  1. Here's how I do it: Make sure dropbox sync is up and running (Programs) Save images somewhere within the "public" folder of your dropbox folder (the folder on your PC. Open Dropbox folder on your PC. Right click the image. Select "Copy Public Link" Voila! Your url. Should look something like: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/15144043/site%20posts/GAMEEX/dbox.pngPiccy:
  2. Did someone say "fight club"?

    1. DazzleHP

      DazzleHP

      Not me - shhhhhhh *hides*

  3. I wonder if there's a bit of confusion around where to enable mouse settings? You will have to get mice(!?) working in each emulator, not in GameEx. So you need to be changing the emulator settings, not GE settings. GameEx is just a launcher of the emulators, telling it which game to launch too. hope this helps.
  4. Lol (pardon me). Wizard.
  5. Tried emailing Elton John? I think his pinballing days are long gone.
  6. This is great news for cabs! Be fantastic if could add customisable functikns linked to hotkeys
  7. I share your pain, brother! The winvice setup was techie but worth it. Great emu. Depends on your cab setup. Theres a basic joystick setup in the emu menu allowing joy directions and fire. However, I also mapped other commonly used c64 keys to cab buttons like Space and RunStop. Used lot in games and loaders. Second thing was all the great functions in winvice like snapshots, videos, warp all mappable to hotkeys. You have to edit some ini somewhere for these. I used autohotkey to map cab buttons to the hotkey/c64 buttons, but you could also use the Advanced Config function in GE to do this. I was meaning to put guides on my site to the setups, so if you get stuck, just holler. Oh and make sure you map the Toggle joyport key to a cab button too. Good luck chap
  8. Evenin Max. Ive found dropbox really good for this type of thing. Beauty is it sits in your os as a folder. You can place any pictures or screenshots etc in there, and once sync'd (automatic and quick) you just right click on the image and select "copy public link" if I remember you have to make sure you place them in the "public" folder. It realyy does make forums a doddle and great for things like screenshots (I use Screenshot captor) when trouble shooting. The different versions of bbcode used by different forums, on the other hand is a whole different world of pain entirely.
  9. Went for 8 recently when building rig. Wanted to run ps2 etc, so needing 64 bit, high ram etc. Tbh, I havent found it too bad. Use classic shell to rid of tgat awful metro crap, but sometimes it still rears its ugly head (app selection etc). Im hoping m$ will split off tablet vs desktop os s as theyre two separate enbironments. Ovrrall, happy with 8.
  10. Hmmm... newbie to this beta testing lark, and this "server stress test weekend" isn't really a lot of fun so far! Wonder if I'll get a discounted sub for my services?
  11. I'm gonna play as a fat middle aged government worker who;s good with a router and spends far too much time tinkering with things when he should be doing other pursuits. And I know... I'm lining myself up nicely for a $15 a month expenditure that I really can't afford!
  12. I shall do my duty as a gaming elder! Its on fri to sun , didnt have to do any pre activation or anything
  13. (and plan to do a big munchie shop on Friday so don't have to leave the house all weekend)
  14. Have both model 2 and lightguns - not set up yet - what lightgun games it play? Desperate to get Lost World setup - is that model 2 or 3?
  15. heh. think i did similar post once about ssf!
  16. good work tmpst, amd great share, night
  17. Great idea. Thought before that it would be helpful to have a GameEx Wiki? I'm possibly speaking out my *nice weather* a bit because dont know the ins and outs of wiki creation/maintenance, but have used wikis elsewhere and they were really accessible and helpful. Guess the other thing is that they're user editable? My tuppence! Was gonna do the same on my site for my setup. Some ideas for structure for each emulator: Basic and advanced setups Condensed relevant essential settings (command line, launch before/after, advanced config script) Useful files download (adv config bat, ahk scripts, other bat files) Additional application launches e.g. TopGun for PS2 lihhtgun games Details or links to command line switches Intermediary launchers eg. Pcsx2lunch or the amiga one Approaches and scripts to improve emu setups eg saving per game settings Gameex plugin setups Individual emu setups eg the nulldc ini edit - that one was a bugger! Considerations for setups with cabs, htpcs, laptops etc. Additional info for each emu e.g. hotkeys, augmentations to emu, gfx and sound plugins Just some ideas!
  18. Love seeing others' builds. You keeping a log anywhere? I'm sure youve read, but you rejoin at an exciting time with the new game ex coming out this year. In terms of FE tinkering (themes etc) id be inclined to get on with my build first and then come to the FE last. By that time GE2 will be out. Depending on how quickly you solder and route, of course!
  19. I do like this skin. Looking forward to the finished article.
  20. *looks around befuddled* Huh? Me? Whoa. Whadda do!? Wow. Must have reached my 100th post or summat! Well cheers chaps. Suprised and pleased. And thanks for your help, patience and tolerance of my various stages of pestering whilst trying to grasp the reins of this petulant beast that is retro emulation and cab building. Elite, huh? I always remember that great docking station scene on the BBC micro. Bring out the geek!
  21. It's a plugin purple patch. Great work.
  22. Is there life after cab build?
  23. Hey. Cheers chaps, just come across this now. What a good bunch y'all are. Thanks for all the help and support this year - gameex and this community have been the hub of my cab project. Keep on trucking...
  24. Yes! Get in! Thanks Adultery - happy days indeed. As a matter of interest, what was the prob? Probably be bit beyond my comprehension, but having spent ages wrestling with button mappings/DInput etc, bit interested in keystroke side of things. Thanks for sorting this!
