    auto play dvd

    No, its not currently possible.
  2. That was all a good laugh. Thanks for that folks Orclords submission is best by far. Despite him being a bit soft, he always makes me laugh Seriosly that was the best, but as Orc already has a license the winner is MortyMoose. Please contact me by email to get your license. Good job all
  3. I never pass by help, advice, or contributions, but yes it is closed source I am afraid. If I ever get tired of the project (which there is no sign of), Ill probably make it open source or pass on the reign to Headkaze. ie. It wont die.
  4. Moved to feature requests.
  5. The latest version should pick up files with extension .mp4. So not sure what's going on there. I've also not heard of videos having this extension though. Are the files just not showing up in GameEx, or will they not play? What are .mp4 video files? Have you tried renaming them to .avi? For information, GameEx only uses windows media player to play wmv files (so it plays drm) otherwise it uses DirectX.
  6. I have not looked at this, but it sounds impressive. I would like to offer you some web space to host this if you want it. It can be your own site or part of the GameEx portal. Drop me an email if you want to take me up on it. Good job.
  7. Hang in there Brian. All the best.
  8. Mapping the drive should work fine. If you want to map the drive at startup then use NET USE from the command line, and have GameE run it at startup. example: net use h: \\server\share /user:username password
  9. 26th August, 2007 - GameEx 8.77 Now supports MAME PCB images Video player now supports files with .mp4 extension
  10. Check you've not got an emulator "group" enabled in the advanced configuration.
  11. Sorry, I thought you were talking about GameEx. The screensaver won't bypass the disclaimers in MAME 0.118 or above, due to changes in MAME. I may do an update to it soon.
  12. Are you using the latest GameEx version? Works fine for me with skip_gameinfo (which is now enabled by default on new GameEx install) Only time it wont work, is when MAME does not emulatoe the game 100% or your ROM/sCHD's are bad. What version of GameEx are you running? There were enhancments relating to this issue. Edit: There were UI changes in 0.118
  13. Does the page not load first though? It does here with IE7 Ive got no issues.
  14. I saw some posts about people reporting performance issues with the forum, but can't find the topic now. I've just updgraded the forum to the latest version. If your still experiencing performance issues please let me know in this thread. Thanks. Tom.
  15. OK folks its time for another license giveaway. This time the competition idea is courtesy of Brian Hoffman. Come up with a slogan for GameEx, best one or best several (depending on entrants) get a free GameEx license. Funny entrants are welcome too. Best does not necesarily mean best for real use. Of course if there any really good ones, I reserve the right to use them royalty free One entry per user.
  16. You can't change the "play this game" but what you can do is turn off that info page under the emulator settings, so it just launches the video.
  17. Could you tell us exactly what formats are not showing up in GameEx? As far as I am aware it should support just about everything, including .divx and .mkv
  18. Come on HK, everyone knows its 20 bucks for a hand job, and 40 for a BJ. lol
  19. Very creative KC. Did you code that yourself? What was it done in? Very interested to know. Thanks for yet another fine contribution. Tom.
  20. Not Currently, but the thing you probably have not done is turn off AniBak = in the theme.ini of the theme your using. This can make a big differene on old gfx cards.
  21. I can't duplicate the problem. I disabled my network card, and GameEx loaded as normal. Any networking is done on low priority background threads, so GameEx should load as normal. It certainly does not wait for a connection or anything. So really not sure what was going on. Maybe you needed a reboot?
  22. Yeah, thats the issue with the new drivers, before I put in the fix. Since you upgraded drivers your getting it.
  23. Here is the latest GameEx without the patch for ATI cards. Could you confirm its ok? The changes to alpha blending was a change to the actual transition the transition is longer but should look better. Can you let me know what you think? GameEx.zip
  24. Actually the fixes are for newer ATI drivers, which broke the 3d transitions. The patch was to make them run on the newer drivers, but the side effect is they run slower on the older drivers. Upgrading the drivers wont help, as the latest ATI drivers are still broken. Im going to either add an option for the older drivers, or detect driver version in the next release. Wont be long.
  25. There is already an option for this.
