  1. This theme is coming along rather nicely! The res is a video card killer though! That won't stop me from downloading it once it's complete... These new overlays really give the Cab PC a professional touch! I'm nearly urinating myself to get this on my system flash! Any ETA on a finish time?
  2. That did the trick! Thanks again Chriss! You da man!
  3. When I try to exit a MAME ROM in MAME Plus! it brings up a screen to confirm the action. Is there any way to bypass this? Thanks!
  4. I've got plenty of interest on this project over at Blackcats, so I'd be interested in hearing if this project is still alive.
  5. I just did a fresh install, and I have an EmuMovies membership... I installed the FFDShow installer on the GameEx downloads page, and all works just great. As a matter of fact, the preview vids I made in Divx also work great using FFDShow. I think the build you need is an older build tho, as the newer builds don't work well for various reasons. You really shouldn't have a problem using the older build... Even on a high end machine. I use the official Divx codec instead of FFDShow on my Vista machine, and it also works like a charm.
  6. Hi. You have ZiNc set up as an emulator or to run native with MAME? If its the latter, it should just show the ROMs that work if you have verify sets turned on. I have ZiNc running semi-smoothly using a loader, since the way it handles CHD ROMs leaves a bit to be desired. Also, CHD games don't work with Winterblast's plugin.
  7. Hi. You know you need to set up the individual emulator first and then put each emulator into a group, right? A quick example: I have all the pSX games that require a DualShock set up as the #11 emulator, and all the games that don't as #12. Then I use the 'Groups' feature to list all the games in Emulator #11 and #12 as one tidy list: Group 1 - Psx Games.
  8. Well, I reformatted my PC. We'll see if this makes any difference. The zinc loader I have parses the gamelist to GameEx, so that can't be the problem. The only other thing I can think of being the culprit is Avast AVS, so I'll try and install that after I install GameEx. Otherwise, I can't determine the issue here, and frankly it's driving me gonzo! .:EDIT:. Well, as it turns out there must have been a problem with my MAME build. I updated to 0.127 and re-compiled it (using HK's MAME compiler... Props for a very useful app!) and set it up to utilize my CPU, now I have no problems. And to think I re-formatted! *sigh*
  9. It shouldn't matter... I turned off verify and also disabled ZiNc. Let me try again quick. Still no joy.
  10. That didn't help. I disabled zinc but I don't think that was the problem. When I installed my OS, it installed on drive 'I' instead of 'C'... Maybe that has something to do with it? *grrr @ having to reformat again...*
  11. Hi! Need some help. Was re-installing GameEx and I hit a snag. For some reason GameEx doesn't display any games after updating the list. I know all my paths are correct... Here's the log file. Am I just missing something easy? I know there's friggin roms in that folder!

    psx1.8

Personally, I just put games in groups according to how they use the controller. Then I specify the command line to launch the different command line options in the emulator's config. Then I use GameEx's 'gtoups' feature to put all those PS1 games in a handy list. Kind of a roundabout, but it works great!

Just to add... I use CDZ files and they do work thru the command line.
  14. So the theme editor has been updated to support version 4 themes also?
  15. MAME diff files: MAME doesn't alter the original chd file, but creates a diff file with the written data (sectorwise). If the game seeks to a sector, MAME redirects the loading to the diff file. In other words, you need both AFAIK. At least, you need the CHD's to create the diff file, and then you may be able to safely remove them from your HDD. Also, I'm fairly certain that the list your getting is in the catlist file. It should be a list of games that were added to each version of MAME if you were to view it in MAME32. Since GameEx reads these files a little differently, this 'gunks up' the works as far as some custom folders go.
  16. Alright... Working on the GameBoy Advance right now. Let's see how this pig flies.
  17. Where can I get the DB tool? Do I need to PM Headkaze?
  18. I thought of that, but that would mean sacrificing my manuals for one, and I can't pull them up in-game for two.
  19. Like I'm gonna rush you into putting me to work! Haha!
  20. If you manage to get that FAQ off the ground, I'd be willing to help.
  21. I would like to start downloading some FAQs for various games. Is there a way to link them up in the game launch screen, and also maybe pull it up in-game? If so, I must have missed it. If not, there should be!
  22. And where can I get this bat file? I'm a total noob to such things.
  23. I was hoping to avoid Daemons tools since I already had a virtual drive on the cab. Like some type of batch file that would load the game up so it would be there already... My Alcohol 120% came with a virtual drive... Or maybe it was UltraISO...
  24. It works just fine. What I need is to get the image to actually load into the virtual DVD drive as I don't want to do a full install. I can play just fine from the DVD, just want to eliminate the user interaction. I can manually load the image, but I was looking for a way to do this without having to, you know, do it myself everytime I want to play...
  25. Hey everyone! I'm sure it's simple, but can someone help me figure out how to load an image into an existing virtual DVD drive? I just got Mass Effect from Wal*Mart, and I want to archive it and put it on my cab so I won't need to put the CD in everytime. I probably need a batch file or something, but I'm clueless on such things. Any help is appreciated.
