Don't worry... I am currently working on a full emulators section for the site that will have updates, instructions, tweaks, artwork, and such. I was more or less just commenting that my portal idea (that I spent a good three months on) was a flop and you mastered it in a couple weeks (I know how much detail and tableid and DB work you had to do and I'm impressed to say the least! Your a master of your trade my man!!). ConfigHQ is my school web building project so it's not going anywhere anytime soon, I got a grade riding on it! I'd love to help maintain your site and I'll certainly do anything I can to make it the best interactive site out there, although I don't know if I'd really be that much help. It would be nice to learn a thing or three from you guys... My only suggestion so far: When opening the Themes site from your page, perhaps have it open a new window (_blank) so users won't end up leaving the portal system to look at Night's site.

All the ZiNc wrappers and support files Nologic created are over at ConfigHQ. Perhaps that will help.

Looks like it's time for CHQ to retire... After all, I don't have anything there that you don't have here at the GameEx new & improved home page (which looks fabulous btw!). Crazy that I was working on the same principal using phpbb as a portal system but it kept getting more and more over my head. It really does look professional. Great job! PS: Sad to see my M series of MAME logos didn't make it up...

Crazy! I love the new GameEx site. I was totally working on a portal system for ConfigHQ (remember the big change I was talking about?) but it appears you beat me to it... Looks about 1000% better than mine was turning out to be. I'm down to help, but like my friend Mr. Hoffman, I don't really know much about wikis.

Just make sure you make an empty bezels folder to point GameEx at... Otherwise it will overwrite your official bezels.

Not a report, but a suggestion: On the AutoUpdate screen, wouldn't it look a little nicer if the progress bar was on the bottom and didn't block the gfx? Maybe that's merely an opinion.

That was more of an accident really... After I realized I changed your whole post it was already too late. I apologize. When it comes to Nintendo, they get pissed about everything. Best to be safe. Nintendo is notorious for making a big deal out of nothing. As far as MUGEN goes, the ripped sprites ARE illegal, most game programmers and copyright holders look the other way on them though... But I would have removed a torrent link to mugen just as quickly. This is the GameEx forum above all else and I don't see a need to even take that risk. There's no grey area there. Nothing personal, just a little damage control.

Yes. Each emulator emulates the machine itself. It's not like a cartridge based system.

I actually use game & watch emulators. I had a few when I was a kid. Google it and you'll see most Game & Watch games are in fact emulated. I've kept up on the lot of them over at ConfigHQ... If I'm missing any let me know but I think they're all there... Even got themes current AFAIK. If you need anything I probably have it somewhere.

Hey all! I'm just about to update my MAME ROMs. For the newest 0.117 ROM set do I need CHD files for the cps3 ROMs to function? I really really wanna play SFIII and Warzard!!!

If I had to advise, I'd say make sure you delete all the things in the GameEx folder that end in .exe (except Joy2Key and what you have added after install) and reinstall GameEx. Could be an old exe that's been around since before Framework 2.0 was solely incorperated into GameEx. I think that was around February of this year. If your install is older than that this may be your problem too.

Isn't the cps3.c driver set as not working/imperfect in MAME since it relies on hacking the driver? Thought I read that somewhere.
