I cant duplicate the issue, and I cant think of anything that would have changed to affect it. Can you try and invistigate further? Anything else changed on your system?

It should remember the folder it was last manually installed to. So I would suggest doing another install and make sure you specify the other directory.

I dont know about the decoding issue, but FRAPS is a good option for creating videos. Yourll need to transcode them though after creation. I install the Xvid encoder http://www.xvidmovies.com/codec/ and use virtual dub for that. You can also use the xvid encoder with GameEx' own video snap creation. Make sure you uininstall any other mpeg 4 codecs first though.

Ive never know it do that. Obviously, question is are you using the latest version of GameEx. If so please post your log.

Now the big question is, as V3 themes are now the defaults at the moment, is it an improvement over the old default V1 themes. I hope so, but would like some feedback of course on how I could improve it. Ive got a few minor niggles with the menu navigation focus, but overall its supposed to be better than how it was. And yes I do plan to implement some "positional" skinning, hopefully with help from Ben, this will be known as V4 themes, and also all existing themes will still work.

While I do actually appreciate people standing up for me and GameEx (I really do), can i ask that we dont antoganate anyone who hijacks the forum, whether you feel they deserve it or not and whatever there behaviour I feel some of the retaliation posts I have seen are really not acceptable, and unkind. Like I said before if you have the rom folder open in explorer at the same time it will cause problems.

Please export and post one of your configs. Just a though but is your hard disk having issues? also if you have explorer open on the extracted folder it will cause problems.

Hi, that actually looks like a very nice feature of Mala. GameEx currently has no equivalent to that, so it currently cant be done sorry. I dont really no what else to suggest other than me to implement something similar in GameEx. If there is other demand for it I may do it.

Can you export and post the config. Maybe your 7zips are corrupt in some instances, can you try to narrow it down to a particular circumstance when it happens ad when it doesnt, that would help.

Just to update on this, I had to to turn off Vsync to get the HQ videos to play properly when GameEx is full screen.

Im ok with how things are for now, I actually like the off topic posts and I think its a good things for us that have been around a while (including me). I was only kidding above, I think everything is fine, as long as honest help requests from new users dont get hijacked. If theres demand for a seperate forum Ill create one though. I had a nightmare last night. The GameEx forum got completely out of control, and everyone started posting off topic bullshit since we had this new user named after a black and white vector game join. I was glad when I woke up it was all a dream... Or was it.. AAAAHHH!

Does it work if you use the default media center theme? By the way the 1kb is normal, its supposed to do that, as it just extracts the list of files in the 7zip not the files themselves.

You just put the full file path and file name to the image. e.g C:\folder\image.png
