  1. Actually it works as a component of Gamebase. If you set up GameBase outside of GamEx, and then set up your Gamebase folder in GameEx, it will automatically recognize your roms, artwork... and music too. Not sure though if you can play sids as an intro...
  2. @Adultery: nice signature!!!
  3. Thanks again!!!
  4. Thanks to you Tom! Quick and ready fixes as always!
  5. As stated in the title, sid files (commodore 64 music files) are not working anymore. GameEx freezes: I mean, no crash, it just freezes. I'm able to close the application with ALT+F4, though. Please Tom look into this... No errors reported in the log. Alpha.
  6. In fact, as I already stated, for me there is no difference, and buttons are working as expected. I'm waiting too to see if this is only a "mathematical" view or if there is a real issue!
  7. Nice contribution! Thanks null!
  8. And you have my agreement, Krak. Every time I launch GamEx I got a "Downloading MAMEArtwork" message... and I have no idea of what it is!
  9. @ClassicGMR: You explained the issue very well. I use a USB joypad (Kraun). I already noticed that GameEx numbers the keys starting from 0, while Windows starts from 1... and a lot of emulators use the GameEx schema. But I hadn't any issue with this so far, though. When I set a key, it works, and it doesn't matter if for Windows is "0" and for GameEx is "1". But it seems that, in your case, keys are not bound correctly, isn't it?
  10. Here's what I have to report with 12.75 so far: 1 - Control images. Image files that you set up to show just after you launch a game. They are stretched to fullscreen, and this is no good since you'll get a distorted shape, unless the image file does fit the screen size. If I manually select the file from the emulator menu, the aspect ratio is preserved, so this happens only when I launch a game... This didn't happen with 12.70. 2 - Some problems with Project64. With the new version, the command line that worked before didn't work anymore. As I guessed, the problem was the space in the directory. Before: F:\EMULATORS\NINTENDO 64 Now I set it as: F:\EMULATORS\NINTENDO64 And it works. So this can be considered as resolved, although I have to report that previous versions of GameEx were able to manage the spaces. So far so good. I can live without that space. I would have other questions but I'll wait to check the software more before I post dumb questions or pseudo-bugs. Basically, this transition to a new format databases were not without difficulties, but now the program is stable (for me, at least). Thank you Tom once again for your care and effort! Thumbs up!
  11. About the Olympics... for a person like me who was educated in classic literature I feel touched every time I see the torch rite goin' on... It is a greek rite that has been perpetuated through centuries... Sane competition, all the valour of the humanity has been putted in a single place.
  12. Some of my emulator doesn't work. Now I'll go to sleep. See you tomorrow...
  13. Yes Yes Yes!!!! No crashes anymore! Thank you Tom!
  14. Cleaning the cache? I emptied the whole GameEx directory just to be sure to have a clean installaton...
  15. Same for me. Just tried the 12.73 with the last executable provided. EDIT: with "crash" I mean that it ends abruptely, no error widnow. log.txt
  16. Good work Circo!
  17. In the meantime, I was able to revert to 12.70. LOL! I found the installer on my pendrive.
  18. @Adultery: actually my fireplace lighted my whole GameEx house! I need the Fireman!!!
  19. Yes, I missed the bugs from the bottom of my hearth!
  20. It's not a matter of GameEx configuraton, I fear. I hope that you backed up at least GameEx.ini and custominput.ini, just to save your settings...
  21. I did, Tom. I ran the offline installer.
  22. First of all, we are working in you MAME roms folder. Inside this folder, you need to create a folder with the same name of the rom. For example, for Killer Instinct (rom named kinst.zip), create a new folder in MAME\roms\ labeled "kinst" (MAME\roms\kinst\). Put your chd file (uncompressed) there, and you'll should be fine.
  23. Sorry, I got an instant crash. It seems that GameEx can't find "C:\GameEx\DATA\EMULATORS". I installed GameEx in a different directory. log.txt
  24. Thanks Tom! I'm going to download and install the update! I'll let you know in a short time! Thanks again!
  25. In fact I don't have any SQLite installed on my PC. And, having followed the installation process, I can say that no SQLite installation took place. But, I ask, was it necessary to have Microsoft Office installed in order for GameEx to read mdb files? I can't say because I have MS Office installed. Thanks for you attention Draco, I hope this issue will be resolved soon.
