  1. Also, you using an iPac or similar? Could be detecting a key press. We also don't generally provide support for old versions, so if it is a bug, there isn't anything we can do... Not that we won't try and help, mind you. JSYK.
  2. It's an emulator, nothing to it really. I'll let you know what you need to do as soon as you supply the requested materials. I'm sure it's your command line. Thanks.
  3. No problem, I'm happy to hear you got it sorted! Welcome back!!
  4. Will shit! Happy birthday, my friend! At least you can say this: dirt is still (a few days) older than you!

  6. I wish I had a full changelog for GameEx all in one page... I know there were a couple times we had to update GameEx because MAME broke the xml structure, and I know there was a pretty major update right around GameEx 14.82 (or maybe it was 14.83). I'm trying to find the update we did for MAME compatibility, since your old GX version may not play nice with MAME 0.198. I'll let you know when I find it, because if you can't get MAME to help generate a proper GameList, that's your problem right there. And MAME's -listxml would certainly be a problem if GameEx isn't able to parse it.
  7. The Switch is indeed revolutionary, but what we really need is a portable Windows solution with the power of a gaming PC. Thanks to Moore's Law (if that's still a thing), this is completely possible if not probable.
  8. No, he was just pointing you to the wrong spot. They're in the DATA folder. I'm making the assumption that you were able to get update list to show. Is that right? You said earlier that you can run roms from MAMEui, right? Can you run roms from CL in mame64.exe ? They are totally different, the results of one won't be anything to do with the other. What happens if you sub out mame64.exe with MAMEui.exe (or whatever that executable is called) and change your working path to there? Did you verify that the working path for MAME is truly the path it's located in? Is your MAME in a weird spot that needs administrator permission? Did you run a search and make sure you don't have GameEx installed in two places? Or MAME? We're just getting started, friend! I got tons of ideas. I'll do my best to get ya through this.
  9. I still need this also please.
  10. Ok, first things first. Turn this off: EnableTouchScreen=True Supply the theme.ini for your custom theme: theme=AP01MAME There's also this that sticks out: 17:27:22.33 6/6/2018: Attempting to load game list 17:27:23.28 6/6/2018: Not Restoring Emulator Database From Cache: 1000 Did you delete your cache files?
  11. This does that, unless it's broken for some reason...
  12. ^^ This. Maybe I show m age on this one, but that system got some play in my house. It would be cool to have, but I wouldn't spend more than $50 on it. I'm pretty sure my mom still has ours in storage and we had a slew of games for it too. I'll have to check.
  13. Happy birthday friend! Hope you do something extra special! Catch a movie? I hear Solo is out, kinda has your name all over it...
  14. In RE: to this topic title: The US not givin' an eff-dash-dash-dash. Lol! I'll be sleeping at 6:30 AM and my DVR can't record aenemas. It's a setting. Har har!!
  15. If it's a plugin issue, I had the same problem with one of mine for GameEx that did a fair bit of drawing to the secondary monitor and the solution turned out to be garbage collection. That's really more of a hint for whomever developed those plugins, not for you. The timing is really more discerning, I could run mine for a couple three days without any issue, but I also only used two monitors.
  16. FBA has been a nice addition to the cheevos system indeed. You get that rolling yet @hansolo77? I'm hoping Moo Mesa, X-Men and TMNT wind up on the achievement list sooner rather than later, although Metal Slug and Cadillacs and Dinosaurs have been a good distraction. That list of arcade games gets to be a PITA to maintain though, which is the whole reason I haven't put MAME on it yet. It's not like the cabinet where I don't mind having a full set, I like a leaner, meaner game list on the Pi. I also noticed over at RetroAchievements that the first DS game set is being developed. That'll be a nice, welcome addition too! RetroArch has completely changed the game for that project. Love it!! Now if they would just take the time to pretty up the notification!!
  17. I wish I had enough friends to necessitate a purchase of two controllers.
  18. That actually looks pretty reasonable, canakits hit right around that price point. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BC567TW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_lK4-Ab249FMXW Truth be told, you'll probably keep the Pi board and the PSU, and buy a cooler case and better SD card... You can probably get those components separate for less. You aren't likely to use the breadboard or the LEDs or any of that other stuff.
  19. Excellent! I just found out two weeks ago that this is less than a mile from where I work for the Wisco kids: http://www.geeksmania.com
  20. Seems legit! Thanks for the tip @tthurman!
  21. Remember how they teased cabinet support and it never came? Well I just got the newsletter and it's been released... As a $149 add-on. Only until June 30th though. Fuggin' savages. https://www.arcoodapinballarcade.com I will be getting the last pack before the time runs out to complete my set, and it's still a great sim. This whole thing bummed me out and the $150 cost of cabinet support is like a slap in the face. Iget it though, 20 months in development and now they have a little over 45 days to recoup their costs. I'm sure it would have been much more reasonable if they were working a long term solution. I'm sure it's not fully ready even.
  22. It's funny how the developers here forget to plug each other's work. Lol I've gotta try this thing out @stigzler. It's a pretty nice bit of code, and there's lots of times I wish I had this feature on my rig.
