  1. Thanks again!
  2. I know I have promised in the past to a few and will try to get a clean image of an X-Arcade Tankstick that you can feel free to include with your Image Kit.
  3. I change my avatar more often than my underwear - you are going to be very busy, Ray!
  4. Thanks! Oh, I know that Adultery probably reported this as well - I got my weather back! Thanks!
  5. Thanks for the clarification, Tom. I guess the concern that I have (and possibly a few others) is not being able to control the update of image process. If a user has a naming schema that is different that what is used by EmuMovies, the update is unneccessary for that user, is going to take up storage space with the placement of the new files that were "perceived" as missing, and create additional cleanup by the user. My guess is that if they remove the updated files, GameEx will then look for those files again and re-download them. A global Enable/Disable Media Updates option would be great, a by Emulator Enable/Disable Media Updates would be ideal.
  6. No offense taken. I know that some systems will have difficulties with onboard video regardless of assigning the allocated amount of RAM through a static config or dynamic. What you may want to try is to delete all unneeded files. For example, if the theme has foreground and background .png files for all emulators oither than MAME and Daphne, you can try deleting them, then open the theme as an existing theme in Theme Editor, then click save and exit - this will "prune" the extra images referenced from within the theme. YOu may also want to delete any system logo files that are provided with the theme that you are not using as well.
  7. Awesome job! I like much!!!
  8. It may be part of the updates taking place in the backend or initiating. If that is the case, would be cool to have some control over them (such as the EmuMovies updates for example). It is very distracting to see the updates constantly and while I think is is a great idea, user control is a must.
  9. Welcome to the forums. Before we can attempt to help you out, would you care to let us know what emulator you are using? Did you get it configured to work as expected outside of GameEx? Are you using any 3rd party profiling software (i.e. Logitech Profiler, Xpadder, Joy2Key, etc.)?
  10. Yeah, more or less. Is the graphics card built into the motherboard or a separate card? How much RAM are you running on your machine total? Regardless of whether or not the graphics card is built in or not, I would strongly recommend installing one that is compatible with the most RAM possible (256MB min, 512MB preferred). AGP if your mobo supports it is going to give your video superior throughput as the "pipe" can transmit more bits than a card on the PCI bus. That way, your OS can use more of the RAM for your programs and share less with the GPU.
  11. Would need to know more. The theme itself is not going to eat up that much on resources. I would say we need to know what you are running so far as your Windows version, graphics adapter, etc. Also you might want to open Task Manager and see what else may be running in the background that could be causing a problem with your available resources. I assume from this post these are your system specs: Intel Atom 1.3 GHz N330 dual-core ITX motherboard. 2GB DDR2 PC2-6400 RAM running in single channel mode (only 1 DIMM slot onboard). 500GB 7200 RPM 2.5" SATA HDD running Windows XP. Wireless keyboard(when needed) is a Perixx 701 wireless keyboard w/ touchpad. GameEx Front End. All controlled by an XBOX 360 USB game pad.
  12. My 1st wife, kids and I saw the hand-off of the torch to Alex Trebeck in 1996 (in Jacksonville FL on its way to Atlanta) just a few blocks from where we lived at the time, It is something you get to witness only once in a lifetime for most.
  13. Thanks! Although, I wouldn't call Brokeh all that wonderful a theme - more like an early port. I think that making them large (approx 800x600) will allow for more flexibility when scaled for larger displays as well as small.
  14. I split these posts out from the [NEWS] topic.
  15. Otherwise just updated to 10.74 and, other than the missing weather info, all seems to be just fine! Thanks for the rapid response, Tom!
  16. Thanks!
  17. I have tried that several times as there are multiple locs listed for Jacksonville Florida to choose from and still no weather joy.
  18. The dbcachce and other files with cache in the file name. Sometimes they can become corrupt, and my thought is that, since we are dealing with a new DB software, clearing the cache files may be of some help to a few affected.
  19. Worth the asking. I had a long, delayed start after the install. Not everyone is experiencing issues the same way and clearing cached files is one of our common troubleshooting steps.
  20. Any luck after clearing your cached files?
  21. The menu will show above the foreground images. I as few others have noted this and I believe that a feature request was also submitted to give "skinners" extra control over this feature.

    Hellow

Maybe.. his account dates back to 2008. From what I could tell, the site checks out (vote for the most hideous kitchen to get a makeover). If it were a bot, I would find it odd that it posted in the appropriate forum. Will keep an eye out regardless.
  23. I would recommend getting the mp4 issue fixed if that is indeed the issue, as they are becoming more widely used than the avi and flv formats. If you have installed the Shark007 codecs (if using Win 7 x64 bit, there is a 64-bit codec pack that also needs to be installed), you will want to uninstall the 64-bit codec pack first, then the standard codec pack, then reinstall them standard and 64-bit codec packs in that order.
  24. Sleep? You don't need no steenkin' sleep! LOL! Look forward to testing the update when I get home. Thanks, Tom!
