  1. Seems to be working to me. Like I said it may keep the last extract in there, but it wont build up. I did find a small problem. I've been testing with Future Pinball, and the current support only lists game in the root extracted folder. With FP sometimes the game is in a version number folder within that.
  2. No, thank you, and I hope I did not steel your thunder here.
  3. What it does currently (or should) is delete the contents everytime before it unzips something else. So you will see something in the folder after you exit gameex, but the contents wont build up. At least they shouldnt.
  4. What I am trying out now is expanding the existing 7zip support to also handle zip files. I think this "might" be the best way to handle this and it only required a couple of small changes to GameEx. Thoughts?
  5. If you have a arcadevga just use Vanilla MAME and turn on the arcadeVGA settings in GameEx. Your monitor wont be damaged if you have a JPAC. I use the exact same setup on my cab, and just use Vanilla MAME. AdvanceMAME and Soft15Khz are designed for people that DONT have an ArcadeVGA card generally. Since you have a "Hardware" rather than "software" solution it really is cake . PS: Dont confuse AdvanceD MAME settings in the config with AdvanceMAME.
  6. Thanks. Ill take a look when I get a chance.
  7. The timing is a coincidence as I was planning on adding unzipping support for emulators shortly. Im just still pondering on how to do it exactly. As said the 7-zip support is really meant for goodmerge support currently, so dont sweat over anything, and thanks for contributing So another question is would people prefer to see a wrapper, or have unzipping support in GameEx itself?
  8. You need to go into GameExtender in the advanced configuration application for this, and change user name. You can optionally put a message by changing user info.
  9. Enable GameExtender Publisher AND turn off GameExtender Server
  10. Im all for having a laugh, but some people generally need help with GameEx, and I do see it as a professional product. Can I ask if you do want to goof off you try not to hijack threads to do it, at least not too often. Thanks.
  11. I was experiencing some problems myself earlier, but it seems ok now
  12. Im hoping its just temporary crazy busy, otherwise might have to do something. Im actually a little concerned. Of course maybe unnecesarily.
  13. I can add support to launch CPWizard instead of GameEx own viewer. Like HK Says, we just have not got around to it. I dont think its a matter of consent or anything. Im having trouble just keeping up with the forum lately, let alone adding new features to GameEx, and HK is always busy working on his projects too.
  14. Sorry, probably should have done it before. Ill add a link. FYI: The LCD/LED plugin is included with GameEx.
  15. You cant currently, other by playing jukebox or pausing via the normal way.
  16. Ill look into it. Theres no way to change what it displays yet. Maybe in the future.
  17. What CD Ripper are you talking about? You dont need to have the Spesoft Free CD Ripper to rip cd's in GameEx. Its a completely unrelated application. Also as far as I know it has no dependencies on that DLL. Can you provide some more details?
  18. Sorry I meant post those files after the error occurs.
  19. Yes you can change startup video. In the configuration yourll see a statup video setting. Although It sounds like your using one of alpha themes, and it might be preset in theme.ini in C:\Program Files\GameEx\THEMES\Your theme.
  20. Can you try the attached updated exe. Also post gxren.png and gx.png from the data folder. If your running GameEx and viewer on the same machine therell be both on the same machine, otherwise gx.png will be on the machine running GameEx. Are you sure the PNG's are not corrupted? GameExtender.zip
  21. Its only those two. The partners page on the web site has this info.
  22. Can you try the latest GameEx release. I increased the time it waits before creating the video to 16 seconds. The videos are stored in the snap/video path set for the emulator.
  23. Its the configuration and branding, the actual "program" is the same. So you can still use the updates from gameex.net.
  24. You might want to check out the Digital Leisure commercial version. I know the Space Ace CD makes you repeat the scenes. Not sure about DL though, but like Brian said thats how it was in the arcades. Actually I know here in the UK, there was a version in the arcades, where i think the scenes were sequential, not sure if you could repeat them though. I think it was by Imaginara. The other version was Atari which was more popular. Interestingly the Imaginara version had an led to display the score, while the atari showed on the monitor. Also the timing of the moves were slightly different making the game harder.
  25. If the game has controls you should see them before the game starts, and by default by pressing L in game. Its working for me in the latest release with latest MAME. What versions are you running? Did you change the path to controls.ini in the configs?
