  1. I'll help you Brian.... I got a week's vacation this week. We could work on that together and it will most likely lighten your load some.
  2. pSX is hands down the easiest to use IMHO.
  3. Why not just use clrMAMEpro? That will tell you exactly which ROM sets need to be changed via a TXT list. You can simply just grab whichever ROMs it says you're missing and you can 'thumb drive' those over. Of course, the PD people make it pretty easy too, like someone mentioned earlier.
  4. @ Jay & Nologic: It's less about giving up my Moderator rights, it's just that since I don't spend as much time here as I should and I feel others can do a better job. I'd love to camp on the mod title, I just feel it's a mod's job to make sure everything's running smoothly and since I haven't been here but once or twice a week there's more deserving people who would love the position. I just hate feeling like I'd be letting you all down is all... Especially Tom. Ya dig? He works so hard, and he deserves a mod who will be there alot. He's busy enough, you know? @BK: To be honest I haven't worked on the site for months either. I was working on some portal type script and I just kind of quit. I certainly won't take it down, I just can't promise an update in the immediate future. @Brian: Haha! Well, I have been working on an emulator for the PSP (or trying to re-port one), but it's really for the coding and assembly practice for school. To be perfectly honest, I haven't had much time for that either. I just feel a little too much is on my plate lately... My coding classes are MUCH more involved and difficult than I thought. Then my two six year old boys on top of that... Real life is just way too hard!
  5. Hello everyone! I just wanted to let you guys know that as of today, I will be stepping down as moderator so someone more qualified can fill the position. I have a ton going on with school and work, and my personal life is getting very hectic. I just can't spread myself thin enough anymore to do all the things I need to, including moderating this forum. I love this community however, and I will continue to stop in and see what's up from time to time. It's my opinion that people like Nologic, Han, J Thompson, Amos, bknobi, kenclops, michael, and several others contribute to and visit this forum on a regular basis - They would most likely better serve the position. Besides, this is the best emulation community I have ever served on hands down, and it really governs itself. None the less, I don't feel I'm giving the forum the time it deserves. Therefore, I'll have to open a new position for someone a little more suited to the job. To each and every one of you that makes the GameEx forum what it is: Thanks for all you have done for me, and I hope I was able to give some back to all you lovely people! I'll still be around... Adultery
  6. Hi all! I read somewhere in here that NDS is emulated... I have a full US NDS ROM set and I was wondering which was best... NO$GBA, iDeaS or DeSmuME? Of course I'm talking in terms of compatability and playability. Thanks for your input!
  7. I will post this tomorrow evening as I am not home until then. Hopefully you can get it set up and then just unzip the AI script and you'll be set.
  8. Nope, this was definately pulled. If he's okay with it, I can maybe post it here for you... I think I got it at home on the cab.
  9. Vectrex Intellevision PSP Atari 5200 Game & Watch Just to name a few you missed.
  10. Great idea Amos! I usually just play randoms online, but I'll add more games as I find them worthy of purchasing. Platform: PS3 Tag: Adultery Games: Tiger Woods 2007 Tiger Woods 2008 Madden 2008 Super Puzzle Fighter HD Remix* Mortal Kombat II* Vegas Strip Poker* *=downloaded from PSN I also have Ninja Gaiden Sigma but I haven't attempted to play online yet.
  11. I'd rather have the slim for the double RAM and double Flash... But you can't do much for homebrew right now. But hey, it just came out last week! Just give it some time and m33 will figure out the whole 1.5 kernel thing!
  12. I just downloaded HoffMAME (Sexual Chocolate Edition) and I must say it's pretty darn great! My friends will love this and not even know. Plus having the patch applied makes me look like one of them 733t people I keep hearing about! Heh! Thanks Brian. Hope you plan to carry this out in the future for all us lucky GameExers! @HK: There's no U in color, and there's no I in Australia. Heh heh!
