium content and you will get instant account switch (even in sales!). Remember though, GameEx works flawlessly with Steam, as long as you have an Active Steam account
