  1. Well, my kids donated their Fushigi to the cause. Works pretty damn well actually. Here's a pic of it in action: $9.00 on Amazon, and it does the job well. I'll still probably get an acrylic one though, it'll look a little nicer and transmit the light a bit better. Still, cool idea BYOAC!
  2. Absolutely.
  3. So you're using AdvanceMAME in addition to MAMEUIFX? If not disable AdvanceMAME in Advanced MAME Settings.
  4. I think (not positive though) you need to press up or down arrow keys. Can someone confirm?
  5. Do the games you've tried run outside of GameEx?
  6. I read on the BYOACWiki that instead of spending $50 +shipping on a neat colored 3" trackball from Suzo-Happ (what a screw job that place is on the shipping!!!), many people opt to buy juggling balls instead. I hit up Amazon and found this for about $25 shipped: Amazon Acrylic Juggling Ball I know the ball is the right size (3"), just wondering how they perform... It sure would look nice on my CP, and I could mount an extra LED wedge bulb/socket I have left from playing with colored lights on the coin door project that lets some of the light through (the XArcade trackball even has a place to mount said socket). Anyone done this?
  7. I would try installing Gameex over top first, move to .net stuff if that doesn't work. As a last resort I would try uninstalling Gameex. Don't feel bad, I do IT work too and Headkaze is a programmer and you stumped us both too!
  8. Thanks for the share! The method I'm using works fine right now (straight up lnk files and no clicking required), but I don't use steam either. Hopefully someone will post that understands this. You may want to up this into the contributions thread in the pinned topic forum so out doesn't get lost.
  9. I'll say... Did you try and download the installer from gameex.com and reinstall over to of your existing installation? Never even seen that error before in my 7+ years of using it.
  10. Looks like something Is bugging Setup Wizard. Without knowing what was going on under the hood, I'd ask what the last thing you did was before you tried enabling GameExtender. Just for the sake of curiosity, youre not using a lite xp build right? And also you using Gameextender over a network or for a second monitor? I'm no good at JIT errors, so someone like Headkaze will be of more help.
  11. Lol! Snooze ya lose my friend! If you guys are gonna make it this easy on me, I guess I should ready consider trying this out, eh?
  12. Don't feel bad man. I've had many incidents including (but not limited to): Power supply failure. Fried mobo. Dead RAM. OS issues. Add to that the occasional missed measurement and sloppy cut. Eventually things get repaired and the cycle starts over again. It really is a labor of love. Oh and lol at the topic title! No matter how hard or soft a kick in the nuts is, it hurts about the same. Not to mention that every man in a five block radius feels it too!
  13. In my opinion there aren't enough HTPC-centered themes out there. I'm sure it'll turn out great as all yours do!
  14. All themes should be that way. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
  15. I think the idea is an OS that is backwards compatible with smart phones if my research serves me.
  16. I'll stick to 0.128 since all I use it for anyways is Colecovision and Atari 7800, and it's not like there has been any changes there. Too many changes for no real results. @IMB: can you hear the game? Do you ned to change the renderer to D3D?
  17. Bwa ha ha ha ha!
  18. Thanks for the link Drac! Seems really cool but I'll wait before I add it to my rig.
  19. I can confirm. I had to move the date way to the left on BlueBox because of this.
  20. I figured you were just running the program twice and having them run in half screen. Thats good news Tom! Thanks!
  21. Thanks for the update guys!
  22. Facebook.
  23. Today is Jim Henson's birthday or something. So naturally, you should go to google, click the green muppet on top and press your arrow key 20 times.
  24. Big shout to HK for helping me before I even knew I needed it! This works great!! Too bad it's not a tick box in Mame Compiler 64, but I can do it this way too.
  25. Funny how that works isn't it? You just never realized how popular you are until word gets out! Lol! I would love a bar top! If I decide to do another one someday, thats totally the route I wanna take. I'm super impressed with your first build! Mine was a total mess! Great job!