  13. I thought that a very large majority of DC games have already been converted to self boot? I've never had to use Utopia to play any burned image on my DC, and I still use mine at least once a week. I have tested this with at least 100 different games...
  14. ...What? You want to mount an ISO? Is that the question? If so I use Alcohol 120 or Daemons Tools for that purpose.
  15. Not to state the obvious but... PS2 controllers are quite possibly the best controllers ever created. After countless hours of gameplay, I will swear by that! They feel great, they last a good long time, and they're easy to set up... Not to mention they're inexpensive. Have a look at the Super Joybox 5 Pro, you can hook up four PS2 controllers using only one USB port.
  16. Hey all! I moved your posts without specific setups to this thread instead to keep things nice and tidy since the topic was stickied. Thanks to everyone for understanding!
  17. HK: On MAME 108u1, I can't get the game to pause when I pull up the viewer. Also, is there a way to change the buttons around to use the F-keys or is that out since MAME uses them too? I guess I was hoping CPWizard would pause MAME and ignore all commands until the wizard is minimized... Maybe I have a setting wrong or something. But there seems to be a keystroke sent to MAME as well as CPWizard. I would also like to use a PS2 pad image for the CPViewer on my PC since the image is set up to handle the default CP, and manually moving all the buttons is bothersome. Maybe I missed the point of the extra pictures you included in the install? I'm simply toying around with it right now so I wouldn't say I've mastered this. Heh! It took me a little while to figure out I had to disable Tom's control panel before launching yours. Lastly, is there a better way to 'shell' this? I mean, can it be setup to launch and terminate within GameEx? Otherwise it seems I lose some button functionality on my keyboard when running other things after GameEx is closed. Maybe this can be programmed as a plugin instead of an 'always on' app? Thanks for a cool program and I can't wait to see it evolve!
  18. I only wish I wasn't so addicted to my PSP/M33 Firmware at the moment... I feel like I've been away from my extended family for a long time. That, ladies (if there are any around here) and (most likely) gentlemen, is why I am PROUD to be a moderator of the most awesome forum I have ever been a member of! Ever! It's a great honor to be part of what I feel is the most revolutionary piece of software I've ever paid for in my life! The forum is okay, but it's really you guys who make it such a pleasure to visit. Give yourselves a round of applause! Sadly, I spend more time playing with GameEx and answering questions about it then I do actually playing games with it! Ha! As for Heretic's ID3 tagging: Have you tried using Media Monkey? It's free and it was a god send to tag my 180 gigs of mp3's for Media Center and GameEx. The learning curve seems steep at first but it's easy once you get your hands dirty.
  19. *have a license but* This is the best forum because Tom goes out of his way to give those less fortunate (or less paypal savy) a GameEx license! When's the last time you got free software from Microsoft or were able to directly ask Bill Gates a question?
  20. This build was crashing my system everytime I selected an emulator. I was writing this very post when the update dropped. The problem up and disappeared! That's service! Just another good reason to turn auto-reporting on! Great job Tom!
  21. V3 themes sound pretty awesome, but having a large collection I have to vote for the search.
  22. I like SpyDIRman's idea of posting what everyone's using. Besides the fact that it will be a good reference tool, people can come to the forum and see what everyone is using and ask the appropriate forum member for help. This will hopefully streamline the process and make our forum a little more user-friendly. 23. Very nice work Circo! I've been on your site a few times before... I didn't realize you were here on the GameEx forum! Love your snaps! Perfect loops for your video snaps are awesome! You really do a nice job and I'm sure it's a lot of work! Awesome! This community gets better every single day.
  24. Crazy thing here, I can get PT to open and (kinda) run in my XP machine. However, Vista won't run well (if even at all). This is outside of GameEx of course. I don't know if the problem is in the EMU or the wrapper? PS: UAC is disabled on my Vista machine.
  25. Happy birthday GameEx! Here's to you Tom and your unparalleled dedication! Hip hip HORRAY!
