I mean if you don't mind updating your rom set and all your CHDs, support files, etc then yeah, of course go for it. Just be aware that it'll be a lot of work.

I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Go for the 64-bit if your cpu can handle it, and stick with your current MAME build.

Just as a side note: It typically will revert to emubak instead of startbak if you have a generic emulator page in your theme.

I don't update MAME every time, but I do it often. As long as you don't make changes to your ROM set, you shouldn't need to update MAME at all. If you do keep your set current though, games will stop working unless you use the proper build.

Perhaps, but Photoshop is far more marketable a skill and also rewarding as an accomplishment.

I'm pretty sure these are the new IGN poker and slot games, and yes they are new. Do you have the no casino games filter on? I just updated my set yesterday and noticed the new roms but haven't updated mame yet so I don't know if the filter is missing them or not. They should be marked as not working anyway.

That's correct, Drac. I use the Artwork Downloader personally, as opposed to integrated support. If youre looking for visual representation of the files you download, thats the way to go. Call me old fashioned, but I like to see things as they happen.

Ahh my fault, I didn't realize you were using an external application. If that were the case, you're probably going to have to generate a batch file to handle your launching and have it sleep untill the process closes. http://serverfault.com/questions/245393/how-do-you-wait-for-an-exe-to-complete-in-batch-file
