  1. Seeing the results doesn't make me feel so damn old...
  2. Not sure what happeed, but now the snaps and videos for my emulators don't show up at all. MAME vids still work great. Maybe something is wrong on my end? No idea what happened. I have FFDShow installed.
  3. Hmm... You try using one of the bezels that HK or I posted in the Themes and Media thread and see if that works? You may have to delete the zip files that GameEx creates with the artwork in them also. I can up mine if you want to try them and see if they work.
  4. A reboot did the trick (shoulda just did that first anyway) but thanks for looking into it for me. Glad to have GameEx back!
  5. Not that I'm aware of... I'll try and reboot and see what happens from there. Only thing I can think of is I added two SF IV joysticks and a new 27" LCD monitor, but it worked since then so I don't know.
  6. Sure Tom. Here ya go. By the way, I can only get GameEx to exit if I CTRL+ALT+DEL on the keyboard (if that's connected or not I don't know).
  7. I love my MadCatz tournament stick. Works just like I had hoped it would! Almost makes my PC feel like a cabinet. If they didn't cost so damn much I would have gotten two and inset them into my desk somehow... Ahh well. Liked the link too BTW.
  8. Started having issues with GameEx starting last build... I have a hunch it has something to do with HideOS since all I get on launch is a black screen. I'm gonna install this manually and see what happens. .:EDIT:. It seems that I can't get the GameEx menu to come up after the opening splash screen, but if I leave it go on the black screen where the menu should be, the Attract Mode still seems to be booting up games just fine. Maybe it has something to do with HideOS, maybe not... I'm using Flash's RetroBox theme and it's always been fine before. *puzzled*
  9. This issue happens with all your emulators? Can you use the stick in the GameEx menu? By fighting it to exit, you mean the keyboard doesn't work either? Perhaps you might want to post the log file when this happens? I don't use an IPAC so I'm taking a few shots in the dark here. PS: Don't continue to double post or self-bump your threads. We generally frown on that here. If you need to add something to a post, use the EDIT button instead.
  10. Does it not show in your computer's control panel under joysticks?
  11. #1 - Do you feel that EmuMovies.com is a worthwhile service to the community? Absolutely! With this and the new games database, there really are great resources out there. And for support, I don't mind throwing down the cash for a worthwhile cause! #2 - Do you feel that this site/project can justify a $20-$25 per year subscription fee for secure/fast direct downloads? Absolutely again... But would I use it enough to justify a yearly fee? You better bet I would! #3 - Would you recommend EmuMovies.com to a friend? Have, and will continue to do so. Was actually referred by Headkaze in the first place! #4 - Should we close up FTP sign-ups and just stay where we are? Progress is nothing to be scared of my friend. A good thing always gets better with time... Not to mention more members bring more content provided we can still contribute! Just my 2 cents.
  12. Looks like its really coming along! Great work... This is a much needed resource IMHO.
  13. Use the list filters in GameEx advanced MAME setup?
  14. Wow, never thought I'd see the day... But now I won't use it! Thanks Tom! Appreciate the hard work that goes into this awesome program! All hail the chief!
  15. Hmm... I seem to recall that the GameEx proggy uses something else as its MAME background. Let me have a quick look at the cab and see if I can find it. Ahh yes... It was Bak.png for the MAME background. Hope that helps!
  16. Fluorescent paint? Or fluorescent stickers with a blacklight bulb behind them? It could work, no?
  17. You can make a send keys option in GameEx to make it send CTRL+F after a few seconds every time the emu launches.
  18. Just use a picture with your text labels and make sure the black is Absolute Black. These are made as icons I'm pretty sure, not just text tabs.
  19. Well, you can make a custom MAME list like they do for Custom Folders in MAME32, but you'll have to add your games manually to that list. Then if you point it at the folders properly, GameEx will create a custom category for the folders you made. Other than that, no. If you do decide to do that, then you just create a txt file with your games in it and put it in the Custom Lists folder you have GameEx pointed at. It's kinda difficult, but it can be done - specifically if you know the rom name of the file you want to use. Downside is that this is only for MAME, it doesn't work for other emulators.
  20. I did once. I re-downloaded and installed GameEx through the site instead of the auto update and the problem went away. Try it out!
  21. Seems to have done the trick. Now, why did my SNES list disappear? I know the path settings are correct, since I just used the SNES emu today... I'll try changing rom paths and see if that helps. Still crazy that the emulator's rom set just disappeared... .:EDIT:. Okay, I tried my .zip list instead and it works. I'll try and go back to my 7z set now and see if it finds my ROMs again. .:EDIT #2:. Okay, now they're back again. That's unusual, but as longt as it works I guess we're okay then. Thanks.
  22. Okay, I have disabled Game Extender publisher, now for some reason GameEx can't find my SNES games. Curious... I turned it back on and it still can't find my SNES games. All other emulators seem to be working just fine. That's crazy, huh?
  23. Tom: Okay, I will try turning this off and see if that repeats. Just a second.
  24. Well, it's still doing it. I started up GameEx and it started opening lists again. I didn't move the cursor at all, but it started pulling up lists on its own. I didn't see anything unusual in the log but I will post it anyway so you can have a look.
