I can't lie... It was the sheer amazingness of Ian Gillan and Ritchie Blackmore on Deep Purple's Machine Head that gave me the strength to kill this one... It's a shame I sold the vinyl. It's a real masterpiece. What a graphically beautiful game this is!!! One of the best shmups ever created!!! Several tries and I can't get past the 3rd level... That board is uber hard! Bullets EVERYWHERE!!! Anyhoo...

In before the end of the month. I would have done better but I died jumping th bridge on 5 and fell off the edge on 7. I may try one more time but there's no way I can beat MO. That score is recockulous.

It doesn't "clean" things, but there is the possibility of overwriting the files with whatever is in the update package... Assuming that there are db3 files in there.

NoClone evaluates to 'true' for MAME only, and even then only if it's a parent ROM. Data may be an extra column reserved for future use. Not sure what CustomDesc is for... I would have to ask GreatFlash. Are you working with the mdb or the db3? It looks pretty fine, and I can always appreciate someone who rolls up their sleeves and gets it done. I'm more worried about a GameEx update overwriting your hard work.

The score table for this game is INSANE! I don't think I can even put a dent in it.

Yeah thats because I sat and tried really hard. It took everything I had to get that score, I don't think I'll be able to get ya now. That score is crazy! Besides, I have some work to do over on Mr. Do.

My last submission before bed. The trick here is to punch the condor when you can, it's worth 1k each time and he's easy to hit.

Ahh Level 5 is fricking rediculous! But I can be happy with this on my first try. I'm sure I can do better though, this is a game I actually am good at. Had to use a custom Xpadder profile set to 4-way though or the dude jumps randomly. I'm gonna play a few more and see if I can top this, so you may want to hold off on the update.

Didn't HK make a plugin that uses a centralized .hi file already? Might be worth giving that a shot. It might be what you're after.
