  1. Nice ! Thanks ! I will download them tomorrow (if ftp is working)
  2. New goodies ?? You make me curious
  3. Thanks to @scutterswho did the bug fixes this week , we just release 1.4.3 Because we only did bugfixes, we upgraded the version with only patch version 3 Thanks @scutters for your work this week !
  4. Not sure what you want to capture, but the build in pinballx is pretty good. Can be accessed via game manager and_or database manager
  5. I could not find that screen, although steam says it is up to date ?
  6. After modifying the .ask file, you need to compile them again. The new exe file is able to run your modified commands
  7. @scutters did a good job ! Already on our list is that we are planning in a future release that we will add a button to recheck all tables and download (missing) media from GameEx FTP The mega links urls you can configure in the settings in the Mega tab. In the documentation I added an test URL. @scutters provided 2 urls where he had the permission from the owner. (And 2 posts below @joyrider3774also post some) Searching on the internet /forums you can find multiple. Wheels, instructions, flyers etc. Thanks for my pal Scutters who worked hard on these bugs. Because of covid-19 it is pretty busy at my work and didn't have time this week, but have some days of coming week
  8. Normally a parameter can contains a lot of things. Just what the programmer created, but I should assume if you have close=1, that means close=true. If you have close=0 than close is false. Tasskill is a windows program that with /f (force) kills /im (image name) "process" This should kill (force stop) the complete process
  9. Maybe PBX doesn't have enough rights to kill that process. Try to run pinballX as admin https://www.groovypost.com/howto/make-windows-10-apps-always-run-with-administrator-privileges/
  10. I hope your upgrade works. Not sure if your memory issue is bad memory from the 8gb OS or your graphical memory. I had a 1060 6Gb. All tables worked, but not fast enough in 4k. I bought one of the first 2070 cards and since than I don't have any issues anymore. Good luck !
  11. I have also created 2 complete overlay packs. It contains overlays, pre configured ini file and programs to configure and create the overlay videos. Only setup the systems and the path and you ready to go
  12. @johnwillsey Can you post your database file and your pinballx.ini (as attachment) ? Properly you have double entries in it, but need to check
  13. Thats your b2sserver that is giving an issue (.net error). Not sure why. Your b2s is disabled in pbx. Not sure what version you have of b2sserver, but think you need to search that way. What if you run from command line ? C:\Visual Pinball\VPinballX.exe /play -"C:\Visual Pinball\Tables\Avatar (Stern 2012)_Bigus(MOD)1.4.vpx"
  14. Thanks for the explanation. I already had an idea about the above. And good to tell the whole story. I hardley use vp9 tables , but thought only the resolution.txt (or something) was needed to change. And thats from the directb2s server to copy to the tables dir. Btw. Just to be sure : Im not sure why, but pbx videos are always 180° rotated when checking with a video player. When running pbx it rotates the video180° to play it correctly.
  15. With Database manager, we implemented an FTP test button to check your ftp credentials. These are gameex credentials, but not from settings.exe ! Try this and you can also download the same files from gameex
  16. PinballX is a free tool and should not be sold with hardware. Same as vpx tables. Its created by people and put many hours of work in it. If you got an old pinball cabinet , (and you are handy), just take a usb controller for your buttons, wire the buttons , setup windows, use a simple emulator (like fx3) and off yoy go ! To answer your question: I am not aware of sny kit
  17. Ah gotcha ! Sorry, thought rotate was exactly rotate. Hmm .. that should work. But in the settings.exe it rotates back at start to 270. Or am I mistaken ?
  18. Tom fixed the video issue. You got more options now, but think default is the same. Can you post a screenshot from the .net error again ? So to understand it right (sorry I'm Dutch and English is not my native language). You setup apollo and avatar completly. Youopen pbx and avatar plays fine. You exit avatar, go back to pbx, launch Apollo and you got the .net error on your backglass ?
  19. Thanks. Will try something tomorrow on my cab. I see you first rotate to 180°. In the ini you rotate at start 270°. On exit you rotate 270° again. I'm a bit confused by that I will tey what happen.
  20. Is it an option to rotate your screen 180° in Windows itself ? Or is that not possible ?
  21. As Tom speirs mentioned, this should work. The issue is that we cannot pinpoint the issue what is causing your problems. I'm running also a lot of VPX tables and have 4k tables and all runs fine through pbx. So if this is caused by a media, it would help Tom to nail down the issue. In Database manager we included an option to deleted a media. Maybe an option to try it. Load a table in database manager, load all media and try to delete it. I think a video of dmd, backglass or playfield is causing it. But just an assumption I take on the things you tell us. So hopefully you can find the issue, so Tom can include a fix (if a fix is needed) in a next release. Btw. I will try tomorrow to delete all media from a 4k table and download the media part from gamex ftp. Just to check if I have the same issue
  22. I don't follow one thing. You download all media content and than it wont launch the vpx table. Will it show that table correct in PBX ? I normally download only the audio, flyers and instructions. I create the playfield, backglass and dmd videos myself.
  23. Why are your video rotations not good ? Is it showing incorrectly in pinballx ?
  24. Great work @Tom Speirs! The hevc codec looks good and also reduces the file from 320mb - 86Mb on the 'medium' quality (21). (I noticed other videos that reduces from 100mb -> 8mb) I'm a bit experimenting with the values to make the best videos (for myself) that won't loose too much quality. And I can reduce my videos from 45sec to 20 sec. Don't think I notice the difference. Again. Thanks Tom for your hard work this weekend. It looks like you wanted an easy release, but finally took you way more time, but the end results is really amazing ! My videos directory can be reduced a lot (only the4 visual pinball directory is already 60gb)
