Freecammod is the easiest tool to jump directly to a table, because NoEx read memory addresses and select the correct table. PinballX has grid positions too (see gamemanager). I never used it, but think it works with key stroke. If Adamsfamily is the first table the grid wil be 1x1. The table below 1x2, and the table next to adamsfamily is 2x1. Etc Give it a try with some tables, before setting all tables

@vothar. Glad all worked out for you. And always a good feeling when people are happy

Ok. It costs me more than 2 hours. It is not a DBM issue, but a user issue All your favorite table name description starts with vpx_ But if you have wheels image you don't see the difference between those names, only you see the wheel images I could reproduce this issue on my test system by adding tables to my favorites only with names starting with the same character So I added al lot of tables starting with a B , and I have the same. It can even crash PBX (by pressing multiple times the page-up, and down keys). The crash should not happen, but you cannot scroll because all starts for PBX with the same character I renamed you XML and removed the VPX- and also renamed all in statistics.ini and than it works like a charm This is the zip file from above, but than working (and with all "vpx- " renamed) Let me know if this is working for you Databases.zip @Tom Speirs Tom, Is this something you can fix in PBX ? It is also happening with gamemanager entries. Just add only tables with starting the same characters (and more that it should scroll) When I go to Favorites, It shows all the tables. I can scroll through them, but if I hit the page-up key, PBX is crashing (see attached log) log.txt PinballX.ini Visual Pinball.xml Statistics.ini

the log and database files are shortcut files to your machine. Not usable to check for us. Did you check @scutterssuggestion to use DBM and check if you have any table in FX3 ? For some reasons, Gamemanager is a bit slow for FX3 database. Think it is doing stuff in the background. Databasemanager will handle this file much faster Im busy to implement a feature that will add all fx3 tables in DBM, but not able to check if you purchased them. Best way is to disable the table instead of deleting them Within PinballXinstallation there is a default xml for fx3 tables. Also on the ftp server you can find some up to date xml files.

When does it actually crashes ? Log file indeed doesn't show anything that you launch something. Is it the video that are unsupported ? Is there an eventlog entry that shows the crash (application log)? https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/75433 little hard to check/investigate with no errors
-
not sure if this is a pbx or a dbm issue. Can you zip your database directory and post it, so we can check ? I never seen this error. Please also your PinballX.ini and the log.txt (complete) when issue occurs Thanks

PinballX doesn't keep much carbage behind on files or registry. After uninstalling, check if your pinballx directory is removed you can deletr it afterwards and in the registry only hkcu\software\pinballx . But that doesn't hurt to leave that. If you have trouble launchin ponballx, please provide us what @Draco1962 asked :pinballx.ini and log.txt as attachment. The log file will overwrite each time, so make sure you send the file after you experience the issue

Word "Enabled" set table to disabled in PinballX ?
Mike_da_Spike replied to Mike_da_Spike's topic in General
Thanks Tom, not a big deal, but a strange one -
I found a very strange (bug ?, sorry I hate that word) issue in PinballX. When I have a field in Gamemanager that starts with the word "Enabled" (without quotes), it doesn't display in PinballX Doesn't matter if it I put it in field 'Description', 'Manufacturer' , 'year' or 'type'. Even the word "Enabled" alone or followed by any character, will the table not be showed in Pinballx For the field 'Game' it works fine Even if I create a custom field it has the same behavior. Looks like PinballX is doing something with the word 'enabled' at the beginning of any entry in the XML and set is to disabled in Pinballx. removing the word enabled shows it in PinballX again. Attached the Log.txt (but that doesn't show), my PinballX.ini file and the test XML I used log.txt PinballX.ini Visual Pinball.xml

No problem @GAH1068. Be aware that you loose all manually added fields we added when using gamemanager. Thats why we save the .bu file (and if you save it again, the bu file will be overwritten)

Well.. I can look in my christal ball, but not sure what you did. Can you post your fx3 database file, pinballx.ini and log.txt as attachment? Thank you

For bulk videos we cannot do a lot. As I mentioned before, we just use the PBX api for it. The best and simplest option for you would be to use the explorer button that will get you to the correct folder. Select indeed the height and weight or select on date created/modified. And delete these entries. With bulk videos, only select missing tables and those will be re-created.

yeah, that will control pinballx. Not sure if you modified only the ini file, or also updated your config on the website. I havr a batchfile running everytime that my cabinets starts to download the latest dof config
-
hmmm.. we just wanted to do bulk on the complete list and reset the filters during bulk actions. What kind of bulk actions did you have in mind on filtered objects ? We also have single buttons, that will do it per table

thanks for the compliments!. The createvideo part is created by PinballX itself. Our tool just ask to pinballx to record it with the settings from your pinballx.ini You can try to test it in gamemanager as well. This should use the exact same APzi If it is still not recording correctly, best way is to open a thread in general Section, so Tom can look at it Btw. Also use the media audit button to check unnecessary fikes in media. With that list you can properly cleanup a lot of media as well !

Do you modify your xml with a tool/script outside the our program ? During writing we create an extra file with extension .bu . If during load we see that the xml is newer than the .bu file, we warn with the popup. A failure in the xml load should (invalid char) be errored in the (action) log. So. It looks that outside database manager your xml is changed. Maybe check the 2 files on timestamp when you got the warning. We made this in case you loaded gamemanager and save it and loose a lot of custom settings we added

Just use the dof config website, go to table PinballX and do the user modification. Don't publish it for everybody ! http://configtool.vpuniverse.com/ @scutters, time to get out of your comfort zone and start playing with DOF
-
If you running as admin, please do an exit during game and after that post you log txt and pinballx.ini (as attachment)
-
It should not be the case. I have esc also mapped and closes vp. Try to launch pbx as admin and try again
-
Within pinballx there is an exit key. This exit the emulator, but also exit the system and can even exit PinballX
-
YEah. that takes less space in a room Mrs Da Spike would love that too. But now I have a full Arcade cabinet and a full Pinball Cabinet
