  1. Control Panel > System > Advanced > Visual Affects: Adjust for best performance. Should help.. At the least you wont see GameEx minimize.
  2. Its not been cancelled, but I dont think I'm going to keep the Beta test private. Ill likely do a public Beta. My main issue with TV is its nothing new anymore, and its something that is never going to be better than Media Center in a million years, so I'm not too motivated about spending a year of my life on this. Most of the other PVR software has been wiped out by MS, and with MS forcing pc suppliers to use Vista its only going to get worse. I do have code that timeshifts and records on XP Pro SP2 using analog AV input. I could release that into GameEx, but then Im concerned people will just want more from it, and for now its XP PRO SP2 only. A TV guide cannot be done worldwide legally and without costing, and my advice to anyone who wants to completely "replace" there cable box in the living room is use media center. Its good and after all GameEx is also an MCE plugin, and also a launcher so should also be able to launch any other PVR software. This is not negative, just realistic. What do you all think??
  3. Again - please post your log.
  4. Very nice kaze. That last screenshot deffinitly has my juices going..
  5. I just had an email from Headkaze. From what I undesrtand this will affect "everyone". They've implemented multiple keyborad suporrt in MAME. Not quite sure what to do for now.
  6. I agree, go for a 750gb, or raid 2 of them together. The 750GB drives are fast drives too because there perpendicular. Im not completely up to date, but last I heard was they outperform all the 500GB's. I didnt realise other companies were doing them now, but again I agree got to be good for competition.
  7. I noticed scan has an actual internal 1TB drive now. I think its hitachi. Here's the link: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Products.as...2&OrderBy=1 Its a great time to buy from the states if your in the UK, because of the exchange rate, but generally it can be a real pain. No offence to anyone, but a lot of companies in the states, just dont "understand" about non US stuff. EDIT: In addition about the stripping the drive, I think yourll find that Lacie drive has two 500GB drives in it. 1TB singal drives are brand new as far as I know. I think the only one is the Hitachi. Tom
  8. Hi, Could you post your full log please. Thanks. Tom
  9. The latency is not too bad at all, but is a problem none the less. I am hoping I can get it right for the next release. Its certainly good overkill for start, credit and menu keys. Im not sure what delay your talking about in MAME? This is for emulator configs in GameEx.
  10. To me this sounds like an issue with ArcadeVGA drivers. That error you refer to is a file from the ATI drivers. The ArcadeVGA mode in GameEx does not do anything until you run a MAME game, and even then it would not cause anything like your describing. Things to look at are the resolution your running GameEx at and again the drivers. What OS are you running?
  11. Sounds like a tricky problem to solve, but the next step is posting your full log. Also did this first occur before upgrading GameEx to the latest version?
  12. This is fixed in 8.17 now available.
  13. Sorry, my bad, forgot to update a dbase field, and then went out for a beer. Should be live now. Thanks for letting me know.
  14. 16th June, 2007 - GameEx 8.16 It may not seem much from these release notes, but theres a lot of code gone into this release Finally with help from Headkaze the Sendkeys used in GameEx is now fully stable and improved. It works better and fixes crashes in windows and gameex when sending keys to an emulator from GameEx and when sending keys on exit via an advanced config file On the subject of advanced config files, 12 gamepad buttons are now supported, and there's a new section for remapping keys similar to AutoHotKey. Its not quite good enough for realtime gaming but is meant to cover the common issue of when credit and start buttons cant be redefined in PC games, and avoids the need for additional autohotkey scripts in that scenario. Its not far off realtime and does handle simultaneous keys, and Im pretty certain I can get it realtime in a future release
  15. OK, remove the startup video. That's where it is failing. Might be that you dont have codecs.
  16. Please post the whole log.
  17. LMAO! That one really made me chuckle
  18. Please welcome our new moderator Adultery here on the forums. He's already one of our biggest contributors, and now joins Headkaze and myself keeping an eye on things when needed. Thank you very much for all your help. Tom
  19. Yes, that's exactly why. Sorry for not clearing this up earlier.
  20. There's no bug report thread because a lot of folks report bugs when actually they just need a little help with something, or are reporting a bug in an older version. I generally rely on the hardcore folks here to let me know as and when, and I am pretty speedy. To answer your question, I thought this was fixed a couple a versions ago. Are you using the latest version? Configuration *should* appear under "More Games and Programs"
  21. Drop me an email mate, you can have one. Call it payback for all the hours you kept me entertained
  22. Basically, its exactly as it says in the log. 14:23:41.4 6/13/2007: Error: Emulator_2: 7-Zip/Goodmerge support is a registered version only feature 14:23:41.4 6/13/2007: --Please correct the error above for this emulator or disable the emulator. Go ahead and change the settings for emulator 2. Basically turn off 7-zip. Sounds like 7-zip maybe a new feature since you upgraded GameEx and its putting in a default. In addition, as we're old buddies, your welcome to a free registered version of GameEx anyway, obviously. Drop me a mail if thats the issue.
  23. Really sorry. At this moment in time thats the best I've got for you. Tom
  24. My only other suggestion is ditch the bare bones XP, its obviously missing some files for standard database access.
  25. Your most welcome, as I've said before feedback is very important to me. Also I wont go into details you know who you are and you know what happened and I wanted to thank you for your support, messages, and suggestions last few days. Its true in that you arnt all assholes Seriously, thanks folks. Bottom line I think it all turned out ok in the end, and its business as usual. Lets keep the dream alive. Cheers! Tom
