  1. I cannot confirm this unfortunately... I use the same OS as you and I am not experiencing this problem. I will try and view a MAME manual, but I don't think it makes much difference. I'll get back to you on my results.
  2. You can play these fine in WMP?
  3. Hi! Did you do a minimal Windows install? It sounds like you didn't install the DB app when you installed Windows...
  4. You get what you pay for out there. I've never seen a program that does what GameEx does and after using this for two weeks and seeing what it can do I decided it was worth the donation. I'm sure others will too! For about $25 USD you get a program that keeps giving back with new versions coming out all the time... Not to mention the best support I have ever seen for any piece of software! I could have bought a pizza for that - and it would have been gone in 15 minutes.

    Happy 4th!

To all you Americans getting drunk and playing with fire tonite... Happy 4th of July!
  7. 03:16:00.7 7/2/2007: Validating: Emulator_2: Custom Background: 03:16:00.7 7/2/2007: Validating: Emulator_2: Snap Path: For me, these both show the snap path for some reason in my log... I thought I was maybe on to something there. Can you try using another theme? Valhalla maybe? See if the same problems persist.
  8. Hey. Headkaze posted a tutorial on making videos in Premiere Pro... Perhaps that will help you. link
  9. VT: I know this is going to sound crazy, but will you create yourself a SNAP path for emulator #2 and see if the background comes up for it? You can just make an empty folder and point GameEx at it. Just go with me on this one... I got a hunch. Of course, while you're doing that make sure you have set the custom background as well, save it and exit.
  10. I wanna see the photos for that! I'll make a GameEx theme for it!
  11. I did just that Nologic... Just pimped a wee little bit is all. Feel free to use this. I love PSD files!
  12. *gets Tweak a ladder to better reach Tom's butt* Heh heh!
  13. I only possess PSX ROMs on a play-by-play basis since they're HD hogs. Most of mine are on the CD, but I have about 50 or so ISOs... Mostly RPGs. Okay... Mostly Final Fantasy and a couple other RPGs. I wouldn't be much help to you I'm afraid... However, if anyone else has any screenshots, title screens, and/or jewel scans to share... I'd be happy to upload a ZIP to the ConfigHQ and post them for everyone. If you're interested in helping out, PM me with your email addy and we'll get hoppin on that.
  14. Haha! I'm a friggin Mod and I couldn't figure that out! Talk about slow! Heh! Thanks bknobi! Good lookin' out.
  15. I can't be positive without seeing your entire log, but it seems like a theme related error to me. That or a codec related one, but I'm leaning more to the theme. Try using GameEx's default theme and see if it works.
  16. I just take my own snaps, but if you need CD covers and disc scans and such check out this this link. I have found a lot of scans there and they have what I believe is the largest collection of scans for several systems. Hope that helps!

    project64 setup

Command Line: PROJECT64.EXE [ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE] This is your problem, trust me. You will note there are no quotes around [ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE] - that's essential. I'm using 1.7 and you need the quotes in for the new build, but all previous versions automatically add the quotes for you for some retarded reason. Just do it that way and I bet you're good. If not, make sure you have the option set to launch ROMs in full screen. It's under the Advanced Settings menu in PJ64.
  18. Indeed this is good news! Nice touch.
  19. I left it go about 12-15 minutes and there was no problems here.. I have AVI snaps for all my games so I don't know if that clouds up the results or not... The only glitch I noticed is theme related I think, but I'll post a snap for you anyways. I should also mention that the newest update came in before the test.... Hope that's helpful to you, and glad to see Vista making friends with GameEx.
  20. nVidia. I'm testing now but I update my drivers regularly so this may not be a problem here either. Give me a minute and I'll try to recreate this.
  21. Tom: I just want to make sure that I got the right post here. My Vista system displays the GameEx forum all screwy in FireFox and IE. I never understood why it does that and I'll post a screenshot so you can see what I mean... For whatever reason all I can see is the tree of responses and I can't go through page by page. Also if I click the last post by: link I get an error. This is a Vista exclusive problem since my XP SP2 machine at home does not do this. I instead get to view posts in succession and can easily click and go to last posts in threads. Anyhow, this is the post right? I'll start testing some of these, but I can't check the secondary display problem until I get home and hook up an extra monitor to the laptop. Otherwise I'll get on these right now and let you know what I find.
  22. What exactly does this feature do? I'm not sure I follow... I can copy an advanced config from, say, ZSNES and apply it to VirtuaNES? What's the benefit?
  23. First: You can make a MAME custom folder by following the steps here: link It's kinda easy. Just follow the steps and you should be alright. If you want to add games to the favorites list, you can just select 'Add to Favorites' from the game's sub menu. Second: If you have Hiscore.dat (located here) in your MAME root folder it should save OK. Some games didn't save high scores when they were originally fabricated, so this is the workaround. If that doesn't work, MAME has an official hiscore.dat located here that you can try. Most games after 1985 or so all save the hiscore data as nvram upon exiting the game. I hope that helps!

    Hey Tom

I love this forum! It's like we're a totally disfunctional family... We're all here for GameEx but each of us for a different reason. Liked the reply, and like most of you I have been into consoles from back in my Intellevision days and I have tried to stay ahead on gaming ever since... I got a PS3 as soon as I could because I get ill knowing there's some great new technology out that I don't have yet.... Even though I spent too much on one through Ebay. Crazy? Yes, probably. But games have always been my life... Right down to the Super MArio Bros back piece* I got a few years ago (that my girlfriend HATES!!!). Crazy to me is that I never really use the DVD or jukebox features (but it's nice to know they're there). I know I'm with you all on the fact that I spend more time tweaking and tinkering than playing... Although that will change once I have completed Project: AVI Snaps. That is... until the next feature is implimented in GameEx. Too bad I can't afford a LEDWiz setup... It's just too much money at this point in my already three year old cab project (which may never truly be finished anyway). Enough babble... Great work and keep it up Tom! You could start your own religion like L Ron Hubard. GameEx-ology? *For the ink illiterate: A back piece is a full back tattoo.
