  2. Just tried with an application from the menu (where exe is not there yet). Pbx tries to launch it and same behaviour when switching back to pbx
  3. Does it creates an app error eventlog ?
  4. I just setup 1 emulator (99.9% of the tables are vpx) ... give me some days extra to check/install for other emulators as well.
  5. Don't you have the log.txt in the same directory ? this should be created after you launch PinballX for the first time. Did you install .net core 6 (see https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet) and also installed the dependencies for W7 ? see: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/core/install/windows?tabs=net60
  6. Hey guys, I hope someone can help me. background: I switched my PC for a complete new PC in my cab. During the same process. I switched my 40"4k TV to a 39.5" curved QHD monitor. I reinstalled PinballX, but copied to Config files, database files and media files. In the config files, I still have startup and exit scripts, but the files are not there , so they don't do anything. I have 2 issues (And split them into 2 different topics) When Launching PinballX and selecting 1 game, the windows/programs that are open, will appear on top of my loading image/video. Quitting the game and returning to PinballX , and launch another game, the loading video is showed as it should (and all the games after) I had this issue on my previous (w10) cab as well, and use a minimized all script before I started PBX, but without the script I noticed how annoying this is I made a video to show the behaviour 2022-05-17 07-05-30.mp4 All the help will be appreciated PinballX.ini log.txt

I have 2 issues (And split them into 2 different topics) When I start PinballX, my playfield screen (with wheels etc) looks normal, but when I start a game, and close it, the playfield screen has black borders (Looks like the resolution is a bit smaller) I can see the image of the '4th' wheel on the right side. it looks like all is there, but zoomed out. I made a video and 2 photo's. On the video it is hard to see (that's why I added some photo's as well) 2022-05-17 07-05-30.mp4 On first run of PinballX After selecting one game and returning to pinballx (notice the Popeye that is starting on the right, next to POTC) All the help will be appreciated log.txt PinballX.ini
  8. Can you post your log.txt as an attachment?
  9. I normally play just 1 game when launched from pinballx and exit it again, so the rom (if supported) is send to pinemhi. I wasn't that strike 'n spares causes issues when playing multiple games. Maybe ask an author about it. Maybe a s8mple script that fix it I have an idea for ignoring obsolete tables, but let me talk to scutters first
  10. Thanks to @scutters, we have a new release of DBM. Scutters took most (read all ) part of this release as I'm still trying to recover from some health issues. Just a small background how DBM is updated and how the ideas come together, Scutters lives 449 KM away from me (279 miles) and we have created a shared medium where we have the CODE and other stuff for DBM (or PinballX). We communicate about ideas and store them in a notepad document. The notepad contains new features and bugs that are discovered If an idea or new feature is agreed and added to the list for a new release, normally the person who has the idea/feature will work on it. (that 99.9% of the time Scutters ) But this release Scutters took even an idea from the list that I added (without agreement) and code it. So thanks Scutters for this release . As Always, I really appreciate your help with all of this. And as I said multiple times, without you, DBM wasn't so mature as it is now ! Anyway. What did we added/change ? In previous release we added 'InGame' images. So if you have a Video for Backglass, DMD or topper and you have unchecked to 'Hide during game option', you can add a picture media as well. This will switch instantly when you launch a table from the video to the image. And depends on your emulator, it can show your emulator backglass when game is loaded. If you have Mega Links setup for Backglass, DMD or Topper, the same links will be showed now as well if you right click on the InGame image: Media Audit is now also checking the 'InGame' images and will not report them as obsolete The IPDB list now also have teh manufacturer 'OrbitalPin' for some Original Tables If you use System menu in the front end, we also added 'Loading Videos/images' icon (loading videos/images will only be available when using Scutters 'PinballX Loading Video & Image Changer V2'(https://forums.gameex.com/forums/topic/23127-plugin-pinballx-loading-video-image-changer-de-randomiser-v2/ I checked FTP, and for Visual Pinball, filter media on 'Loading' and there are some nice Loading videos : You can also upload your own Loading system video/image It will contain the system name (and your GameEx username) and when others click on the ftp to download it, it will be filtered on the system name : We also included an extra user manual in the installation and will be available in your database manager folder or in your start menu entry : The user manual will shows and explains all the options and features we have and gives a load of examples as well. The Previous manual is renamed to 'Reference Manual', so you can still use it as reference The manual can also be downloaded individually from the Download section on this forum (https://forums.gameex.com/forums/files/file/2539-database-manager-for-pinballx-user-guide/) I'll hope you enjoy this release !

  13. There is pinballx documentation that exactly describes an upgrade process. An upgrade from w7/vista pinballx to .net core could cause a database overwrite (for fx3 i noticed this a couple of times) Always good to backup your database files
  14. Attach your Pinball.ini, and log files, DO NOT COPY THE CONTENTS , attach the actual files.
  15. There will be a release soon and a brand new documentation as well. Spoiler ??? Sorry
  16. I have a 4k samsung tv if you want You need to pick it up in the Netherlands
  17. Sorry. Its 4 am here There is an option to set window/fullscreen. You have it to full screen. Try setting it to window and resize the window. Clise pbx and set fullscreen again Also make sure that full screen windowed is set to yes. Btw. Tom mentioned about dpi. I recommend to set all screens to 100 dpi. If pf is 150 dpi, some backglasses and puppacks will not show correctly
  18. If you set within settings.exe windows to yes? Are you able to resize the window? My cabinet is in maintso not able to check anything (And thanks to call me Mr )
  19. No problem. About the save button, there is a save table button, that will do a save. Or ... what kind of save ro you miss? Save of xml is controlled in the settings. You can choose set autosave to yes, that will save all the changes. If you have autosave turned on, it will popup to save the table, if you have unsaved entries You can use 'table versions' to check all downloadable versions of a table
  20. Hi and thanks for reaching out to us. So, if I understand, you setup a vpx system and added a vp9 table with am alternate exe to the vp9 executable ? DBM wiill see indeed a vp9 table as obsolete in a vpx system. Normally you would setup an extra system for vp9 tables, but if you have just 1 table, it doesnt make sense. Is your system on low specs that the vpx version doesnt run smoothly ? If i remember correctly, there are 2 versions of strike n spares for vpx. And 1 was indeed bas
  21. Can't you set that to full screen by double click on the tittle bar of that window?
  22. @scutters, you say everything is fine from media audit, but maybe I'm wrong, but isnt the missing media saying a lot of playfields and backglasses are missing ? Or am I mislooking ? I know I mixup a lot lately ....
  23. Can you also post a screenshot of gamelist manager with at least 1 table that doesn't have playfield videos ? (I still prefer you check with databasemanager, as this program does some check, like @scutterssaid, on desktop or cabinet view)
  24. Lol. Totally agree
  25. What codecs did you install?
