I do appreciate you letting me know, but could I ask anyone who supports GameEx, pm's or emails me when this happens with full details and where I can find the torrent etc. Like I said I appreciate it but posts like this dont help me solve the problem, and in general makes things a lot worse. In which case it shouldnt be a problem, I can add the extension to GameEx. I assume this is some kind of realmedia format .rmvb? I have not heard of it before, could you give me a little info on it save me googling? I do realise these days a lot more codec packs have support for real media, so maybe it is a good time to add support for it. Although its something I would certainly never and I guess others wouldnt use. Could you explain why you need this format? Is there something I am missing?

If the files can be played in WMP (even though GameEx uses DirectX and not WMP) then it should be no problem adding the file extension to the supported ones, but I think this is generally not the case here.

Its not a bug its a limitiation. Ill consider implementing it. This should be posted under Feature requests. Despite popular belief I have not got ESP and cannot memorise every single post here.

By the way, Ill add the xpadder info to the faq and links page as soon as I get a chance. I have not looked at it but your all giving it the thumbs up so it has to be very good. I wonder, does anyone know if it can be manually programmed by config files or something. maybe I could code some integration for it to make it easier for folks?

Hi, I have been looking at this but its a bit difficult because I cant duplicate it. What would help though is if you could both post gameex.ini in the config folder zipping it first. If I can get it to do it for me it should be no problem getting it fixed. Thanks. Tom

Can you not just view the currenty play list. Im asking because if not its probably a bug rather than feature. You access the current playlist by accessing the bottom menu item on the left.

I missed that one HK. Very cool idea, could even make it transparent, so it does not askyou each time like windows, which is kind of anoying.

I think it comes down to the fact initally GameEx was donationware, now yes it has evolved is technically more commercial, but I have strong reluctance to cash in on it and try and make a killing. Headkaze sums it up best and if youd been here a while you would have actually seen all that happen. I think its more like communityware or cooperativeware if there is such a thing or if I just invented it!!

I looked at the code, and it would cause this error if the resolution was not set in GameEx configuration.

Oh I see, I didnt realise it was not a specific GameEx problem. What I notice in your log though, is your actually trying to run AdvanceMAME here, but in your post you say MAME32 wont run. AdvanceMAME.exe is not MAME32 or regular MAME. Other thing is older version of GameEx. Tom.

Hi, I'm not entirely sure what this is "yet". It may be a bug, but I can tell you its not directly related to that error. What this is indicating is GameEx cant restart DirectX properly. Probably because its aready in use by another application. ie MAME. All I can suggest, is trying a completely different version of MAME. Also make sure GamEx is not detecting an exit ket such as escape key or back on an mce remote. Thanks. Tom

Its working fine for me with latest version of Smartie. I selected 1942 and it showed the controls. However I did notice the plugin download on the LCD docs page is actually an old outdated one. The correct one is on the download page. That would certainly explain why you were not getting functions above a certain number. Download the plugin again, I think that will do it. Thanks. Tom
