A dream job, but like ANY job, the boss was probably a prick and you would eventually get tired of gaming altogether from just the exposure to it everyday. That's how I feel about fried chicken. Can't stand the stuff because I would fry (and bake, and rotisserie) chicken all day everyday. I can't even really stand the smell of it anymore. Dad's like "we're having KFC for dinner, what do you want?" And I say "McDonald's", which is even worse, but keep me away from the chicken!

Wow this game is hella fun! I wish I participated when the scores were coming in. Hard to believe we're still on the first page of entries, and only 3 top submissions so far. This game is awesome! I'm going to play it a lot more now that I'm familiar with it. Took me a while to wrap my head around all the stuff happening, but it's great now. Uhg this game is insanely difficult! Seems like the tanks fire faster than you can move, and their targeting is pretty near perfect. Will definitely come back and play this one again in the future. Right now I'm just home recovering from the oral surgery and getting some scores posted on games I don't have any yet. It's probably not Halo Wars.. even though that fits your previous hint somewhat too. I think HW was only on Xbox. DLC? I didn't think they had that back in the days of Shareware. They often had 3rd party expansions (like Quake had 2 I owned). I'm really trying to wrack my brain on this one. Starcraft!!!!?

Here's my first submission for this game guys. It's not nearly as good as some of you veterans, but it's pretty good for me. I don't power through levels, never really did. Even on home consoles, I was lucky to get to stage 3 or 4 before I was out of lives. I put in probably 5 quarters overall before I finally came up with this measly score lol. LOL!!! Man I suck at this game.. It wouldn't be so bad if your had a range attack (like when in robot form). All the enemies are ranged, and some of them require more than 1 hit kills. OK here's my (late) submission for this game... It's insane the higher level you get. Took me a few tries, coming back to the game over a few days, but I finally got a couple of decent scores and screen grabbed them. I think in my crazy playing, I accidentally hit my COIN+ button (left bumper on my controller) so the lower score doesn't count because the screenshot has an extra credit in the machine. So the 2nd play though is the new high score. I doesn't matter in this game, as when you start your new credit you begin at 0 again. But fair is far. I have no clue then lol.. Dune is the only RTS I ever played on PC that was " <hint> The game is set in the far future in the midst of a galactic war. ". Other than maybe Star Wars Rebellion. Was there a Command & Conquer game in the future?

I hear ya. Over at RetroAchievments.org, last weeks GOTW was "Rendering Ranger R2" (SNES). It does the exact same thing. And me, having never owned an SNES, and never played this game, I suck. I get so far, being super beefy with maxed out guns and shields, then I die by falling down a hole or something, and then restart my next guy at the same spot (nice in this case) but with no weapons and the enemies around me are killer tough! I think it's just nobody knew they were even there in the first place. If it was the first game of it's kind, etc, nobody would really know any different. We're just used to the way games are now, and when a game like this comes along that's not all super fast, we get upset about it. It's awesome that the game originally had it and MAME accurately duplicates it. I'm sure there's a modified/hacked rom or something that can be used to play at full speed without the slowdown, but where'd be the fun in that? Updated OP, DB, RSS

Wow that link is really helpful with identifying bad caps. I never even knew of such a thing... Here's another question for ya.. My woofer has those speaker ins/outs (spring clips) on it too. What are those for? Am I supposed to be using them for anything? The instruction manual I got with my "kit" didn't say anything about them, just to connect the standard RCA cable to the "IN" port on the back. Are those clips for hooking in speakers, so the signal is actually passed through the woofer before going to the speakers, so it can pick up additional bass, or are those meant for OUTS to get additional amp? I've never used them, just curious.
