  1. Good lookin Stu! I didn't use the /exit switch before, but I'll add it in. Thanks!
  2. Wonder if you could just send a VKey to it? Does it have to be a mouse click?
  3. Thanks for the tip Krak! I whipped up an app to do this for ya. Hope this helps others looking for an automatic patch. You need .NET 4 and Admin privileges to run this since it makes changes to a Microsoft system file (don't worry, it'll request the permission before it launches so nothing shady happening here). It also makes a backup of the hosts file prior to writing in case something goes wrong. If there are other changes or servers to add it's a quick update. Quake III Arena - Server Patch.rar
  4. Well, if it were me and I knew exactly what games I wanted to use, I would add the game I didn't want to filter (the clone in this case) to the "Don't Filter" list and the parent to the "Filter" list.
  5. I may be able to issue a quick and dirty workaround if you're interested in the form of a plugin... Although it's not the ideal solution I could easily make something that plays music from a certain folder that only plays when that emulator is selected. Honestly I'd like to see what Tom thinks first, because going around one of his features isnt something I would feel comfortable doing without his blessing.
  6. Glad to hear you got it working null! Wish I could have helped more.
  7. The problem isn't mp3s though because my jukebox still played them fine. My ambiance file still worked fine. It is specifically related to the emulator music in advanced emu configuration.
  8. So DTools won't work at all if you change the drive type? Hmm... Sounds like the loader needs some tweaking. :ğ
  9. Hmm... I wonder if ntdll.DLL is involved in the passing of the music file to whatever method Tom uses to play said music file? The other thing I was thinking is I moved to W7 since this started happening, so it could also be related to XP. Tom will have to look into this.
  10. It does indeed. In my case, SSF loads after a message box from GameEx (you would def notice this happening since it displays while GameRx is mounting), and after the game exits the disc is unmounted. Any chance you could easily do a full uninstall and reinstall of DTools with the default settings? This is too weird that its happening for you too because GamePimp had a very similar issue but Freq was able to get it righted. As for using game specific batch files, you could just use one and bring in the rom info as a variable, no? MyBatFileLoader.bat "[ROMPath]\[ROMFile]â?? "[ROM]" /start bat epsxeloader.exe dtools.exe -mount %1 (or what have you) xpadder.exe â??%2â?? /end bat That assumes you have game specific profiles for xpadder of course.
  11. Dude! Wish I would have chimed in sooner! Its a bug I forgot all about. I spent a week ripping, remixing, and remastering game music for this feature. It worked for a while... At first the crashes were random, and then got more and more. It took me a bit but I figured out it was emulator music that plays from a folder when that emulator is selected. I stopped using emu music and the problem went away with it, forgot all about it. It's certainly a bug and it's specific to emulator music. It goes back at least since last year. Sorry it took me so long but it would be balls out if this big was fixed especially since its an app crash so the log won't catch it. You may be able to get more specific crash info from Windows Error Reporting. Could you please post your crash log from there?
  12. Depends on how he renders the font in code. That's a lot of code insertion for every menu if you really think about it...
  13. Ohh man I missed an obvious question here! I saw you were using a loader for sure. Why wouldn't you use your integrated GameEx support for DTools instead of using a launch before/after? Just add either [-VIRTUALDRIVE-] or [VIRTUALDRIVE]:\ to your command line and let Tom's new EXE do that. It wasn't your wall of text that made me skim it, it was a nearly dead phone battery.
  14. Long time no see bro! I hope life is treating you favorably!
  15. The problem here seems like you're launching something other than the emu first and GameEx is watching your "loader" instead of the emulator and launching the "launch after" command after the loaded executes. I would try using either an advanced config and fix the watched process or whip up a bat file. I tried answering without opening your spoilers so let me know if it sticks or not. If not I'll go in for a closer look.
  16. Sorry I coulda told ya that too.
  17. Aside from making the zip with the artwork in it yourself theres not. Keep in mind that unless you disable GameEx bezel your MAME bezels won't show up (at least I am pretty sure).
  18. Happy birthday Alpha!
  19. Put this in a pack when you're done so I can add it to the theme comp thread.
  20. Same with MAME's source code download (although the EmuMovies is the main mirror they have backups so you wouldn't notice it really).
  21. The force is strong in you my son. Lol!
  22. Well its as complicated or as simple as the user makes it. The plugin would send the CL, the user would only need to tell the plugin where the exe is. Ad much as I hate noobz, I try to make things simple or advanced. Lots of options ate great as long as the options are optional.
  23. Not unless Tom adds functionality for it in a way I can get to it. Maybe he could add a country code the same way he uses color coding. Either way its a feature request. As for hex color codes the user would have to enter their own in your case and unless you import a map file the directory scan isn't going to pick up roms that aren't there so you'd be doing a lot of manual entries.
  24. Why thank you Headkaze! I try to be useful if I can, but more often than not it's for me. Here's an updated picture if anyone wanted to have a look see: I added a bunch of string manipulation stuff to it. Still working on the Good Name crap (man there's a ton of stuff to filter out / fix!)
  25. I'm pretty sure when you turn on GameExtender and get your smartphone/p3/xbox/whatever on the IP and port you specify those controls come up. Your machine is 192.168.1.5 You open port 5858 for GameEx You point your browser at 192.168.1.5:5858 ...and you're in there! The "app" in this thread is just a re-skinned web page that sends keys to GameEx using this method AFAIK.
