  1. Let me know if I need to do anything. Cheers.
  2. I dont wanna bust your balls. However: I agree with you on Daphne, but in terms of the others, I believe its a matter of personal choice on those. I dont believe everyone would want it to work that way. If there so important why are they not prominently listed under feature requests? Even if the majority do feel that way, there certainly not showstoppers, and why arnt people shouting? Im always open to suggestions, and implement anything that makes sense. More than any other software I personally know.
  3. Its by design, its not a codec issue. It just stretches all videos to fill the screen.
  4. Its funny how all my upgrades screw up things isnt it... Not...
  5. Not sure, post the log please.
  6. GameEx 8.88 is here: http://www.gameex.net/GameExSetup_8.88.exe Can you try and see if the problem still persists? I think your'll have the same issue, but we can try at least. I do mess up once in a while
  7. Also, open the plugin manager and ensure the UltraStik plugin is turned off.
  8. What version of GameEx were you previously using? Nothing has changed in recent versions that would affect this. Either way its a codec issue. If your having to convert divx to xvid, something was screwy anyway, regardless.
  9. You shouldnt loose your settings. That is the proper way to move gameex. Copy the folder and install over the top. It has an advanced install, theres no patching involved with GameEx. What auto update does is download the full install, there is not a patch as such. You can download the full install from the site of course, but you should install it where you want it to go. Its highly unlikely yourll lose your settings, but you can always back up the folder.
  10. If you go ahead an actually "install" gameex in the folder of the new location. The auto update *should* work. as it should remember the location. If you just moved the folder with explorer thats probably the problem.
  11. I'm sorry you feel that way, but there are things to try to address this.
  12. No big deal, its an easy mistake for someone to make that assumption that GameEx revisions work that way. Its actually a compliment as it implies kind of GameEx is of commercial quailty. To be honest, I have not done anything since the last release other than bug fixing. I've been busy with work and personal things (good personal things). As well as being on holiday for 10 days, and having some nasty virus that I've only just shifted. Anyway, its all still good because of the forum and all the cool and new projects etc going on here.
  13. No, as I dont like to set deadlines as this is supposed to be a hobby. Generally, having pressure kills the fun a bit for me. Also, 8.89, 8.90 etc will come first.
  14. Don't worry. Its not for sale

    Xpadder

I think the "cleanest" and most "proper" is with the registry. Although ideally XPadder itself should "install" and set in the registry where it is installed, but you probably couldnt easily retrieve that value from a batch file, youd have to use some other code/script.
  16. Firstly its not for MAME, these features are primarily for PC games. There also not simple to setup in gameex (yet). As youve only asked what they are I wont go into configuration. Mouse is at says, but like I said its not for MAME. The key remapping is used to map keys that cant be defined in PC games to keys setup on your arcade controls. For example a PC game requires F1 to start, but your p1 button on your control panel is mapped to the 1 key. So you map F1 to 1. For the blocking, say a pc games has an undefinable key that exits the game, and this is the same as button 1 on your arcade controls. You'd block the key so you dont accidently exit the game with your arcade controls.
  17. This has been done, and will be in the next release.
  18. I had my 6 pints last night, while watching our ass kicking.

  20. No worries. You can still do a slimline install. Just do it yourself. Use nlite, its brilliant (i dontated so its has to be good . You can nlite your xp install yourself. Anything that has the potential to screw up your system is marked in red, so just remove the safe stuff, and anything else you know you dont need (for example parallel port drivers, potential dangerious only if you want a printer). The problem with the pre-done packages are that they try and remove to much, and not tailored to the use you need. The thing to note, is that you need to get the OS install for what your using it for.
  21. Something stipped out. Its a common issue with barebone XP installs.
  22. Im rebooting the server now, should fix it. That happens every now and then for some reason. The news page is correct. the rest of the releases were bug fixes.
  23. If I can get my real work done today, then new version this weekend. I wish more people would use the chat to, maybe we should set up a schedule or something to all get together there.
  24. Yeah it does, but for performance reasons a while back, i set it not to update them for really old versions. I've just changed that, as it probably wernt one of my best ideas.
  25. If you can wait until the next version you shouldnt loose your favorites whatever version your upgrading from. As it is now, old versions thats possible. See the news page on the home page for whats new and changed in GameEx. You can see what version you have either by looking at the log file (its in the start menu program group) or clicking the question mark button on the toolbar.
