  1. It really bothers me when someone does not get a problem resolved here on the GX forums (even if it's from 2006). Especially when it involves not being able to play Tempest. Wonko, did you get your spinner working? I will continue to scour every topic until all problems are resolved! Believe it or not, I did not use the words "Tempest", or "spinner" in the search to find this... Wonko - I'm serious - did you get it to work?
  2. You are on a roll!

I DO NOT have them! Not that I want them, I'm just suprised. They are included in a new release of mame extras at a certain site for mass download.... I was also looking around for instruction cards, If I put all the ones I could find together, I probably wouldn't have 100. I really thought they would be cool on a secondary monitor.
  4. We used to use laptops when I was in boyscouts to start fires with...I always felt it was cheating. What if I got lost in the woods without my laptop? Greatflash - I appreciate all your B.S. You make me look sincere!

    I may have the PCB's I'll check.....
  6. Yeah, I have the info page with marquees, cabinets, Control panel, CPWizard panels, Screen shots. There may be more...I personally feel that the artwork is worth as much as the roms (almost) I don't think GX rotates through all of the options does it? I was thinking is was two or three categories... And so far as my other comment, he was saying that he might want more than on flyer for each game in one folder. In that case I was wondering what he was thinking how GX would handle that situation. (while Flyers is highlighted) 1. display one of the panels at random 2. cycle through them Does that make sense?
  7. And then what? Display them at random? Cycle through them? This is an interesting idea!
  8. It looks like 116 u1
  9. This seems like a good place to throw in the reference to the webpage that shows what games are supported better in other emulators other than Mame. http://nonmame.retrogames.com/

And to view the Manuals, you have to download the Manual Viewer from the Gameex site. I thought I'd throw that in... Actually, I'd like to know where to get instruction cards in one fell swoop. I think (if they are what I think they are) that they would be cool on a secondary monitor.
  11. Read this thread: http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=5174 Follow all of the links, and read the whole thing...Let me know what you think!
  12. That's true that there are only so many paths...But you can "sacrifice" one, and use it for Secondary flyers, here's how: Take one of the artwork categories that you aren't using (in my case PCB's), and in mame settings, point the path for PCB's to your secondary flyers (separate file from flyers). Then, go to Langauge, and select "Custom". Find the entry for PCB's, and change it to Secondary Flyers, or whatever makes YOU happy. Now in Gameex, when you select a game, and it shows the options for marquees, cabinets, etc. when you select "Secondary Flyers", it will display the optional flyers, or marquees, or whatever you put in the folder. If you want to see it fullscreen, press whatever key (button) you have setup as "select". I believe to exit fullscreen, you press "escape" Hey everybody.... Do you like apples? I answered a question, how do you like those apples? That's from "Goodwill Hunting". God, I hope my answer is correct!
  13. Try removing "triple buffer" from the mame options (command line).
  14. Looks like your off the hook Brian...If you're going to steal my answers, at least steal the one's where I'm actually right! And he didn't say "thanx for your help anyway Brian"
  15. This may be silly, but how about using the resolution that your descktop is at? 600x800, or whatever it is... Maybe your video card doesn't support 640x480? I am just guessing!
  16. I love you too Brian....

    Oh Noes..

    Make a back-up!
  18. Spike in posts huh? Well, I tell you what I'm not gonna do. I'm not going to hi-jack this thread, because HK got onto me for doing that to another thread, and it's already been Hi-jacked (By two mods, and an administrator) I'm not going to show a chart on the price of tea in china. I'm not going to poke fun at anyone. I'm going to do something crazy, like provide a solution to the problem. Cero21- Here's what I did... I did a batch output of my control panel. I then took one of the artwork categories that I wasn't using (in my case PCB's), and in mame settings, I pointed the path for PCB's to my CPWizard files that I had created. Then, go to Langauge, and select "Custom". Find the entry for PCB's, and change it to CPWizard, or whatever makes YOU happy. Now in Gameex, when you select a game, and it shows the options for marquees, cabinets, etc. when you select "CPWizard", it will display the Control panel as created by CPWizard. Good to hear from you again Shaunopp. I would post more often, but I'm still trying to setup Zinc.
  19. Thanks for the update Circo... Way to go Flash!
  20. It's also possible that your video card supports rotation. I have a dell with crappy on-board video, and it does...

    Grandstander.
  22. This is from Tom:

    Oh Noes..

Maybe you said "yes" to "use advanced mame"? I don't know if that disables mame or not...it seems like it would. Otherwise, check your paths in "Mame options" (Especially the location of your mame.exe)
  24. Anybody here watch the sitcom "The Big Bang Theory"? I think it's a riot! Are those guys geeks, or nerds? Since they have no social skills, I'm guessing nerds. It comes on Mondays at 8:00pm on CBS.
