  1. That's funny... I've been running GameEx for over a year on two different OSs on three machines... I've never had a problem with the sound engine. I am using MAME 0.115 though. All the crap that's happening to MAME is making me not want to upgrade!
  2. Looks good so far Katuuuz!

Stu: It's super easy to rename your ROM sets. Just scan them and rename them using the -rename -inplace command line option from GoodXXX.exe - I scanned my NoIntro sets on my laptop and re-scanned them for GoodName from there. That's what all my snaps and AVIs are in anyway, since as you stated the GoodName format is more common. That way I get the full USA NoIntro set with goodname formatted file names. Hide the bracketed text in GameEx and you have ne nice clean list there. Everyone wins. Of course, I have GoodMerge on the cab, but that's a whole other thing anyway and the DB doesn't always work on GoodMerge sets. So what can ya do? *shrug*

Damn you guys! these are really great! I have to run a scan to change my USA only sets on my laptop to GoodName format (assuming that's what the DB sees them as...), but from what I've seen these are simply awesome! I hope Tom takes notice and adds them into the install! Awesome work guys! I'm REALLY excited about the GBA and the PSP databases... However I have a question... I know that PSP .cso and .iso files are not in GoodName format, so how does the database recognize these games? Also, what's the naming format for PSX games? Just curious... Too bad we can't use a system like clrMAMEpro uses to scan CRCs and headers and such to match up the games... PS: What do you mean TRASH 80? I grew up on a TRS-80 with a daisy wheel printer and a double door floopy drive. I wish I still had all my floopies... I'd be playing Phantom and Demon Seed right now if I did! :S
  5. Sadly, that request has been on the list for some time. Sorry, but it is not possible.

If he ever gets to the Genesis DB you should replace that for sure. I don't care for the opinions on each game, just the read from the back of the box. These DBs are nice and clean. and I'm always up for new features if there's new tables on the MDB to add in, not to mention it would be nice and uniform throughout the whole GameEx experience... Just an opinion. I'd love to help you guys, but I can't get the wrapper to work in Vista. Otherwise I'd be happy to tackle SNES, Genesis, GBA and NES (great to see the Sony PS1 in progress!!). Sorry. I must say though, the TG16 DB is much improved and so is the SMS DB. Great work!
  7. There's already a snap window in NextGen (I'm pretty sure), and all the others I'm aware of. If you have these snaps, they need to follow this criteria: All snaps must have the same name as the ROM. They must be in AVI, JPEG or PNG format. They must be uncompressed or unzipped GameEx must have the snap path under the individual emulator's setup. If your snaps don't meet this criteria, they won't show. Hope that helps!
  8. Not that I'm aware of, no.
  9. Yes it is.
  10. Let me download a manual from somewhere and try this out. I have them working on my cab but I'm a version behind there. This may or may not be a bug, and I can't be sure without testing myself. PS - The manual name and the ROM name are exactly the same, right?
  11. Midget: I would say that you ougt to start a new thread since this one is more for the manual viewer problems Stigt is having. Your issues seem to be more to the Control Panel Viewer which are two seperate things.
  12. I just got an external 1.5 TB drive and it cost me about 450 USD. I coulda got 3 500 GB drives for about 50-60 USD less, so I feel a little cheated. It works awesome, but I wish I would have waited for the price to drop some... Just my two cents. Link
  13. Yes, it is possible to install the plugin that way. Just try and reinstall it and see if it works. Keep us posted on your results!
  14. If you enabled the Config App in Enable/Disable Features, I'm not sure why you can't select it. It should just be there... It is for me anyways. Weather is under HTML Apps actually. And now that you mention it, I believe you can disable (or enable) this from the HTML Applications tab in the Advanced Configuration. Hope that helps!
  15. Thanks everyone... You're all too kind. If you guys need me for anything, you know where to find me.
  16. As long as there's no ROMs included, I see no problem with uploading the emulator. Hope that helps!
  17. Sorry Friend, I just make my own. You might google MAME Intro Videos and perhaps you'll come up with something. If that doesn't work, you can always make your own with the Create MAME Videos program supplied with GameEx.
  18. Add Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and Vice City to that list. I have both up and running without need of a keyboard. For keyboard enabled cabs, Boggle Supreme and Scrabble from Game House all work great... At least on my PC since I don't have a pull-out keyboard shelf on the cab.
  19. Damn. I just deleted my MagicEngine emulator and roms because of this same issue. I assumed that MagicEngine just wasn't compatible with Windows Vista. Curiously all my other emulators seemed to be functioning properly. I'll have to try this again when I get back home... Unless MagicEngine really isn't working with GameEx for some unknown reason.
  20. I can't seem to access the GameExtender Live! page on the website... Is it down? I tried from two different locations.
  21. Try using LingPanda's Street Fighter theme. It's created for your resolution. You can find it here 3/4s of the way down the screen. That might help some.
  22. Katuuz: Are you using a version 1 theme or a version 2 theme to start with?
  23. Not sure about the font size, but you can move the info box by clicking the little padlock icon on the theme editor. Many layers are locked and you will need to do this to move them. My Theme Editor skills haven't been called upon in a while, so if you need additional assistance you may want to try to ask Headkaze or Amos82. Either one would be better suited to help than I am at the present time. Hope that helps!
  24. That's the option for the status bar that comes up when you're selecting an emulator... You know, when it builds the game list? I though there was an option to 'Disable Loading Screen' ... Hold on. I'll see if I can find it quick. .:EDIT:. Enable Disable Features -> 3rd Page -> Show Loading Screen -> Yes That ought to do the trick.
  25. Robert: Did some googling and I think I found something that may help. However, there may be a problem as well... AutoScreenRecorder is a freeware program that can make AVIs out of your applications. There's supposedly a way to disable the mouse from being recorded as well. This should most likely be fine for creating your AVI previews. Now the problem I mentioned earlier: Unless you set up your PC games as an emulator, there's no way to add AVI Preview support. If you do have your PC games set up as an emulator, make sure you name the AVI preview the same as you named the shortcut. Hope that helps ya...
