The topic of revival arcades is an interesting one. I put one on the map in London (HOG) - they basically snapped up all of the arcade machines when that massive one in (Leicester) Square closed. I remember going in there - it was like the weatherspoons of arcades. There's some articles against the HOG entry. My fondest: being 8 on holiday in wales. Small village - parents drinking, me and a mate found a back room arcade room - must have only been 5 games in there. But.. one was Spy Hunter - running into the pub every 30 minutes - "can I have another 50p?" If you dare say it, I dare be it, Dazzle. And yes, open to all! This region thing keeps coming up... maybe I need to rewrite something somewhere. Dazzle - get yer pin on! There's no other UK builders on there yet.... do the side proud

Thanks Draco - went with your suggestions in the end -- Big Shout Out to Stu1983 for mapping what look like his local arcades -- (If I'm ever in Potrush, I know where to go now!) OK - I know it's not good for you, but I just can't stop fiddling with it. Replaced those dreary map pins with some more relevant markers: I'm gonna see how many space invaders I can get onto the map! Thanks to those who've contributed/helped.

Right you are, Hans. No need to shout, buddy. Looks like the "builder" word is causing some confusion. This was always gonna be a task! See what you mean there, Draco, but want to keep the number of categories down - need one category to cover people who construct/build/make/create pincabs, cabs, htpcs, other systems that play games.... OK, so what about: Games Systems Creators - Hobbyist Games Systems Creators - Commercial And then sub-catagories for: Pincabs Aracade Cabinets Fightsticks Pedestal Systems Jukeboxs (not strictly a game I know!) Bandits (there must be others) I haven't got the right type of mind for this! It's an exercise in taxonomy. Anyone know any librarians? Thanks for the constructive comments, and any further suggestions welcomed.

Yeah = good suggestion Draco. So, thinking of changing the Arcade Machine Builder to: Arcade System Builder - Hobbyist Arcade System Builder - Commercial (or maybe "Games System Builder"??) That way including HTPC, pincabs and other variants. Categorisation's a nightmare!

Not really Hans - did you have a look at it? I'm hoping that isn't the message that comes across. It's for anyone interested in any kinda setup to play games. You can place links on there + any kinda system would do - HTPCs included. Guess this is getting down to the brass tacs of making this thing work - so would you have any suggestions if that's the message you got? I guess things like Categories and Details are gonan be clinchers - would welcome any constructive feedback.

1st 3 = Lucas' peak of creativity/drive and vision (although American Graffiti was awfully good) 2nd 3 = a middle aged fella trying to re-capture the glories of his formative years by tinkering with new technology (of which, I am just a guilty, George ) imho. :/

Features: Puts a pin on a map where you/your buiness iss.However over the pin for all your details: website, email etc.Filter pins and the table by various catagories: Builders, Services, Supplies, Links etcData also visualised by a fully filterable (!?) table.Filter table by tags.Pictures tell a thousand words, so: Aim: To build a database of all us builders - personally, it'd be interesting to see who builds in the UK. Neat pedestal! With the size of that screen, its just begging for light guns! Not very often you hear about kerfing! My intro to that was kerfing some skirting board around bowed chimney breast. Badly plastered. I did it! 30 mins making a jig and I was away!

Wondering which console and handheld games play well on a cab or using an arcade stick? Want to know what type of arcade controls can be used with each game? Want to browse or contribute setup notes for games? This is a small project I've set up to try and collate peoples' experience with setting up console games on arcade cabs. Users can contribute games onto this 'database' and share with others their ratings for ease-of-setup and a game's suitability for a cab. I found myself in the position of finishing (ish!?) my cab, but then found I wasn't sure which were the best games to put onto it. Peoples' recommendations were dotted all over forums, so thought I'd invite the marvelous cab + arcade building community to contribute to this centralized repository.
