I could do that but that would mean it being on 24/7 I use my arcade as a server so the pc is constantly on, so I'd rather it just came on with GameEx Thanks Stu

On my new control panel I have 2 buttons that I would like to remain lit at all times, this seems easy enough for all emulators other than mame, the buttons are assigned to custom2 in the configuration. I've tried setting them on in the default mame profile but it seems that each individual game profile then switches them off again Am I missing something? Thanks Stu

Problem solved, I just noticed that the 'Speak Game Name' plugin wasn't appearing in plugin manager even though the dll was in the folder so I removed the dll and no my list is back in sync I think this is a minor bug Tom, the plugin isn't initialising so you're not displaying it but you must still be keeping track of it somewhere for it to knock the list out of sync Stu
-
I'm getting somewhere with this That 'empty' plugin didn't bring up the config screen either so I decided it's definitely not the plugin, I noticed it was the last plugin in my list so I modified my cursor hider so that it was call zcursorhider so it would appear last in the list I clicked the config beside ultrastik again but still no joy, I then clicked the config button beside my zcursorhider but instead of my config appearing, headkaze's ultrastik about screen appears So I enabled zcursorhider and ran gameex and ultrastik plugin now works Obviously I have some sort of corrupt file in the plugin directory that is knocking the list out of sync Now just to work out which one Stu

I've had bother before when I was making a plugin and it turned out it was code further on down the plugin that was causing it break. I was goona go with the opposite approach and start by commenting out pretty much everything apart from the config button code and see if just that would work by itself, then start adding the code back in until it fails to initialise. I am running 640x480 but I can't see this being an issue as all the other plugin about screen appear, I have a fully configured LCD/LED Plugin that was all configured at 640x480. Stu
-
Yeah I had already tried the one from your site but it didn't make a difference and the new one you posted above didn't help either. It's really odd because all the other plugin config screens appear fine I even tried your rotate plugin which is your most recent, I think. If I had your code I was going to go through commenting out section by section until I can get it to load. My other PC is also Vista x64 and it works on it so thats not the problem. Stu

Any chance I could get a look at your code headkaze so I can try work this out myself? I really can't see what would be causing the about window not to appear, I've reinstalled dot net but hasn't made any difference Stu
-
I hadn't tried a reboot but just done one there now but now difference Is there supposed to be a config window for this pluggin? Although it lists in the manager when I click config nothing happens Stu **Update** Just tried it on another PC and I can see the about screen after click the config button in the manager. So what would cause that window to not appear on my cabinet pc? Stu

Seemingly it hasn't even managed to create the log file before erroring I have up to dot net 3.5 installed Thanks Stu

Having ArvadeVGA mode turned on may be your problem as you say you are using an onboard graphics card.., ArcadeVGA is a graphics card realeased by Ultimarc.com to let u play games at their native low resolutions that are unsupported by standard pc graphics cards So by turning this option on in GameEx you are telling it to play mame games at lower than 640x480 So if you turn off ArcadeVGA mode and just set mame.ini to run at 640x480 it will use that setting for everygame rather than having an separate ini for every game Stu

Have you managed to get PPjoy working with Vista x64? I've previously tried this method, though I was manually selecting the boot option myself but I still get the same installation error saying: "Error installing new device drivers. PPJoy will not be operational. You will need to manually install the device drivers." Thanks anyway, it was worth a shot Stu
-
Did this work Lawrence? If it did I can ask Tom to include it in the next release. Stu
-
Are there any alternatives to PPJoy out there? I'm running Vista x64 which won't let the driver install for PPJoy and so many games now will only let 1 player use the keyboard So far I'm thinking my only alternative is to install XP or Vista x86 or replace my keyboard encoder with a joystick encoder. I'd love to upgrade to a pair of UltraStik 360's but than means a whole new control panel Thanks Stu
-
I'm not at my pc to try this but last night I noticed a file in the config folder that seemed to list all the controls, maybe u can change them in there Stu

Been chatting with Andy from Ultimarc there and he reckons the latest version of the arcadeVGA supports pixel shader 3... I think it's time for an upgrade The new board is using the ATI HD 2400 chipset, which from looking online, supports pixel shader 4 and fully directx 10 compatible Stu

I gave Street Fighter IV a blast last night and I've some good and some bad news for you cabinet owners. The good news is, other than the initial launcher needing to be clicked the rest of the game is completely controlled via the keyboard or joypad, so a quick ahk script should take care launching the game. More good news is that it lets the resolution drop right down to 640x480 which is is the maximum my arcade monitor will display at. Now the bad, the Ultimarc ArcadeVGA doesn't support pixel shader 3 so I can't play it, I only get the intro movie then a black screen, but I'm sure most of the rest of you should be able to play it no problem. I was playing it on my other gaming PC and it's awesome Stu
-
I haven't tested it but give this version a go Stu CursorHider.rar
-
I'm looking for some save game files especially for Project 64 but I'm thinking it would be good to get some gathered up for other systems too Anyone now any sites? Cheers Stu
-
I've never had much luck with the create snaps or videos option in GameEx but I've been having pretty good success with FRAPS, it let's you assign a record key on your keyboard to start and stop recording. I also wrote a pluggin for GameEx that will automatically rename the FRAPS recording to be the same as the rom you where playing in GameEx Stu
-
Yeah no problem Tom Stu
-
I've uploaded v1.01 with the button1 disabled I'm not sure how to add application support though... Where does the plugin in system fire the event for launching an external application? I've checked the Event_EmulatorLoad and the Event_GameRun run but they don't include apllications Stu
-
Opps that button1 was just me testing stuff, I removed the code for it but must've forgot to remove the button I'll remove it and see about adding application support Stu
-
With my new found plugin skills I've created another wee plugin This one is to hide the cursor while running GameEx and emulators. I know a few of us have been using various external tools and scripts to this but I thought this would be neater and easier to set up for new people. By default the cursor will be hidden at all times in GameEx and Emulators If you go into the plugin configuration you can select any emulators that you want the cursor to be visible in or you can set it so that the cursors is visible in GameEx but then hidden when you play a game Stu CursorHider.zip
