  1. That coming from someone that drinks Heiney-kins? That has shit-flavor all over it! It is so crappy they put it in skunky green bottles!
  2. OK, now for an update. I will be contacted in the next few days by the local distributor. For my beer loss and "paper cut" they are coming to my home to pick up the broken bottle and, in exchange for the bottle and my troubles, giving me a 12-pack of Guinness Draught!
  3. I would imagine that you could "google" for No Intro to find the site (I believe no-intro.org) and they should have a list of the different file names. I am not aware of a way that you can differentiate between the games via GameEx other than to edit the static or video snap to reflect the number of players for the version.
  4. We shouldn't be seeing a theme "breaking" an emulator functionality. Can you provide a copy of your gameex.ini file as well? Also, please download the latest GameEx install file direct from the site and install it that way to see if it resolves your issue with SSF.
  5. Great Googlymoogly! I will need to get my office setup finished soon so I can give it a go! Thanks!
  6. I think you may need to visit the emulator support forums to see if anyone else encountered the same. BIOS is Basic Input Output System and often required to run some ROMs. Unfortunately, we cannot help you obtain them here (kinda like ROMS, they are not legal) hence referring you to the emulator site.
  7. MDAC is now DAC and integrated in the Windows 7 OS, so installing MDAC is not going to help you. You may need to dig into Event Viewer to see if anything stands out. There is obviously something going on with the laptop that is interfering with the Data Access Components for Windows 7. Not having the laptop in front of me, I can only guess at best. Have you tried a System Restore to a date prior to the issue occurring? If that does nto resolve the issue, then something in the Win 7 install is corrupt and may require that you reinstall your image from the OWM backup disk. Not optimum and not the advice I would normally like to give.
  8. @ClassicGMR - I went ahead and split this into its own thread as the OPs issue for the original thread EPSX Help Please had been marked as a [RESOLVED] topic. I appreciate that you did not want to start a new thread, however, if issues are posted in those marked as [RESOLVED] or [NEWS], they are more likely to get passed over.
  9. Sounds like you may need to submit a new feature request here as GameEx will look for the next available image for the rom in question should the primary snap not be found. Sorry to hear that you are having a tough run of it. Have been there myself so I can empathize with your predicament. At least you have your health and sense of humor and that is always a good thing!
  10. He'll be in the paper box.. .Oops! Did I say that?
  11. It just keeps getting better! Thanks, Adultery!
  12. You haven't bought a license yet? You really need to do so! After about 1 month of the nag screen I had to dig under sofa cushions and shake my kids down for their lunch money to get a lifetime license and it was worth it! I just recalled from an old post the location where you can create and place a NO_IMAGE.png to place in the theme's logos path (i.e. \gameex hemes\your theme name here\logos\) that fits with your theme or logo style. MAME will pull from this location if no snap is available.
  13. There is also a setting under Game Extender (in Setup Wizard). I have to admit that I have forgotten where the default image can be sotred and read by GameEx when a specific image is not listed. No matter, the settings are controlled by a default path or custom path as defined in the Setup Wizard and not via Theme Editor.
  14. You can set this up for each emulator (look in the Advanced Emulator setup for the section Not Found Snap). I usually use the same image saved to the \GameEx\Media path, however, you can create an image or video snap to do the same thing and make it individualized for each emulator you are using.
  15. I am not quite sure of what you are asking. Image and Image2 frames will display varying items. Image will display video snaps, logo files, and also 3D cabinets, marquees, etc., when you have clicked on a game. Image2 will also vary but generally will display cabinet art, box, art, etc. The images for both are picked up from whatever path you have set for your ROM snaps, cabinet art, marquees, etc. when you run GameEx. If there are no images that correspond, then GameEx will load an Image Not Found snap if setup to do so. Hope this is of help.
  16. Or maybe they will start a new program of tracking missing persons and yours will be the first face to grace a paper box?
  17. That will happen sometimes when you update from within GameEx as opposed to doing an update via the download. Glad you got it fixed!
  18. LOL! I won't be stroking anything for a bit. And what do you call that sorry excuse for horse piss you drink?
  19. I sent them an email with pics and got a phone call with a case number earlier today! It will be interesting to see where it goes.I could handle a years supply - might have to kick out a kid to make room for it.. decisions, decisions....
  20. Be sure to email Tom - he can host them for you on the GameEx site.
  21. I agree! Great idea! Since I moved my office I haven't reconnected my game pads or Tankstick or else I would test it tonight. Maybe I can give it a go this weekend. Don't forget to update your projects page!
  22. It's actually worse than it looks. I've got a lemon for your next paper cut, Tempest!
  23. As it should be - never drink the last of the host's premium brew!
  24. Nope, that was the last of the "soldiers." There was a can of Bud Light, which I did drink, but doesn't compare to the heartiness that is Guinness.
  25. Nah - had to pour it out. Didn't want to chance cutting up my insides!
