  1. Sounds like a reasonable request to me. :-)
  2. My new theme will take advantage of this new feature. I should have it wrapped up in a week or two.
  3. Amen my friend! The best software money can buy, and support unmatched by anything I ever used! Thanks for your patience and understanding too!
  4. Thanks ehounder. Hopefully it's something that can be easily added in.
  5. You might as well just pick up GIMP, youre gonna outgrow that software fast! You're damn near ready to get a graphic design job already! Like the floppy disk idea. Coming along great! Did you do any Gameex "stock" pages yet?
  6. Thats a good question! Lol! I just looked at mine and the image updated to Double Dragon 2 but the text still says Golden Tee, which I haven't played in 4 days. I think something's wrong. Tom may need to look into it. Its maybe got something to do with the recent update involving network connectivity... Would someone else mind testing to confirm? I changed your post title to draw Tom's attention. Hope you don't mind.
  7. GameExtender has nothing to do with GameEx Live. Thats hooked into your gamercard. GameExtender is for secondary monitors and inter-network images. You don't need to add exceptions for any ports for GameEx Live. It should work under upnp.
  8. Yeah this was an old post. It had a formatting issue that bumped the version number up one.
  9. Sorry to hear you're jumping ship. If you change your mind and decide to try again, we'll be here for ya.
  10. If that works, then I misread. I saw it said 0xA3 on MSDN but thought that was for VB, not key codes.
  11. I don't think this will work as there may not be a specific assignment for each ctrl key like there is for shift keys, unless you use virtual key codes. You should be able to use ahk to get around this though.
  12. Not sure. It's probably a striped down version if GameEx. Not sure if it's even supported anymore, I'd have to ask Tom to know for sure. Your Gameex doesn't even run properly at stock settings (I mean on a fresh ini)?
  13. Yikes! Good luck, dood. We're here if you need us!
  14. Everything you said is pretty much a feature request. Groups do not have their own filters, and I don't think the emulator displays if it is in a group, so you gain the list of them all, but the emus aren't gonna show outside of the group they're in.
  15. Better still can you post the log and your gameex.ini?
  16. I absolutely love the Dragon Quest series. A personal fave of mine, along with Final Fantasy and Zelda. RPGwise there all awesome. You'll like Zelda if you liked these. Also give Phantasy Star, Breath of Fire, Xenogears, Golden Sun, and Chrono Trigger a try. And if you can get your hands on it, Mother 3 for GBA had a translation out for it on the interwebz.
  17. Lol! You would! Oh, it sucks, don't waste the time. Spend that time playing filthy mahjong instead, with the one button win cheat enabled. Haha!
  18. ^^ Keep in mind that if the theme.ini specifically tells the theme to do something, it overrides the global setting. For example, if I set a line in my theme's ini to use Veranda, or to only display it at a certain resolution, our to disable popup descriptions, you need to edit the actual ini for that theme to change any of these settings. Changing theses values in the Setup Wizard won't do anything. Hope that helps.
  19. But of course!
  20. 1: 1 and 2 are the primary and the secondary images. In my cab, the 1st image is the video and the 2nd image is the title screen. 2: You can add other images using GameExtender on a second monitor, but the themes are limited to 2 at a time. For MAME, 1 shows the video and 2 shows the cab's 3D model. 3: Yes, there is a way to enable custom emulator layouts in the Theme Editor. I don't personally use it so I don't know how it works, sorry. 4: Again, it's not a feature I'm all that familiar with, but Drac may know this. 5: This is theme specific also. You can set where you want the popup to display using Theme Editor.
  21. #1: Head over to headsoft.com.au and grab MameCompiler 64 by our very own Headkaze. Theres a write up there too on how to do it. It doesn't get easier than that! #2: theres a sticky in the forum and a zip you can download with a bunch more. Don't forget to update your game list when youre done adding them! Are these boxes in flv? They could easily be converted to work if they are...
  22. Sure! Go to the community tab of gameex.com , select 'get my gamertag' and follow the prompts. You'll then get the registry key. Run it on your cab. You should be set! Make sure your copy of gameex is up to date. Looking forward to seeing you up there!
  23. #1: You sure these are png files? I thought they were .x files? Or maybe the model is .x and the images it uses are PNG? #2: Your ROM set probably doesn't match your MAME version, or you need to compile your own version of MAME to skip the disclaimers.
  24. It's not too hard, just a combination of filters and a slight gradient.
  25. Coming along rather nicely... About 10 more emus to do and I'll move on to the media bar.
