  1. I have to agree with null on this as well regarding Java. Java can be a bit of a bad dog in the browser environment for apps designed around it. I have seen too many times where a web-based application was upgraded and dependent upon a new version of Java and would crash other apps that were opened in a tabbed browser environment that were not compatible with the latest java version. The only workaround, if you are lucky, is to open a separate browser instance and run the apps separately instead of a tabbed browser instance - thus defeating the purpose of a single browser instance. I say only as many companies will only support one browser (usually IE). In those that will allow installing Firefox or Chrome, then that will often work better.
  2. Well, except for you, please go back 6 years and edit every post you made!
  3. WIP = Work In Progress
  4. I agree and will look into turning it down a notch or two. Because of the LCD font, it is difficult to not detract from the text. I may look at a different selector design that is more solid but fits with the theme. As noted, the emphasis on the theme is simplicity. That being said, I have eliminated the display of image 2 for secondary artwork to allow for a larger display of the primary image field. The user can view the available images upon selection of the specific game.
  5. You may want to create a post in the General forum and provide info regarding the theme you are using, your gameex.ini and images if possible.
  6. To Infinity and beyond! Ok, that was probably very weak and heard by you a million times, but hey, get over it! You never call, you don't write, you don't send me flowers anymore... what do you expect? You know what I expect? That you will have a great birthday, even if you don't invite me to the stinkin' party!
  7. Here is a brief demo of changes I made to the selector bar colors and animation:
  8. Outside of the story I would want to see a list of the games before I started getting a woody over it!
  9. Seriously? LOL! Starting now and going forward I think is reasonable, don't you?
  10. Thanks! I need to make some adjustments to overcome the stretching and compression of the selector bar dimensions. Also, the amber highlight scrolls back and forth rather nicely!
  11. Awesome! I would be happy with the option to control the color of the text separate from the list and title fonts as well. I think that "amber" LCD would look great as a compliment to the blue IMHO.
  12. "Would be nices" are Feature & Enhancement requests, my friend!
  13. @Snarls - Did these suggestions resolve the issue?
  14. Thanks, guys! I have a few theme ideas that I had placed on the "back burner" and will probably revive a couple and release over the next few months. One is based on Pink Floyd's "The Wall" that I had started in earnest, but hit against a creative wall of my own. I am still working on creating a "theme neutral" logo pack that I hope to release with this theme and as a standalone pack.
  15. Here is a sneak peak at a theme I am working on. The background and foreground images are very simple in comparison to previous works released. It will be a Hi-Def theme and the colors for the text, etc work really well at the "10 Ft Interface" for HTPC.
  16. Read the article. Likely he amassed his booty from bidding on warehouse contents or store closures as some of the stuff has never been opened. I don't know anyone that that can claim to have played all of the carts for some of the larger collections. He'd be better off selling items individually as I don't think that anyone would seriously bid 1.2 mil for the whole thing.
  17. Trust me - I have so many handfuls I toss it about like a rabid bonobo at the zoo!
  18. $1.2 Million Ultimate Games Collection My family thinks I am the king of Nerdtopia, but DAYUM!
  19. All - You have probably noticed at the bottom of each and every post is a "Like This" button. While it may seem trivial, I know that when someone is using something I created and I see that they of clicked this button that I am on the right track. If you are using a plug-in, script, or app, regardless of whether recent or not, that one of our fellow users has poured his/her blood, sweat, and tears into to create, please let them know by clicking the "Like This" button at the bottom of the first post of their project announcement thread!
  20. The video snaps should be named the same as the ROM or file name for your Daphne files. If the names are not the same they won't be played.
  21. I am not to sure about the "Series" issue. A little more information as to what you are attempting to achieve might be in order.
  22. Welcome to the GameEx forums! The functionality is not there for displaying all snaps types at once. This is not, as u-man suggested, a failing or limitation of Theme Editor, but a limitation within GameEx itself as to how many images can be simultaneously displayed. He is correct in suggesting that you can submit a request for such a view via the Features and Enhancements requests thread to which he provided the link. Theme Editor is a basic skinning editor. As with anything, the more suggestions and contributions to the community, the more likely we will continue to see improvements. Many of us perform the majority of our theme building using such tools as Paint, GIMP, or PhotoShop to actually create and modify the graphics you see in the background and foreground elements, logo snaps, etc. and rely upon Theme Editor as a means of placing the various functional elements to display the images and text relative to where we want them within the background and foreground images created.
  23. What Adultery said, 7zip or zip, no rar support. @csnells2000 - you started with 2 emulators and are now posting ini's for 5 more. For your sake as well as those helping you I recommend that you present one at a time in its own thread if necessary. You need to make certain that you have each working on its own before tackling getting things setup in GameEx. That being said, let's everyone take a few steps back and get the unhandled exception errors resolved. Can you provide us with an up top date and complete log.txt file and your gameex.ini file? Also, be prepared to load a few more supporting programs, such as the codecs files you probably need.
  24. You are correct regarding most current published eBooks and comics. The eBook reader built into GameEx is also used to read game & system manuals, which, as you know, likely do not fit within a recognized standard as many were compiled before eBook readers were envisioned or by end-users with no concerns/knowledge of suggested formats.
  25. My guess is that the Title page is being presented as Page 1 (in real world, would be Page 0). What may be problematic for a resolution is that there isn't a set standard for eBook publishing. A fix to place the title or cover page of the eBook displayed and aligned right may resolve for some or most but may create a similar result to what you are experiencing in others that do not have a proper Title page or cover. I think that a proper fix would be to program this for a selectable option in the Setup Wizard under HTPC/Multimedia Settings > eBook Settings to "align right" the first or cover page.
