  1. In MAME you need to use the command: numscreens 2 Don't know about GameEx short of running in Extended Desktop mode.
  2. Goldeneye is playable for me... Just played it with my son yesterday actually. I don't think I'm using a texture pack, but I know I'm using the latest released plugins. I hope that helps.
  3. I disagree. The 1.7 version plays way more games at near full speed.
  4. More fisably, you *could* just create a DB in MS Access that has your PC games in it, and maybe snag the game descriptions from GameSpot or Moby? Is that a workaround that could be explored? In a case like that, your naming conventions wouldn't matter since it's set up on a game-by-game basis. Or am I completely wrong about this?
  5. Can this be done in Premiere? If so, maybe Headkaze's your man.
  6. Damn it feels good to be a mod! Hehehe!
  7. Mercury's good with me (although at present it doesn't run on the emulator). Nintendo DS is another one I would seriously consider as No$GBA currently runs some commercial roms. See? I know you want more work! Hehehe!
  8. Mine's Valhalla until Flash's theme comes out.
  9. I envy you that yours works. I still can't get VPinMAME to show up over the top of the table! Are you using the latest dogfood build of Visual Pinball? If so, can you share it? I can't find it anywhere.
  10. Go Flash Go! I can't wait to deploy this theme! I sadly noticed there's no PSP backgrounds in the works? There's a good deal of homebrew that runs under the current emulator.
  11. Wow HK! These bezels look great! Damn you for being far superior to me in the Photoshop department! *heads back to DeviantArt for more brushes*
  12. In case anyone wants them, here's my custom MAME bezels. Extract both folders to the GameEx MEDIA directory, and make a copy of the bezel and paste it into the MEDIA directory overwriting the default one. Thanks to Headkaze who supplied the metallic logos used in these bezels.

So, I changed the bezel to read-only (since GameEx was overwriting my custom bezel). Is this going to be a problem on the next update?

    GameEx 9.54

Just curious if anything has changed in this version? I couldn't find any release notes for it.
  15. Um yeah, I tried that already. /me = not a noob...
  16. No one is willing to help me out? I can't be the only one with Visual Pinball on my cab...
  17. Perhaps you have a setting wrong somewhere... Make sure you haven't inadvertently disabled sound for MAME games in either the command line or an advanced MAME setting?
  18. Yes I'm sure. My config is nearly identical and still no joy. All the important notes you made are set the same way, and I'm still no closer than when I started. I'll jump on the cab and post my config. EDIT: I have JoyToKey in the Launch Before line, so that's about the only difference I can see.
  19. Unfortunately, that's just what my config looks like (I imported it from the existing configs and changed VPinball-XPFix6.exe to VPinball.exe) so that rules that out.
  20. First off... You shouldn't be having a problem with ZSNES having to show the desktop if it's configured to run properly. I use VirtuaNES for my NES needs so I won't be much help on JNES. I'd like to have a look at your config file, maybe we can solve these problems. My guess is that you didn't set these emus to run in full screen from the emulator INIs, as that usually solves the 'show desktop' issues. Typically I use the emulator's GUIs to do this prior to running them in GameEx. That way you can map your controllers, set your paths and resolutions, etc prior to any GameEx intervention.
  21. Hi. When I launch Visual Pinball, vPinMAME doesn't come up with it. All I can see is the table, and I can't seem to play it. If I launch the table without GameEx, it works fine. In GameEx, I can't even see the LED... It's as if vPinMAME never existed for whatever reason. It almost seems like vPinMame isn't loading at all even though it's supposed to! I'm getting really frustrated because I know I've had this working before!!! Well, before the reformat anyhow... Anyone care to help me out?
  22. My Jaguar emu is proof of that ^^
  23. I said it before and I'll say it again... Isn't British Humor an oxymoron?
  24. 1) Just delete the GameEx file that stores this info and rebuild anew. 2) There's an option to turn this feature on and off in Advanced Config I believe. 3)No, but I think that would be awesome! If only it were possible using info from that new DB that Flash and Kaze are working on.
  25. I use the official DivX codec and this doesn't happen... :/ I don't know where that info came from but it's silly! The DivX codec works just fine.
