  1. Day late and a dollar short, Hope you had a nice day, like you ought (to) I'm shit at poetry.. many happy returns
  2. Fair points. However, by the time you've added an SD card to the Pi3, you may as well have bought a Lenovo Ideacentre Stick 300 I picked one up for £46 (here) - runs Windows 10 + you can install GameEx on this bad boy. I do think that the assertion that SBCs will mark the demise of the PC is a little bit of a stretch, however. Struggle to imagine 4k video editing on a Pi....
  3. Agreed with @simbamame. If you're building a cab, you may as well get a cheap Dell + for the same price as a Pi, you can get better capability (i.e. plays N64, dreamcast, psp + Wii well). My view on SBCs is that they're better used in niche builds like the one this doofus made: Basically, anything over laptop size either slap a laptop or bigger in! And to answer the question - very very unlikely GameEx will be coming to linux any day soon? Mind you, Windows SBCs are now starting to catch up, so GE on an SBC might not be far off...
  4. In all seriousness, I love this idea. I see recalbox has recently added retroarch online multiplayer stuff and I was watching it thinking - "damn we need to get that onto GameEx." Maybe I was just looking for an excuse to code another plugin..dunno!? Let's get a GameEx MarioKart tournament started asap! Maybe a weekender to kill the time difference?
  5. Here you go: + bring it on. The UK virtually created home gaming so we'll thrash to pants off you all.... Unfortunately, there's only me and @simbamame in the UK club at the moment, but I'll get the Queen to give some others a bell.. Oh, and I don't have xbox. Back to playstation for this gen. However, how about a Retroarch online tourney?
  6. I've put some up and coming UK events on the club calendar...
  7. What's the program? If it takes it, it might be better to send it command line instructions via "launch before" and "launch after" rather than use SendKeys
  8. Personally, I use Recalbox. It's got a few less bells and whistles than retropie, but I like it. Think the main difference is themes and video snaps, but on systems with limited storage, I prefer not to have videos filling the space. https://www.recalbox.com/ Oh, if you also use recalbox, you can also use my windows app which greatly simplifies game management: https://sites.google.com/view/magoarcade/software/recalboxer?authuser=0 Working hard on the next release which also includes ability to manage the metadata from the app - this also uses Selph Scraper to batch scrape and its own scraper for individual game scraping.

  21. Hi. I'm stigzler. I like mangos, rock smashing and peashooters. Oh, I also spend far too much time making stuff that doesn't advance civilisation one bit.
