  1. Don't worry one little bit. We love it when members get the most out of GameEx! Ask as many questions as you like. There's no limit here friend! Soon enough you'll know even more than the regulars do!
  2. If you have video snaps that's the problem. You will need to put pic snaps in the same folder with your video snaps.
  3. I wonder if a button is being hit somewhere?
  4. I'll confirm this. I use the offline installer all the time.
  5. Merry Christmas to all, and I hope your relatives don't piss you off too bad! We'll be in my basement playing pool and GameEx all day while the women cook! How awesome huh? Mike aka Adultery *Following Draco's lead on this one!
  6. Thanks for the update Tom, and Merry Christmas to you!
  7. He should update the installer size too then. It's about 10 MB bigger than it says.
  8. Great news! Proud to know you're now our e-neighbor!
  9. Ahh yes I forgot. You'll need the table ROMs for these!
  10. Yeah it's gotta be done in the theme editor. Or you can disable them in the advanced config. I'm actually working on Sega CD, and I'd be happy to add the others too if you would advise me as to artwork for the systems you wanted.
  11. Your script error message is due to a table being created for a different version of vp. You can use Tom's vploader to skip the disclaimer and the exit confirmation too. That app goes into 'also launch' and your vpinball.exe goes into the command line box. Gameex will display tables the same way it does for emulator roms. I use joysticks on my cab currently so I use Joy2Key to map the flippers to the gamepad. When my iPac goes in and I start using a cpanel, I will start using GameEx's advanced config to map buttons to flippers. I'm always happy to answer any questions you have, so feel free to ask away.
  12. Not really sure what you're asking here... if you mean a theme it's not nearly that simple unless you just use another theme's layout and overwrite the background images.
  13. Oh sh*t! Tom just blackballed himself! I'd go knock on every piece of wood in a two mile radius if I were you!
  14. Yes. There's a standalone app in the GameEx start menu folder.
  15. Mine actually came back by itself. I was wondering if GameEx can't find the weather server, does it just not display anything? Maybe that's what happened to me? I checked while it wasn't working and all my settings were still correct.
  16. No changes on my end. All I did today was run the updater. It was there before and gone after. I even tried restarting GameEx.
  17. Aww... My weather icon was working fine, but after this update it seems to have disappeared.
  18. Uh oh... I wouldn't worry too much as Tom is usually very quick to fix things, but could you please post your log anyway?
  19. Thanks as always Tom! I am still really digging the weather icon and the scrolling text. It's cool that I can add instructions on features on the start page and system information on the emulator pages. My cab makes me smile every time I walk past it! Maybe someday I'll spend some time actually playing it! Haha!
  20. It's a big one already... 200 MB for the original theme. It's my favorite by far though! You can download it from the post below. Not sure if Tom posted it yet... If not, he might as well hold off until I finish it up so it's 100% in keeping up with all the new features he's added since then. Giving up theme PSDs is a gift that keeps on giving! But, of course, all credit goes to Flash. I just really wanted to see this theme get finished because it's really spectacular on a WS monitor. It's all his work... I'm just doing some light editing and adding in some missing gfx. .:EDIT:. Nope, it's not on the theme page. Probably because Greatflash had it marked as WIP. Not for much longer though! If anyone can think of any emulators that are missing I'll add those too.
  21. I agree, but I wanted to finish up with the scroller and weather stuff before I upload the whole thing. I just put this in for the time being if people use it already. I plan on adding system info and some other things to the scroller and weather doesn't work straight off due to placement issues. Once that's done and I complete some missing emulator screens and artwork I will upload the whole shebang to the user submitted media thread.
  22. Yeah. The patch gets updated with every MAME build.
  23. Hey gang! Thanks to GreatFlash and his awesomesauce theme (complete with PSD templates) I went ahead and made up all the missing pages that Tom added in a recent GameEx release. You can download them from the link below. Here's what we got: Last Played Favorites Pictures Radio Video Ebooks You-Tube Karaoke DVDs News Search Library Theme Picker Extract these to the BlueBox MEDIA folder in the THEMES directory of GameEx. Enjoy, and make sure you drop GreatFlash a line thanking him for an awesome theme! Download the pack here!
  24. I'm sure you just need to recompile MAME to make it work. There was an update of HiToText in there if I recall. So the question is: How bad did you want that functionality back?
  25. Just out of curiosity... You didn't update your MAME build too did you? I'm thinking your problems will stop if you disable hiscore support in GameEx and try to run it, or more permanently, recompile your MAME build. I only saw this issue once before on my machine but an updated MAME build fixed it for me.
