  1. Dont worry, porns easily replaced if you got a broadband connection lol.
  2. FYI: Forum now supports rar and 7-zip uploads. I think we are all mostly very savvy and dont have winzip installed (ive not used it since 1999) so should be good Thank NoLogic for prompting me. If your in Europe or Australia and still up (or sober), merry Christmas.
  3. Not real interesting I know but main difference is positioningg of that key and the @ key. Also UK keyboard has a pound key as in currency. In the rest of europe if I rmemeber the keyboard is more like the US one. Accept its not easy to get the @ key without some ALT shifting etc.. You can tell Im fairly well travelled
  4. On a US keyboard you press shift and the slash key above enter.
  5. Actually, it seems its not disabled for v1 vertical games. Must have changed it by mistake. So you should be able to set GameEx to only list vertical games, and yourll see the issue after a while. I did not make a note of the games. I think what it is some games are rotated in the arcades by 270 degrees and some by 90, so for some ganes the bezel is flipped. Currently in GameEx I only record whether the games is vertical and not the rotation angle.
  6. Well in 50 years, Ill be 84. If GameEx is still going we'll be up to version 400.50. Although I suspect Ill be burnt out well before then Happy holidays!!
  7. Hi, you need to post your log so I can see why. Are you running an old version of Model 2 emulator? That could be it.
  8. Is this when the Karaoke is in Queue mode?
  9. It seems to work fine for me. Can you try the latest version of GameEx as some of the display changes could have fixed this. Could you also try setting not to set resolution, and of course post the log again. Thanks. Tom
  10. This one should work with GameEx. I've replace the line feeds with carriage return + line feed. See attached. Rankings.zip
  11. I've disabled it for vertical games, as on some games it shows upside down. Something to do with the default rotation of the original games in MAME I think.
  12. Fixed in 9.04. Also V1 Bezels are supported just not for vertical games. Also the new bezel feature does not work when ArcadeVGA mode is enabled. Although I will be doing something with that, to give an option to use higher res for screensaver.
  13. Can you post your full log?
  14. Its what I did. I just bought an old JAMMA cab, and stuck an X-Arcade on it. If you just want to play the classic arcade games and play them like they originaly where its good, and you dont mind a few issues that these old monitors have such as a little burn in or stretching on one side. If your a perfectionist, arnt into the classics, or want to play modern stuff then dont bother.
  15. Adding it to the FAQ now.....
  16. Good timing, Its in 9.03 just released a few minutes ago.
  17. 20th December, 2007 - GameEx 9.03 A fairly nice update featuring some new features MAME Bezels are no longer a registered version feature New feature to display game information and rating bezels for the screensaver. This looks really nice, and you can thank Headkaze for this. Updated model 2 support to work with latest version. GameEx will also detect whether to use the multi cpu version automatically IMPORTANT: Older versions of the model 2 emulator prioir to commnad line support are NO longer supported. GameEx will detect an old version at startup, and exit with an error to that affect if it finds one. Basic control panel support for emulators has been implemented. You can specify an image folder for control panels now. If GameEx finds an image based on name, you will get a view controls option on the game info page, and same as for MAME GameEx will show the image for 9 seconds when launching a game. I don't forrsee expanding on this much, and if you want better control panel support I recommend using Headkaze's CPWizard. When playing radio stations GameEx now shows the track/title information when available Should fix array bounds error on startup when using GameLauncher mode Fixes theme editor menu/info positioning issue I'd like again to thank the GameEx community for al there hard work and support, and wish you all Happy Holidays
  18. You need to set the setting similar to Brian suggested but in the screensaver setup. If you set sound to play it should play sound in the videos.
  19. Thanks Brian. I've just rebooted the server. Sorry I've not been around much, I have been working on GameEx a little, but its a busy time of year for me. Customers all want to finish the projects before the new year. Cheers. Tom.
  20. Something to that affect is actually in the pipeline and should be in the next relesae.
  21. Does anyone else have this problem? Not sure if its a bug or not. Appreciate any help. Cheers.
  22. Not on guys, come on, rules. 4. Do not provide information on where to find ROMS. 5. Do not talk or post links about illegal software or using software illegally. This includes commercial applications when used illegaly (cracks, warez etc), and free software when used illegaly including illegal MAME builds.
  23. NL, Unfortunatly the quotes do have to be doubled up. When the Windows API INI reader reads the string it automatically remove the quotes. So there removed before my code even sees it. So basically you need the double quotes. However if everything is working as it should when you export a config it SHOULD export with double quotes. The only souldtion to this would be to code an ini class that does not use the windows API. I may well do that at some point. I was going to leave that until I look again at doing a linux or Mac port of GameEx. Cheers. Tom
  24. Open up the plugin manager in the programs group, then make sure all plugins are turned off. Try that. HK, thats the internal .net code, not my code. I cant see what the exact error is at the moment, as Im away at the moment. Cheers. Tom
  25. You dont need to be concerned with that. The install does an auto upgrade and keeps settings. So just copy the entire gameex folder over from your staging to the production machine, then run the gameex install over the top of it.
