  1. Actually, just found its a small bug. It only lists them seperatly if it finds more than 2 instead of correctly more than 1. If will be fixed in the next release.
  2. Are you saying theres multiple zips within each zip? That would be different to what I have then. Sorry. Your best best is to go whether suggesion in that case then.
  3. Hi Stub, Im not sure at the moment. I know it supposed to show "play this game" if it only finds one game matching the rom filter, otherwise it should list the seperate files. (The game info page is where it says "plays this game". Its just its possible to turn that off).
  4. It works fine for me. My zips are like that. Maybe you dont have the game information page enabled? If not it will load the first one.
  5. Just a quick update, we're not going to go with 3 seperate databases now. Not on topic, but Im also looking at having online lists like we have for MAME but for the other emulators. Now Im lucky enough to have headkaze heading this effort, we should be able to standardize the databases enough to make this possible.
  6. Disabling Tiple buffer enhances performance, not slowdown.
  7. 17th June, 2007 - GameEx 9.37 Fixes key repeat when returning from viewing artwork/picture An Emulator list will recache if the database is updated When in Video lists, will now also show box art with V3 themes
  8. Perhaps you have a key assigned twice for both stop/start jukebox and something else?
  9. Which version of MAME are using? Could you try updating the game list again? The bad information is stored when thats run. Its obviously having a problem reading the gamelist xml output from MAME. Which I expect is due to the version you are running.
  10. Im not an expert on doing it and its not possible on all hardware, but you could try underclocking the cpu, ram and video card. ive done it myself in the past as to reduce noise on my living room PC.
  11. Hi all, Ive modifed one of the pinned topics to include wrappers/loaders and Map files. Ive noticed theres been a few new ones lately and them getting lost in the forum. If youve created one please post it in the pinned topic. That way everyone can benefit from them.
  12. Thanks for this Alan. I would like to update the GameEx ICON. The issue is though that it adds quite a bit of memory on to the executable size, and I want to try to keep as lean as possible. Is there anyway you could do a modified version with just the mininimum sizing and colours? Then hopefully it can be used in future versions. Thaks again.
  13. I may personally get some use out of this. Im going to check it out. I have sone Sony Media changers and have wrote a script to copy all my discs to the hard drive. I plan to copy all my discs to a NAS box I just bought. All 800 of them. Timing is good for this. I also just discovered Win DVD 9. The uspacaling is awesome. It also has this motion detection feature, which has literally got to be seen to be believed. Try watching a Matrix film with it. I suggest anyone who uses and HTPC setup to check it out. So I was planning on enhancing the DVD on Discs feature to use an external player, ie Win DVD 9. It would be cool to have database support in GameEx for my DVDs though, and win dvd could be run as an emulator. So basically are there any features you would like from me to enhance a DVDs on Disk setup? Or anything I can do to enhance in built support for this kind of thing (topic post).
  14. You absolutely need an ArcadeVGA card to get any benefit from an arcade monitor, so dont buy one without the other, or get a normal monitor.

    XOR files?

    Please explain how this ok??
  16. Just been working on this. Previewing at the same time will be in the next release with a V3 theme. If you select the video, you should get a video info page, assuming you have the show game information setting turned on. There you can view the box art. In the next release yourll be able to view it full screen like other artwork.
  17. Latest version of GameEx will also download album art, assuming the album and artist are tagged and it can find a match. ID Tags themeselves only contain text as Brian said.
  18. I was thinking about this, and wondered if you had the screensaver setting to turn off the display on? If its not that Can you provide full detail and files.
  19. Are you talking about GameExtender? All I can say is V4 themes will be skinnable V3 themes, and it will happen, but I dont like to set deadlines, as it makes things less fun.
  20. Highly unlikely, in fact pretty much impossible. Its probably just installed to a different location.
  21. Should deffinitly be fixed in 9.35. Sorry!
  22. Thanks for the report. Will be fixed in 9.34. Uploading now.
  23. 7th June, 2008 - GameEx 9.33 Album and DVD artwork downloading is working again. It needed to be rewritten to work with Amazon's latest API as the older API is no longer active In addition album artwork is also now downloaded when GameEx starts playing a new track and for each track played as well as just downloading when viewing a track or album in the list in the Jukebox Fixes Gamelauncher theme not loading Minor fixes to the fix to emulator list feature Theres a new quality setting for eBooks and comics, giving the opporutinity to use a normal quality setting and have them load up faster 3D menu transitions can now be used on Vista and with version three themes An item has been added to the FAQ which explains what to do if your not getting SPDIF passthrough when playing DVDs Enjoy the weekend GameEx'ers
  24. I think I may add a setting for lower quality. I have actually been thinking about this for a while For the comics, its does extract the entire archive and create all the images first, but its the image processing which slows things down. For PDF it does not create every image first, it does I think 10 and then it displays and then creates the rest on the thread, but displays first.
