  1. You may also want to make sure that the command line for the emulator setup in GameEx is aae.exe [ROMFILE]per this site http://emuconfig.wikidot.com/emuconfig unless someone else has a suggestion. You may also want to consider using the map file by Frequency (click on the link in my sig).
  2. The config for your emulator would probably be helpful. The first thing to check is that you are running the correct command line from within GameEx.
  3. Have you checked out the latest MAME builds? There are quite a few games that are now being emulated very well that were previously played in some of the other emulators only or not so well.

    WHAT?!

Get what you can afford. 1000 shouldn't be that much more than 800.

    WHAT?!

I wouldn't trust the java app because that is way way off IMO. If your drives are closer together the heat will tend to concentrate and will be cumulative the higher you go up the stack. Hopefully the PSU replacement will remedy your issue.
  6. Please provide copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files as previously requested and we will be glad to try to further diagnose the cause for you. Thanks!
  7. Starbuck - did you resolve the issue? If so, please share your resolution as there may be others that have this same issue. Thanks!
  8. Awesome update! Thanks!
  9. Understood - what is the best solution? I though you were looking for suggestions other than DT Lite because of the licensing. Is that a non-issue now or are you just looking for different ideas on how to get it to the users? You can always add a link to the publishers site in the setup wizard and let the users handle the registration of the product, etc.?
  10. Gizmo Drive looks promising by its description: Gizmo Drive v2.7.9 • Mount ISO, BIN, CUE, NRG files to a virtual CD-ROM drive • Mount VHD files, used with Microsoft Virtual PC • Mount password protected images to a virtual hard drive • Encrypt HD images using a passphrase • Protect vital files from hackers using encrypted HD images • Mount IMG files to a virtual drive • Mount and unmount files from the Windows Shell • Mount and unmount files from the command line • Support for compression and sparse HD images
  11. Have you considered any of the other free or open source alternatives? I saw a few at http://alternativeto.net/software/daemon-tools/ although I can only say that I have only ever used Daemon Tools Lite in the past.
  12. Thanks!

    WHAT?!

Umm.. yeah. 500 Watts is way underpowered for 10 internal drives, CPU, GPU, fans, etc. If you are going to run a server with more than 5 drives, have you considered a rack mount system? Even if you bump up to a 1000+ Watt PSU, you are going to have way more heat in that case than the fans can safely dissipate. You need to get that thing cool, Mister, and I mean now! LOL!
  14. We will need to know quite a bit more from you. You may want to start by supplying us with a copy of your gameex.ini, log.txt files and a more clear explanation of the errors experienced when you attempt to change themes.
  15. Sounds like it may be a display driver issue. Have you confirmed that you have the latest video drivers and correct video settings for the new monitor?
  16. I believe they use a special EPROM and that there is no interface available except through the manufacturer. Might be able to Ebay it though for someone else trying to complete a Golden Tee cab.
  17. You can run the install from download and your current settings will be retained. Of course, if you want to play it safe, you can back up your gameex directory.
  18. Since you have room for 4, you can use the trackball and 2 spinners with 1 to spare.
  19. Maybe a codecs issue?
  20. You are correct - keep in mind that it will be a separate keyboard combo that will need to be assigned to those controllers. Since trackballs and spinners are interpreted as mice, you would likely be restricted to those types of devices.

    SlikStik

Have done that as well in addition to taking a screen capture of their screen (you really should lock your PC in the corporate workplace), hiding their desktop icons, and pasting the screen capture as their new desktop image. It is a wonderful combo.. first the mouse doesn't track, they discover the cause, but yet it still doesn't work when they click on their desktop shortcuts..
  22. Display Emulator Menus option is appearing below the Cancel Button under Options>Settings.
  23. The complete list, courtesy of Adultery, is included in the spoiler below. This will allow users to adapt images (edit/rename/etc.) of their choice to replace the stock images for further theme customization. The icons must be named as noted - Image 0.png, etc. - in order to work correctly.
  24. Yes, as Tom was polling the platform upon which GameEx was running upon. This poll was to see for what purpose (regardless of platform). Apples and Oranges, my friend.. but together make a great fruit salad!
  25. My understanding is that it will display for the individual emulator only when stand-alone, not when grouped. That would be consistent with the behavior you are showing. The group setting overrides the individual - much like a democracy. Then the individual screams not fair.. wait, this isn't the politics forum. Nevermind.
