Well it won't work as integrated mame, just so y'all know. It doesn't support the same commands as a full on build does, so you can't build a game list from it. AFAIK it only uses the core and none of the configure options are useable in the same way mame is. Admittedly I didn't read this whole topic if someone else pointed that out already.

I got that email, just skimmed it though. I generally don't play demos but I might in this case.

You can access the store by pressing the 'store' link on top of the forum page, next to downloads, chat, wiki and whatnot.

Well if it helps you feel better, I'm going to be doing the same. Since I lost a bunch of things anyways I'm going to push the cab up to Windows 8.1 Pro and start completely over from scratch. I could probably use a refresher anyway after all these years.

Perhaps, but we have always supported and recommended Shark007, although I've had success with cccp too. But MP4 is supported without a codec afaik... You might take a look at Spesoft Video Converter, which should support converting via ffmpeg.

So... I want to add a timer to the plugin that shows the amount of time your game session was and add that to the snap. Thoughts on this?

I mean, there's a macro in place to prompt for additional info (log, ini) every time you post. I'm not sure what else can be done really.

Just lost a hdd myself and I feel your pain. Usually I just raid my server but didn't want to spend the money for my games drive. This time around I updated my server to a quad core and 8gb of RAM, and put in an ssd for the OS. Wish I would have done it sooner... But still bummed about losing years worth of collecting. In the end, raid your drives if you don't want to lose your data. All hard drives fail, it's just the way it is. Oh and stay away from WD Green Power drives. At least in my experience they don't last as long.

Your best bet right now is to send a PM to Greatflash, he leads the database charge. I'm sure he'd be happy to assist you. As for Evolution, afaik we are keeping with the database structure for the future so that shouldn't be an issue.
