I know that instant sheller can't currently change win7 boot screen but I was wondering if it might now be possible to add support. I saw a utility here http://www.coderforlife.com/projects/win7boot/#HowtoUse that allows for it.
I guess I'm stuck with either rewiring the buttons or setting up Xpadder like bkenobi did. Bkenobi, do you disable Xpadder when you play games or do you have it running at all times?
Yes, I was referring to paging. If the input is strictly joypad, or strictly keypad, it works fine. But with the setup I have, I am mixing the two. Joypad input for the joystick and keyboard input for the buttons. I know I could wire up the buttons to the ultrastik but I would like to avoid the extra work if I can. Thanks.
I recently swapped out my 8 way joys for ultrastiks and now the accelerated scrolling feature of gameex no longer works. The buttons are still wired up to the ipac. Would it be possible to add the ability to use the shift_paging button for the keyboard with the joystick?
It doesn't have to be alternating games. Just any 2 player game, whether alternating or simultaneous, and the joystick doesn't light up. 4 player and 3 player games light up fine, alternating or not. Tempest, that sounds like a real nice utility. I have been looking for something just like that.
I think I found a minor bug. If a game is a 2 player game and it uses a joystick, the joystick led won't light. But if it is a 4 player game and it uses a joystick, the joystick led will light.
I actually compared some screenshots of the biggest font size setting to the smallest and I stand corrected. There is a difference but it is very slight. The largest setting is still very small and hard to see on my arcade monitor. The text is no where near as big as it is when in horizontal mode with the same text size setting.
As far as I know, gameex is currently limited to a resolution of 640x480 or 800x600 in vertical mode and I was wondering if it could be expanded to include 1024x768? Reason being is that I have an ega monitor in my cab and I have it set up to run at a resolution of 1024x768i which currently won't work with gameex in vertical mode.
There is something like this out there offered by weavefuture. I don't know a whole lot about it but I believe they have hardware and software solutions with the whole intention of turning your pc into a commercial money maker.
It works fine for me now. The problem I had was that gameextender viewer didn't start automatically when you started gameex. I had the launch the viewer manually before firing up gameex. That's not a problem now since there is an option the load the viewer when gameex starts.
