I forgot to mention in the release notes, but GameEx now also supports UNC paths throughout the application.

I dont think its applicable to old registrations as that was before the pomotion was setup, so I dont think its fair to ask but really it would be up to Circo.

Yeah, post the log. I did change something with videos in 9.30, but only if your running videos as the background image.

I guess that would explain it. Should be able to fix that. In terms of the res issue, the only thing I can think to do is add a pause after launching cpwizarrd, the only other thing I can suggest is if CPWizartd checks the desktop resolution as one of the first things it does. It does actually launch it before changing res, but its the delay of it starting up thats the issue.

Sorry for not chiming in earlier. I dont have a problem with doing the color keying. Still thinking about the best way to do it though. HK, by the way I took your advice I am currently watching Juno.

Thanks Ben, there really was not much to do for it since you have those nice command line options. I dont know about the speech, the plugin is not waiting for a doevents or anything is it? In regard to -artwork, it means GameEx is not properly detecting the version of MAME, it should use -bezel instead for newer versions. You can manually change it by changing bezelversion in the ini to 2, but ultimatly if its not working for you id like to fix it.

GameEx does support it, and id love to see it.

After setting "verify roms" update the list again. If your still having problems let us know what MAME your running and post the GameEx log (after doing an update list).

Its not currently possible, but will be a feature in the next release, available shortly.

Actually it was not quite the obvious, if the volume is not set GameEx wont even play the audio files, not just play them at a low volume.

Well regardless, I can see the problem. You have 7-zip enabled. Since the 7-zip support now supports zips in the latest release, thats whats screwing up your config.

OK, i wonder if thats the problem or bug in GameEx. Can you try not using the map file and see if then works fine. i know its not the fix, but will identify if thats the problem.

I just loaded your config up and found the problem. its because the music volume is not set.

I dont know what that system crash is. 99.9% sure its not GameEx related. Fatal crashes are generally hardware related. I had to replace my media center pc recently because it rebooted all the time. Never figured out what it was. And please post your log and gameex.ini

Its working fine here. Are you actually running 9.28? there was an update issue earlier. If not maybe its a resolution or theme issue?
