  1. i think the black screen is caused, because vpinball is closing table, but won't exit. So indeed, try to run pinballx as admin an set a key to exit in settings.exe. this key should terminate the emulator
  2. Question is : how do you exit the table ? By pressing quit twice or the configured exit key in pinballx ?
  3. You're better off using videos,Instead of the b2S Turn off the following in pinballx.ini AutoPositionB2S=True UseB2S=True AutoConfigure=True And retry
  4. Please use the forum for question. And as it say: instal directb2sserver
  5. Didn't have it myself. Can you post your log file (after the issue occ)and pinballx.ini ?
  6. Is this issue only with 4.34, or do you have it with previous version as wel ? If you alt-tab, will you see the BG or is not there ? And yes, Log and pinballx.ini would be appreciate to post to check if there is anything stated And the log file must be used after the issue occurs
  7. You mean something like in the following post ? https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=11055
  8. Please use the forum for any questions. With pinballx there aren't any free tables/emulators shipped, only some examples. You need to setup all your self
  9. Glad you sorted it out ! No, we work on :
  10. Barely... since database manager, I don't have time for sleep. Only busy with Scutters to improve the program.
  11. Don't understand your question. The xml should only contains a table/game name and the info (name, description, year etc). It doesnt contain resolution. The resolution is your windows resolution. You can setup in settings.exe, but think it is more for setting up your displays. Can you attach the pinballx.ini and log.txt as attachment?
  12. Please post your pinballx.ini, log.txt and a zipfile of your database folder
  13. Instead of trial and error, read this. Bit outdated, but most still usable
  14. Port 22 is only for browsing and uploading for basic menbers. See: https://www.gameex.info/forums/ftp/
  15. nice one ! I need to update my steam on my cab and get all to work again. I will definitely 'lurk' your ftp for videos !
  16. If you have want to run visual pinball in full screen mode, you need to setup your monitor in landscape mode. And in visual pinball (video settings) you need to select FS mode ( just under the resolution select box) Hope this helps
  17. @Tom Speirs. I know you areyaware of it, but wanted you aware of it again
  18. Thanks for the donation. That will keep the servers and maintenance up and running. I'm just helping people for fun (i dont get and dont want donation) I'm really terrible with photo editing. But I spend a lot of hours to code to database manager. First version took me (and Scutters) 2 1/2 months of constant programming (every free hour I spend on it) If you want to share your wheels or other stuff, please put it on the gamex ftp !
  19. Gotcha. Wasn't aware the exe was the same. I will use that one. Thanks mate !
  20. I'm more taking it easy. 7 out of 10 is fine too
  21. transparant png (and gifs) are working for me for a long time. All my png's I use has transparency. Almost perfect ? If you need extra features, you can always request for new missing features
  22. you need to setup a key or button to exit an emulator. Doing this, should only close FP and not pinballX. PinballX gives for me a message : return or shutdown if I press the exit button in the frontend
  23. all version can be downloaded on the same page. Just click on "see changelog" on the download page of PinballX, to go back to a previous version
  24. see following post. You need to delete the 2 files in the pinballx folder
  25. Hi Bob Pinballx version 3.2 is pretty old. Version 4.33 is the latests version. In the pinballx directory there is a media folder. In that folder, a subfolder with the system name is there. In that folder you see folders like 'backglass images ' or 'backglass videos' Here you can put your videos/images that would be displayed by pbx when selecting a table. If you use Pinballx Database Manager (see download section), you can easily import videos and images per table I hope this makes sense to you
