  1. Hey hey hey! Looks like we're all groovin! I had to make a few slight changes but I suspect this was the case before the update. I haven't looked at my favorites for a few weeks. I'll be tinkering with tweaks now. I'm impressed as I usually am. Great work Tom! .:EDIT:. I love the new GameExtender content! .:EDIT 2:. -Fixed...Theme Related-
  2. I was extremely happy to see my cab auto update itself for the first time in... forever! Great job Tom!
  3. Run your GameEx Setup Wizard, select Input Options. Enable All Attached Devices should be set to yes. You can map the keys from there.
  4. ...if that is the case, I assume you have the parent ROM sets instead of just clones... 300 sounds awfully low to me when there's 6000 or 7000... Also, it occured to me that maybe you have an old ROM set and an updated version of MAME that either made changes to or rebuilt entirely... Also, could some of them require CHDs? Do you have Verify ROMs turned on in GameEx Advanced MAME Settings? Are you absolutely SURE you're not trying to run clones? Have you verified with clrMAMEpro? What version of MAME are you using? I doubt this is a GameEx related issue.
  5. Tom: I'm cool with using MDB (Access 2007), so I can go either way on this. My favorites need some help anyways.
  6. Ouch... Progress.
  7. Is your KEGA INI file set up to launch in fullscreen? Try it with the desktop on and see if it works. You can also try removing the system argument (-gen or -sms or -gg or what ever you use) and see if that helps.
  8. We talking about KEGA Fusion? I can help with that! GENS+? Not so much.
  9. I love this idea! If you could get it to work with an LED (like a two digit counter) I'd be all about this! Does it work for emulators as well? *I'm sick of my friends hanging out all the time and drinking up all my beer (not to mention puffin my... Um... Nevermind!) This is a great way to recoup some of the cost.
  10. I'm pretty sure it's bak.png actually.
  11. I think the changes have something to do with Savestates themselves. The MAME team doesn't encourage use of savestates unless they are used for testing, and functionality is often changed from version to version, and drivers are often updated. In other words, this feature comes and goes. There is a command line argument to launch savestates, and that's what makes the function operate in MAME32. so you'll need to add it into the Advanced MAME Configuration section of GameEx. From the MAME readme: Hope that helps!
  12. GameEx doesn't work well on a secondary monitor. Add the -numscreens 2 command line switch to make MAME render to two monitors.
  13. Yes...

If you're trying to change the emulator logo, it has to go in the theme folder. C:\Program Files\GameEx\Themes\Media Then point GameEx at it by typing the name of the pic in the Logo section of advanced config.
  15. Wonder why my last post didn't bump this up? Oh bother...
  16. @Tal: ZSNES needs to be configured through the GUI for fullscreen. NEStopia has a command line switch: -fullscreen. Most other emulators can be configured for fullscreen through the INI or CFG file. If none of the previously mentioned methods work, simply open the emulator outside of GameEx, maximize the window, and close the emulator. If you need help with a specific EMU, ask and ye shall recieve. Hope that helps!
  17. No NDS GoodTools, sorry. Visit the Extras page of the GameEx web site for a link to the screenshot archive.
  18. Haha! My son would be licking the computer screen. Not such a good idea.
  19. Well... That and sex. Lots and lots of it.
  20. Sounds to me as if you haven't figured out the Parent/Clone set relationship yet. In addition to the BIOS, you need the parent ROM set if you intend to play a clone. Example: tmnt2.zip is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles parent ROM set. tmnt2b.zip is a clone. In order to run tmnt2b.zip you also need to have tmnt2.zip Does that make sense?
  21. Just to name a few... All PC10, NSS, etc. games do. X-Men has a version that does, Tecmo Bowl does... I can't tell you all of them off top of my head.
  22. As I stated in the other thread, you should definately re-register. I don't know Tom's personal take on this, but I'm pretty sure he would agree. Perhaps one could work out a deal for a seperate license for another PC. I have a laptop as well, and I use that to test and set up new features before they make it over to the arcade PC. As stated previously, I had anticipated this would be the case and I donated an extra $15 when I acquired the license to help recoup some of the cost. Again, you'd probably want to email Tom and ask him personally.
  23. Me also, but I anticipated this and donated $40 instead of $25. I feel that you should be sure to pay for each computer you use this on, but there may or may not be a special exception for someone who's merely using one to test and the other to play. Not sure how Tom feels about this...
  24. You can make MAME run on both screens by adding the command line argument in Advanced MAME Settings: -numsceens 2 This will use both monitors instead of your primary or secondary individually. Great for games that use two monitors in the cabinet originally.
  25. Hope you all you USA users got your taxes done so Uncle Sam can dig even deeper into your pockets!!!
