  1. Yes the service is active. I did some more testing. If I have my extender up and running, and load gameex via windows (not launched from media center) GameEx hangs, the media extender disconnects, and then the media center interface loads, and the extender can be reconnected. It didn't look like the service stopped. As for exiting media center normally, the extender stays connected, as the service is still active. Very strange.
  2. Unfortunately Using the default setting for Media Center interaction (exit) disables the ability for MCE to communicate with an Extender. (Specifically a Linksys DMA2100). If changing the setting to no interaction, or Pause the problem goes away. The problem is that for those of us using a remote control focus will always revert to the media center interface when any button on the remote is used. Is there any way this can be addressed?
  3. Has anybody had any success getting Netflix Instant viewing working through GameEx as a HTML app? There's an issue with the video overlay. I get the Sound, and if I alt tab between windows explorer and GameEx I see the video briefly. Other than that it's a no go.
  4. I was only using the ffdshow codec, (no xvid or divx install) and the video was corupted. xvid worked flawlessly. I should have mentioned that I re-installed the codec after switching to ffdshow. I'm sorry if I caused any confusion.
  5. I solved the problem by uninstalling ffdshow, and re-installing xvid for media playback. I guess the problem lied in an ffdshow setting, as to what it was I don't know! everything is back to normal now, so I think I'll leave it the way it is.
  6. I'm having the same issue too. And only recently, after an upgrade. Some of my video is corrupted as well. motion trails and blocky viedo as well as being upside down. I'll check my codec setting and see if I can resolve the problem. Although I have doubts. When playing the video snaps in any other program the video is fine.
  7. Yes, I have but a few problems... 1.) If a rom hasn't been loaded before the screen saver just hangs on the ownership disclaimer. 2.) If I could set it so that it only played videos, that would be a fine solution too but I can only set a ratio, not just play videos exclusively. 3.) Since I have high thread priority enabled, certain games lock up the audio decoding at times. 4.) It would be nice to use a screen saver with audio visualizations. Thanks for the quick response! Any ideas/solutions?
  8. Just would like to start by thanking Tom for such an awesome program. I've gotten great use out of it! Now, my question: I'm using a CRT RPTV as my main display, and would like to activate a screensaver when listening to an internet radio station, or MP3. i.e. My girlfriend likes the internet radio station feature, but I'd love to trigger a screensaver (*.scr) when a station is launched so I don't wory about burn-in when I'm not home. Is this possible? If not would it be possible to add a feature where, at the very least the screen is blacked out when a station/MP3 is selected? Thanks for any advice.
