Im not able to test this, but is the media extender service enabled and running on your machine? I would not think closing media center should stop the extender service. Does it do the same thing if you just close media center normally?

Home is not an option for joysticks, but you should just be able to press shift1 and shift2 together.

I always went for a shuttle in my cabs. I can get an ArcadeVGA card in that and any hard disks, networking etc so it seemed to make sense to me.

Why not test it out and see, you can get a sample from the site. I just tested with DKong.

I tested a sample from the site and it works fine for me on mid range quad core. Both when showing in the background alpha blended and in the corner. This was on Vista too. The alpha blend only matters when there playing as the background image. Its because the video are 60fps that makes it require more horespower. I agree with Greatflash in that any Dual Core should do it.

Im also the project manager for GameEx, so have to take decisions about what it will and wont do, and sometimes I just have to leave certain things to other products, as they just dont always fit. Thanks for the push, but no not even nearly yet, in fact I expect Ill get a lot of requests for that kind of thing once I release it. I have not cracked under the pressure just yet, so we should be good for a few more features Although I prefer software to just work, and Ive not really ever been into the whole skinning thing. v3 themes are more of a media center or htpc enhancment to me right now, although should work really nice on a cab, theres just no positional skinning yet.

If you just want to use the search feature, you should be able to cycle through the alphabet by pressing up and down, is that not working?

I think its because I signed the exectuable. It does not need to be signed anymore since it does not need admin to run, so I just uploaded a new version 0.92. Let me know if it fixes it for you. Thanks. Tom

Thats because the executable is signed, you know how like when you download exe's from the web, and run them you get published by Micrsofot do you trust this program. Well Thwate provide signing certificates for web sites ie ssl and also for apps. It probably was not too good an idea for me to do that.
